  1. How can fashionably late and better late than never be in the same sentence? Fashionably late is exactly right when you meant to arrive, listen to the princess. She's knows best! Either way, more Slytherin's? Always a yes
  2. Japan is going to be so awesome! I'm going next spring, when are you planning on going? I'm very impressed with your results so far, it's motivating to me. Especially since you travel so much! What is it that you? Curious as a cat! What sort of hobby were you looking to get into?
  3. I'm working on getting my endurance up as I cut the wheat from my life. I've recently found out I have an intolerance to it and when I have wheat my knee get severely inflamed and it hurts to walk on it. I do fine until it comes time for take out, I need more research into that. I will check out the Zombie Run though, it sounds interesting to say the least. Things have gotten off to a rough start, I'm drinking the correct amount of water but that's about all of the goals I've managed to complete since I've slept most of the last two and a half days. I haven't realized exactly how drained the last three months have left me until I had a few days of down time. But that is what this six weeks is about, to get me into regular healthy habits and it it takes me a week longer to make it a full habit. It takes a little longer, I want these to be life time challenges and not just for the six weeks.
  4. I don't know if you have days where you are on a mad dash but I've made egg muffins in the past and froze them. Grab them as I need them. Egg muffins are identical to fritta's but they are cooked in muffin pans. I put mine in muffin wrappers to make clean up easier, just make sure to spray the wrapper!
  5. Looks like you have a good break down of your goals going on, how are you planning on adding more veggies? Snacks or as part of your meals?
  6. Hey there, I hope all is going well in the goals! What kind of work outs were you looking at starting with? Or just walking for now?
  7. I almost wish there was a like button... Almost. Slytherins don't ask permission <-- epic-ly true. Welcome!
  8. http://darkfriends.fr/nf/index_prod.php So while poking around the forums I've come across this little jem and since I've never actually done the stats role playing, I figured might as well have some place to start. So I am: A level 1, stone giant adventurer Strength (physical strength) Dexterity (agility and speed) Stamina (endurance and engery) Constitution (resistance to damage adn disease) Wisdom (Intuition and sense of things) Charisma (force of personality) STR 3|DEX 2|STA 1|CON 3|WIS 4|CHA 2 (starting) Mini challenge 1: .5 CHA and .5 WIS
  9. I completely agree with the raw deal for Slytherin's, we aren't a bad bunch once you see things our way.
  10. Alright, updated my first post to have much better goals for this six week period! I have also joined in on the Mini Challenge 1 and am part of the House of Slytherin. This is like finding a hidden room, so many different things to explore as I look around. Slytherin house values ambition, cunning, leadership, and resourcefulness <-- How can that not be awesome The walking hasn't gone well to day but then I got called into work a couple of hours early and I've been reading through the forums. But since I suspect today is going to be a 36 hour day, when I'm done at work I'm heading out to purchase that pedometer so I can start tracking my distances walked. I just finished a smoothie with iodine, fruit, almond milk, Vitamin D and plant based protien powder so yay for one meal. I don't know if some of this is classed as paleo since they didn't really have vitamin D drops or squished kelp to make iodine but it's a start!
  11. Starting a accountablity group is a great start to the join in on some activities here and all I can say is ouch for the inflamed cartilage!
  12. Hello out there, I know I'm a day late for the rest of the world but this is my Monday night so I'm still counting it. Night shift has to be good for something. I work at a midstream oil and gas plant, which means I work 12 hour shifts alternating back and forth between days and nights. I would like to say these are going to be the most challenging days but I do much better at drinking said water on work days but study less. The walking is hit and miss but I would like to figure out how much I currently walk and how much more I need to hit the 10,000 steps. Goals 1- Study and prep for my final exam in Power Engineering 4th Class -I have to wait for a response but I have this booked to write July 16th, the last day of the challenge. Still waiting, seems I missed a page so now waiting on my cheif to fill it out in the am and send it to me so I can request my exam. This is going well already! A- Studied at least one chapter every day and passed my exam. B- Studied five chapters or more over the course of a week. C- Studied six chapters or more over the course of two weeks. Every exam I’ve written in the past six years has been a passing rate of 70% or higher so I don’t have the option of lower than a C. I don’t hit this point. I failed. 2- Walk 10,000 steps every day -Buy a pedometer and use it, let's get my walking up and the move on to the 5k challenge! A- Walked 10,000 steps every day. B- Walked 8,000 steps every day. C- Walked 7,000 steps every day. 3- Drink at least 3- 32oz bottles of water a day and eat two meals completely paleo -I don't drink nearly enough water A- 3 bottles of water drank, two meals paleo. B- 3 bottles of water and one meal paleo or two bottles of water and two meals paleo. C- 2 bottles of water and one paleo meal. 4- Post to this thread on a regular basis. -I have a hard time following through with these challenges since I tend to have a rather insane schedule at the best of times so this is going to be a very important fitness goal for me. Mental fitness and following through! That and I never know what to write, I mean really who wants to read about my life. Which is humorous because I’m part of a online journal and quite enjoy reading up on what else everyone is doing… A- Post to NF at least four times a week and twice to LJ B- Post to NF at least three times a week and once to LJ C- Post to NF at least two times a week
