  1. Round 2 of Insanity starts today!
  2. So my first round of Insanity ended yesterday and I am so happy with my results, taking a 1 week recovery of just light exercises and stretches and starting it all over again! Starting weight 84Kg Ending weight 73Kg
  3. Going to update this now, diet is going strong thanks to insanity diet plans.
  4. As some of you know I have been doing the Insanity challenge, I am currently on week 7 and my progress has been absolutely amazing, at the beginning of the challenge I weighed 82 Kg [12.9 St] and 7 weeks on as of this morning I weigh 73.8 Kg [11.6 St]. I can't express how great I feel at this moment in my life and I am in the best shape I have ever been in, since well, forever, my main target now is basically just tone up and get rid of the little remaining belly fat, so my main targets will be focusing on core body work, continue on the diet and increase cardio. Insanity continued :- STR + 4 I CHA + 2 I STA +2 I am about to start week 7 of the insanity which leaves me with 2 weeks to go, I feel absolutely amazing for doing it, that said I will be re-doing the insanity programme from scratch to build muscle and just generally carry on the healthy life style I have adopted. I will be focusing on core work a lot more this time round as, well basically, I now have muscles that can be felt through my stomach, which is a first for me! Food, glorious food! :- CON + 2 I WIS + 2 As with all workouts aimed to loose weigh it is 80% diet 20% exercise, on Insanity it fortunately comes with a tailored diet plans for my height, age and current weight. This is broken down into 5 meals through the day each being 4-500 calories and made up of the correct food stuffs to make the workouts in the evenings worth while. I have always struggle with dieting and I am a huge foody but in the 6 weeks of insanity I have only fallen of the wagon twice but each time was for a special occasion so I wasn't hung up over it, I have also been sober now for 8 weeks and will be continuing this until Christmas where I will have a few social drinks with the family. The best shape of my life :- DEX + 2 I CHA + 1 Doing Insanity I have lost a total of 8Kg (1.3St) with my current weight being 74Kg (11.6St) and I feel great! The aim is to improve on this even more, talking to a fitness instructor I am friends with he said "You have gone from a poor body shape to average, think in 6 months or a years time when you are in a great body shape and you can look back and know how hard you trained to get where you are now" which put me in a super good mood.   7. Cheers Kishi, I feel a lot better halfway through the recovery week, muscles feel looser and more flexible. Once this week is over it is onto the last 4 weeks of the Insanity and into the "MAX" workouts
  8. So first month of Insanity is over and I feel great! I am now weighing in at 76.6 Kg so super happy with that, recovery week started yesterday and was super good! 1 week of slight rest this week then it's time to hit it hard and go for the end! LETS DO THIS!!

  10. Phew! Second fit test done! super happy with the results! well just look for yourself! (Note: Switch kicks should be 42 as its 2 kicks per 1 rep)
  11. Well that's week 2 over and done with and much say has been so awesome but super freaking hard! Been pushing myself extra this week and eating super duper healthy. As of this morning I weigh exactly 77 Kg (12.1 St) that brings total weight loss in 2 weeks to 4 Kg (0.6 St) [WOW!!!] Second fit test of the programme today so will update that later tonight. I saw my aunt yesterday who I have not seen in almost a year and last time I saw her I weighed about 101.6 Kg (16 St) she didn't even recognise me at first glance lol, also I have grown my hair long as well. Sorta went. Me: Hi Debbie! Her: *looks at me confused* Hi...wh- omg! AJ? AJ!? wow you look so different! Haha can't get a better confidence boost then that really! Roll on the next week! BOOM!!
  12. Cheers guys! Wooooo!! First week of Insanity is over and you know what, I feel freaking great! I already feel more flexible, cardio is much better and I have already dropped from 81Kg to 78Kg since monday. I am so pumped for the next week and I have so much energy! YYEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!
  13. Well... Second day completed last night and I must say I was sweating from places I didn't even knew existed! Think it may of been the hardest 45 minutes I have ever done in any workout, but that said, I felt great afterwards. Waking up this morning and my quads are quite achy so going to buy some deep heat (or other product) to help me through this. Overall super happy with myself for just finishing the first workout. May I request the highest of fives!
  14. Tell me about it! mental, and today my cold is pretty much gone! This extra eating is a bit weird. eating 2500 calories now (5 x 500 meals throughout the day) plus a protein shake after workout. Going to follow this until the end of the week and then adjust as I feel is needed, like you say, listen to my body, it knows best. roll on tonight's exercise!
  15. Cheers guys! Well!! First day of Insanity completed last night and I must say just the fitness test had me on the floor on my back gasping for water but I did it and feel amazing for it, only a small ache in the back of my quads, damn squats, attached pictures show my results of the fit test, craziest 23 minutes I have ever done in my life!!
  16. Dang! haven't updated this in a week! Rest assured fellow nerds I have not given up I have just been super busy this week with my fitness and preparing for Insanity! Beat my run time twice in a row Friday got 12.34 Saturday got 12.22 So was super happy about that! Also been getting all my meal plans sorted for insanity, spun my room around so I have more room to workout and I also attended the Eurogamer Expo in London Earls court yesterday which was freaking amazing! Overall super good week and can't wait to hit the Insanity tonight (apart from developing a cold during the night I am ready to go) Wish me luck people!

