I've found that the more one fantasizes about a future foodstuff, the less you actually feel like having it when you get there. Something about knowing it can't be as good as you built it up to be or something. I was having damn-near sexual thoughts about raspberry cheesecake before my birthday but I chose to have a cupcake instead. (It was a mighty good cupcake as well.)
