  1. I was crawling forwards yesterday, but I can do some backwards ones too if you want. I think that posting daily total is a good plan.
  2. From my experience it's always best to find a girly friend to wield the make up brush, wielding it one's self can only lead to disaster. Yeah, I always curl up to sleep. Speaking of which I think 1.30 is late/early enough, so I'm toddling off to bed. Night.
  3. Ah, the avatar, the only photo of myself I actually like. And it's one where I'm under a duvet and asleep, I had no idea it got taken 'till I saw it on facebook. Yeah, that says a lot about me. Glad to put a face to the words. Hi *waves*. No need for you to hide, you're very pretty.
  4. Decent Indian takeaway is just about the best thing about Britain and the only thing I think I'd miss if I moved to the continent. The takeaway round the corner from me do the best saag bhaji in the world, I cannot work out how they get spinach tasting so damn good.
  5. Woot! Well done! Good luck with the job opportunity, I know how dispiriting job hunting can be, just keep your chin up. I'm glad you're not beating yourself up about your eating last night, it doesn't do any good. Everyone falls down occasionally, it's how well you pick yourself up and get back on the horse that tells you who you are. Sorry if that's a bit cheesy. If you're still with your lovely kitties give them a cuddle from me. I fully intend to become a crazy cat lady, cats are the best thing, I miss mine she's living with my mum while I'm at uni. Hope that you can get yours back with you soon.
  6. This is an incredibly quick and yummy way of cooking mushrooms. I think that it's paleo, if it's not do tell me. Mushroom Bhaji taken from Easy Indian in Minutes 4 tbsp oil (whichever oil you prefer, but make sure it's not one with a strong flavour) 250g button mushrooms 1.5 teaspoons tomato puree 2 teaspoons garam masala A few fresh coriander leaves Heat the oil in a frying pan, gently fry the mushrooms for about 4 minutes, or until soft. Add the tomato puree, garam masala and coriander leaves. Fry, stirring often, for another 1-2 minutes.
  7. A little explanation of bear crawls: I did 10 flights of stairs today. How about you?
  8. Progress Report - Day 6 5/2/11 Fitness: 1. N/A All resty today. 2. B Did 20! Unfortunately not good enough to count for my final target. Range of motion in the push up still needs to be increased a bit and the jump should be more like a jump and less like a pathetic hop. Good practice though. 3. N/A Did nothing towards this today. Diet: 1. B Brunch: Fries and cheese Dinner: Wheat-free pasta and tomato-y sauce with cheese. Pretty much exactly the same as yesterday, still unhealthy, but still bread-less. Not only white bread-less but also brown bread-less! Life goal: 1. C Pinned and tacked 2 items for machining tomorrow. Mildly hungover today. Did some yoga in addition to the other stuff. Pretty good day.
  9. I vote for V, I'm slightly obsessed with that film. Glad your goals are going well tasty. My goals are going pretty good too, all moving in the right direction. My life goal keeps getting neglected, but I'm on track with my fitness and diet. I've increased speed, increased no of intervals and decreased rest periods on my interval training. The range of movement I'm getting in my push ups has increased way quicker than I was expecting it too, I thought it would take forever. Also, still bread free. Mostly importantly, I feel like I'm starting to trust my body a bit more. So all in all. YAY! Go five!
  10. I like your flossing goal, it's one of those things that you know is good for you, but is so easy to just skip, I guess doing it every morning is like a little reminder to look after yourself.
  11. Starting, Saturday works for me, especially seeing as today is Saturday, I'm going to toddle off and crawl up some stairs
  12. Progress Report - Day 5 4/2/11 Fitness: 1. A+ Killed it! 8x .30/1.30 6.5kph/9.7-.9kph Added another interval and put the speed up a bit on the sprints. Felt proper good afterwards too. Win! 2. F Was just about to start these when my housemate asked me if I wanted to go out. Shitty excuse, I know, but head banging and jumping around like a prat counts as a work out right? 3. N/A Did nothing towards this today. Diet: 1. B Brunch: Fries and cheese Snack: 3 pecan nuts Dinner: Wheat-free pasta and tomato-y sauce with cheese. Unhealthy but sans bread, more win! Life goal: 1. F FAIL! FIX IT! Neglected my burpees and my sewing, but proper pumped by how good I felt doing intervals. Tomorrow expecting stretching, sewing and burpees. Kisses, nighty night.