  18. Day 8 - Monday Went for a later run today as I met up with a mate who I haven't seen in a while. My right back thigh has been hurting since Saturday deep in the muscle after stacking it down a curb and jarring it again so been stretching it out each day, That in mind I still went out for the run and still clocked in at 13.28 which I was happy with considering my leg was hurting. Cold shower and some hot then cold compress seemed to help after but still hurt this morning so will just be moving and stretching as much as I can at work! Over all good start to the week! LETS DO THIS!
  19. Day 4 - Thursday Day 4 went good, again I are healthy, didn't cook this time so just stuck to a weight watcher meal. Took my little brother out for a run, his a skateboarder so his pretty fit as it is but I took it slow for him anyway and made a 15 minute 1.5 mile, he was pretty shattered after but he recovered well so he was pretty happy with that, hopefully he will join me some more, always more fun running with someone else. 34 Sit ups 28 Push ups 50 arm curls (5kg each arm) 25 Leg raises Day 5 - Friday Brother didn't come out tonight as he decided to go out and get drunk (can't blame him) so decided to aim for the 13 minute mark again, managed to get 13.12 minutes. Ate healthy as always, cooked some chicken and rice, nothing fancy. I also ordered the INSANITY programme today and it should arrive Tuesday then just have 1 more week to prepare for it! (eeep!!) 32 sit ups 27 push ups 50 arm curls (5kg each arm) 26 leg raises Day 6 - Saturday Took a mini rest day today, had a nice long lay in (11:00! O.O) then played GTA V most of the day, ate a nice salad and just chilled all day. Done 40 sit ups,push ups, leg raises & arm curls around 15:00 and then chilled some more. Ended up going to help a friend in some emotional needs so was up a bit later then I wanted to be but that's what friends are for Day 7 - Sunday This was my actual rest day. Woke up around 10:00 and ended up going to Top Golf (A driving range) for about 3 hours so works my upper body I guess (Excuses I know) Bought myself a new TV not GTA V looks amazing in Full HD Overall this whole week has been amazing and will be continuing the good progress this week.

Day 3 Went well again today, ate healthy and tried out the slow cooker and made some tasty lemon chicken (not really cooking but I'm trying dammit! ) Run time a bit higher this time at 13:27 but had to walk for 1 minute as my left leg cramped up real bad coming down a curb and was in a bit of pain after, cold shower sorted me right out though. 32 Sit ups 31 Push ups 50 Arm curls (5kg weights) And most importantly got some prime gaming time in on GTA V! Tonight I am going to check out a play area near my house to see if they have a decent frame I can do some pull ups on.

Ohhh do we? got names or I will just go trawl through it later I have downloaded an app called "How to cook everything" so hopefully that will help, it's times like this I miss my ex-girlfriend as she could cook some killer meals (also why I got so fat) so maybe not that much! Ah well, as with everything, practice practice practice, then practice some more.

DAY 2 I took a rest day today for no other excuse then to play GTA V but will be getting back into things tonight, just wanted a relaxed evening, thought I deserved that! But ate healthy again and have been setting up my new eating plan for upcoming INSANITY challenge. So far I have worked out I need 2500 calories a day during the challenge which will also mean I have to learn to cook proper meals (may zombie baby Jesus save our souls or stomachs)

Anyway day 1. 1.5mile just completed and clocked in at 12.47.2 so am super happy to be under 13 minutes, my weekly goal is now to keep that under 13 minutes. 1 minute of sit ups completed, 30 sit ups done 1 minute push ups 28 press ups done Downside I did feel pretty dead after the run, hell I almost puked! First day overall pretty freaking good, ate healthy again, run time good, and well GTA V is out at midnight!!
