  1. Time to report! This was my challenge: During the course of this six week challenge my body's odometer will turn over 18,262 days (i.e., 50 years) --- yay..... So it seems fitting that I should have a 50-ish theme this time around. Main goal: Lose 50 lbs. Nah, let's move the decimal point over and make it 5 lbs. I'm not going to commit to that over six week's, but who knows?! Here I failed, and probably moved the needle in the wrong direction. How to get there: #1: 50 jumping jacks/day Bam! #2: 50 pushups/day Bam! #3: 50 squats/day Bam! Resolution: If I slip a day, the
  2. I'm back!!! Happy to report that I have kept the 50-50-50 challenge going every single day.... and I have also now officially turned 50. Speaking of 50, I'd be happy if the thermometer hit 50! Ha.
  3. Yes, I'm looking forward to stick art again in the spring! As for the Big 50, my plan is to make it the same as any other B-Day. My dear wife, though, has been doing a 50-day countdown, giving me a gift each day. I'm a lucky guy.
  4. Challenge posted. Enjoy!
  5. THIS is a fantastic challenge, Mad Hatter. Has no one given you avocados? Enjoy! It's always a roll of the dice as to whether one's avocado is going to be ripe or disgusting. Fortunately, today was a good day. For breakfast I separated three eggs, whipped the whites, folded in the yolks, added a generous dash of Tabasco sauce and made an omelet with an entire sliced avocado in the center. Mmmmmm.
  6. Six days in and the streak is alive!
  7. Love the photos. Stump removal = fun, right? How nice to get a workout while accomplishing a task for the family. I remember clearing out space and setting up a railroad tie border for a swing set. Building the new swing set was a nice Lego-project, and wouldn't mind doing that again. Also had A LOT of fun demolishing the old swing set. Good luck!
  8. As someone who is about to turn 50, I'm just curious what you mean by your Level 50?
  9. Hello, Urzie. Better late than never, huh? What is a cruiser board?
  10. This pooch is an inspiration. Such confidence and control!
  11. Hey, Assassins! I haven't participated in a mini-challenge for a while, but I'm back today. Just did level one stretches. Man, that camel pose is hard. Let's go build that bridge!
  12. Hey, Assassins. After three days, I'm 3 for 3. This "simple" approach may just work. The pushups are getting a little tougher, though....

How to get there: #1: 50 jumping jacks/day #2: 50 pushups/day #3: 50 squats/day Resolution: If I slip a day, the requirements will rollover. In the past, I've made my goals too complicated, so by simplifying the challenge I hope to actually notch
  14. Hello, fellow assassins (and Whovians)! With the 50th Anniversary of Doctor Who occurring during the midst of this challenge, it seemed only fitting to tailor my challenge with a Doctor Who theme. Long-term quest: The Adipose are irrepressibly cute. But they are also 100% fat, and if I’m going to become more assassiny, some of them are going to have to go. “If you love someone, set it free!†Time for these young creatures to leave the nest. Current goals to advance the quest: 1. “Run!†At some point in many an episode, the Doctor's response to a danger is to Run!!! Acc
  15. You betcha! It was a challenge getting tix for the first showing on the 23rd, but my patience was rewarded. So, so excited. I too am thinking of building a Doctor-themed challenge. Perhaps something tied to the number 50….
