  1. A more detailed log Press 90x5 100x5 115x1.5 sh!t 110x5 95x8 Chin Ups 8,7,7,7 CGBP 115x8 125x8 135x8 115x12 DB Row 4x55x10 Well, my formulas had me go for 112.5x5 today but I was at work and didn't have my 1.25 mini plates (or actually they were in my office and I was too lazy to get them). I had a choice to either go a little heavier or a little lighter, and since the ramping sets felt pretty good I went to 115, but I think the bar got too far in front of me and I failed on the second rep. So took a break, went down to 110 and did my 5. This exercise is just screwing with my head at this point.
  2. Thanks for stopping by! Squats today, rep PR on the top set at 260x5. Took it easy on the volume as my whole body is feeling fatigued lately. TRX core stuff and lightish good mornings to finish.
  3. You've got a monster bench there! Never seen anyone whose bench is about the same as their deadlift. Traveling and training sucks. Do you have any set plan on the road or just do whatever the equipment allows?
  4. Bench day, 170x5 on the top set. Last one was a grinder. Also DB Rows, Incline Press, DB CSR's. I've started "The Name of the Wind" by Patrick Rothfuss. It's starting slow but I've heard good things about it. Also, "Wool" by Hugh Howey, and "14" by Peter Clines and are on their way. Picked them just perusing Amazon.
  5. Deadlifts today, 260x8 for the top set, then TRX Jackknife, Front Squats, TRX Spider-Man, and KB swings. Love weekends when I can take my time between sets!
  6. Yup, never know what you can do until you go for it.
  7. Try chaulk as well as mixed grip. Heavy DB rows for high reps. And patience. Subscribing to follow. Pretty ambitious goals for 6 weeks!
  8. Press day, 105x8 on the top set for a rep PR. Then Chins, CG Bench, and DB Rows for accessory. Everything but chins felt pretty good. It's getting hot here in Maine. Finally feels like summer is coming. Might need to break out the bike this weekend.
  9. Thanks for stopping by! I started working on my fitness at the beginning of 2011, doing P90X, Insanity and then Turbulence Training. I lost a fair amount of body fat but skinny and weak - down from 170's to about 142. In 2012 I started focusing on strength doing Starting Strength and then transitioning to 531, regaining weight in the process. I've kept my focus on the big 4 lifts the whole time, but playing around with accessory stuff and rep ranges. My current bests on lower body are 295x3 on deadlifts and 270x3 on squats. Thanks again and good luck to you too!
  10. I'm new to this site but decided to jump right in. My training has focused on strength (a modified 531 schedule) so here I am! My upper body lifts have progressed slowly so my goals for the next 6 weeks are: 1. Beat Overhead Press PR of 125x3 This list has been stalled for some time but after a reset I'm making a run for a new best. 2. Beat Bench PR of 180x3 Only a little less frustrating, but hitting 185 would be golden 3. Gain 3lbs lean weight Working on body recomp. Currently weight is 163 at 15.8% BF by my home scale. I figure 0.5lb per week. 4. Read 2 books Life gets in the way and I have gotten away from any leisure reading for a while. I want to change that. So there it is. Fingers crossed!
