  1. Hello ☺️ Diet noob here I have tried calorie and macro counting but it is just not sustainable for my lifestyle. My parter cooks the majority of meals and he absolutely hates measuring everything so it never lasts long. Has anyone managed to lose weight without counting? My diet is somewhat up and down ( yesterday I ate a bread roll with turkey, a row of chocolate, a jelly cup and some lasagne ) some days I barely eat and sometimes I eat more... but never excessively. I used to do a lot of exercise like spartan type things but recently had a baby so I have not been able to leave the house long enough to go back to the gym so I’m pretty much sedentary at the moment.

I am an exersise noob... and confused about calories... i am not currently counting... frankly it annoys the hell out of me... as as i somestimes tend to undereat i get to the end of the day, see a deficet of like 900 calories, freak out and try to make it up an hour before bed... so i dislike counting... but i have been excersising and i am gaining weight and losing muscle so i feel i shoud try again coz somethings not working. My issues is, every calorie calculator tells me something different... anything from between 1700 - 2100! So i have no clue how much to aim for. Here are my stats: Female 68kg 162cm tall 32 years old Excersise routine: 30m cardio 2 times a week 60m cardio 1 time a week body pump 3 times a week .. i try to use heavy weights here, missing a small amount of reps but i figured the extra weight would be good? Can anyone please help me figure out what im supposed to be eating? Thankyou
  5. i did speak to my doc about it.... he did a full blood workout, said there was nothing wrong with it, and then said to up my cardio :/
  6. oh damn... im reading up about my puffer.. alot of these : Pulmicort has controlled my asthma, which is why I have taken it for so long. I tried not taking it for about 2 years, and lost 18kg in that time (about 40lbs). Since going back onto Pulmicort that weight has gone back on and no amount of dieting or exercise seems to help
  7. i read this? Pulmicort contains budesonide which is a corticosteroid.
  8. i average around 1200... sometimes under, sometimes over... i tried to make it to 1700 everyday for a while a month back but it was a struggle to eat so much! i still suck at running, but i am slowly getting better.... i am 30 years old and this is the first time i have been able to run for longer than 5 mins due to asthma... but i got a shiny new preventer and now i dont get asthma at all

I am female and i have two little kids, i go to bed 10:30/11 every night and wake up either at 7 or at 10 if i get a sleep in.. i do wake up severaly times a night though so its not uninterupted.... and i do admit to struggling with my water intake...i dont drink bad things... i just dont drink .. but im trying to remember to drink. so only go to the gym for 3-4 days a week? ( i love the term crazy pants btw ) do all my cardio and weights only on those days? i would feel lazy but i do realise the need for rest

  12. i have been going to the gym pretty much everday for a month....before that i was doing jillian michaels videos at home.. i measure with a scale and a measuring tape, in the morning soon as i get up at the gym im still finding my weight routine.... but i usually spend a hour ish doing various weight excersises ... due to the advice here i will be toning it down to four excersises with higher reps and on the alternate days i mindlessly run on the treadmill or eliptical for about 20 - 30m
  13. please forgive my rant ~ i am exercising for an hour at the gym everyday with a mix of cardio and weights, i have changed how i eat - breakfast if either cereal or egg and tomato omelet, lunch is veg soup or a salad, and dinner is either fish or meat with veg.... i only eat carbs once or twice a week for dinner... i gained weight which while depressing i am assuming its muscle weight... but i am not losing fat at all... my inches are not moving... infact my stomach is an inch bigger than it was a couple weeks ago... i am trying so hard to lose weight but i am failing and i dont know why
  14. the other day i did barbell squats, 12 reps then 10 reps, then 8 then 6 ... ending up with a 25kg weight.... so i am trying i dont think im half assing it i have changed my diet as well , my biggest diet issue atm is drinking water...i just find it hard to remember to drink at all during the day... on a good day i might drink half a litre but usually not :/
  15. i will check the logs thankyou my pretty vague goal is to lose 10 ish kg's and to tone up, get a little bit of muscles going... by the end of the year would be great but thats prolly not possible i prefer bodyweight and weights exercises to cardio...i find cardio pretty boring but i understand i prolly need to do it for maximum effect
  16. okay... thank you so much for everyones responses i understand what you mean by less exercise, higher reps... im still lost as to what exercises to do...and do i do them every alternate day and the days in between do i do cardio for max weight loss? I dont suppose any super bored person would be able to make me a week workout schedule pretty please? i know its alot to ask... im just super lost... i dont suppose any of you work out here in adelaide, australia or can i do all the workouts listed here by you wonderful people, one each day?
  17. oh wow, this will take some getting used to...for the past couple weeks going to the gym i have been doing workouts from my iphone coz i dont really know what im doing and a workout would be like this : 3 sets and 15 reps of pretty much everything: jack knife situps one leg squat one arm cable row cable standing military press smith machine squat dumbell lunge cable pull through incline bench press machine pull down kneeling cable crunch *circuit* ab plank sit up machine back extention excersise ball twisting crunch and that would be my workout...take about an hour..... i will feel lazy just doing four exercises..... are you sure its better for me and will still make me lose weight and gain muscle/tone up just doing four exercises?

  20. hi there, im new to this site and unfortunatly i dont hacve the money to buy the book...i have been reading the articles and have put togather a workout routine for me... could someone please tell me if its ok or not? i would like to lose 10 or so kilos and gain some pretty muscle squats with a barbell incline dumbell press deadlift pullups ( i can manage about 4 on the assist machine ) body weight squats pushups lunge dumbell rows plank thankyou i am quite new to all this gym busness

Hello there, My name is Crystal, i am 30 years old from Australia..., i love rpg games and i have played a few online games. currently playing neverwinter while biding my time for elder scrolls and ffrr. i decided i wanted to lose weight about 5 years ago after a particually bad year living in a bedsit eating nothing but rubbish, and i gained 15kgs... i rejoined taekwondo, and started using the wii fit... i lost weight but then had two kids... last year i was back down to 58kgs but now im back up to 68kgs and i have no kidea why the rebound.. im quite upset about it... so a few months ago i started calorie counting, but i realised i dont really overeat.... talked to some people on MFP who suggested i force myself to eat 1700cals, but that diddnt do anything...except make me hate eating... so i ate at 1200cals and did the 5:2 diet but i had no changes either.... so now i have joined a gym, and cut out carbs from my diet except for one day a week as alot of my meals are potato, rice and spagetti... i am quite a fussy eater, alot of foods i dont like. so here i am, going to the gym everday and following the weight workouts on my phone app coz i dont really know what im doing, and not eating spagetti so um yeah... thats me...nice to meet you all