  13. High Five on kicking your food demon's arse!
  14. I sure will! Just did 10 quality 1am push-ups b/c I feeling a little restless. First quality nose-to-the-floor push-ups in forever! WOOT!
  15. Love your henna design, they're beautiful. I'm also a big fan of yoga, not so much the walking though. I tend to get bored walking and start running, especially up hills, hills are made for running up in book.
  16. Progress Report - Day 4 3/2/11 Fitness: 1. N/A I was on a rest day today. 2. N/A More resting. 3. N/A Did nothing towards this today. Diet: 1. B Breakfast: Pecan nuts and raisins Lunch: Jacket Potato with cheese and beans Dinner: Shrimp fried with garlic and bowl of parsnip and paprika soup Snack: Ben and Jerry's Phish Food, lots of. Dinner was yummy, I enjoyed it more than the ice cream, very strange. Life goal: 1. F Did nothing for this one today. Note to self: SORT IT OUT! As you can see didn't get much done today, but I did do some Yoga, plenty of downward facing dog and reclining hero to stretch out my legs. I feel a hell of a lot better than yesterday. Ready to kill it tomorrow!
  17. Slowly is fine as long as long as your moving in the right direction. Says the girl who puts pressure on herself to get things done yesterday, should really try taking my own advice. We should totally have a name. Any ideas? I'm shit at coming up with team names. tasty, love your picture. TRUE STORY.
  18. I always take a cuddle, thank you werwolf, I needed one. Feeling much today and have worked out why I felt so ill yesterday. Thanks tasty. GO FIVE! Will be bringing you the full progress report later, the day is still young lots of time to get more stuff done.
  19. I've heard good things about rosehip oil, but short of surgery there is, unfortunately, nothing that's going to make a dramatic difference.
  20. Also check to see if your feet are in good shape, if your arches are collapsed it can knock your whole leg out of alignment putting excessive pressure on the joints in your legs.
  21. Although there is a little skeptical voice in the back of my head saying "going paleo? Are you insane? You're going to get massively fat eating all the meat and fat." But I will try it and see if it works, it can't make things much worse than the current horrible situation.
  22. Well exactly! Count me in for any diet which says frying things is okay! Shrimp fired with garlic for dinner tonight, heaven.
  23. I'm totally up for some bear crawls. I've never done them before, you're going to pwn me, but they look fun! How about most flights of stairs in 10 days? I want to keep it a nice short challenge challenge because of got lots of running and burpees going on this month already. Do we need to define how many steps is a flight? Lets see how long it takes for my housemates to decide that I've totally lost my mind.
  24. Thanks Valthir, I've added your link to the list. How's the parkour going? I've always fancied learning it, but don't really know where to start.
  25. Progress Report - Day 3 2/2/11 Fitness: 1. D My legs started giving up on me while I was cycling up the hill too the gym, which wasn't a good start. So it wasn't exactly surprising that the running didn't go very well. I was meant to be doing continuous jogging today, managed about three minutes, then failed completely. Spent the rest of my treadmill time walking, with a couple of short bits of jogging. My legs were all shaky and horrible. I think that complete lack of sleep over past 3 days and skipping breakfast were main reasons for this. 2. D Decided to give my shaky legs a rest and just practice the push up part. Did 12. Strangely the press ups are the bit which I find the hardest when I'm doing them, but I feel them less the next day. 3. N/A Have done nothing towards this today, but doesn't require attention every day and hadn't planned anything, so okay. Diet: 1. B- Breakfast: skipped Snack: Pecan nuts, brazil nuts and raisins. Lunch: Tuna and edamame bean salad Snack: pack of crisps and a creme egg Dinner: Fries and cheese Not exactly healthy, but no bread! Life goal: 1. F Did nothing for this one today. Had a bit of a horrible day tbh. I'm going to take a rest day tomorrow, stretch plenty, get some protein in me and see how I feel on Friday.
