  1. Not a bad start, it's a pity you used one of the starbucks days already, but that's what mondays are I suppose. I recall you had been reading the Song of Ice and Fire series, how far did you get through that series?
  2. Part of that could just be because of the fact that most fruit has a fair amount of sugar in it naturally that it's triggering the sugar cravings, since sugar tends to be an addictive substance, once you get some in your body it can easily crave more.
  3. You could always try using a smaller plate, or perhaps a blue colored plate. Both of those usually help our mind think we're more full and can help prevent over eating.
  4. We totally got this, of course you're the one that's above average...I'm just a rogue amongst rebels... wait does that make me not a rebel?
  5. Having not done Yoga myself I could be talking out of my ass, but is it possible to do some lighter yoga to ease yourself back in and prevent any of the pain?
  6. I'd argue that sweaty is sexy, everyone can look good sweaty. I used to cold brew some tea myself, I usually only set it for 8 hours in the fridge and it comes out pretty good! I think the issue is that you're specifically cutting things out and your mind knows that and wants to rebel. It's possible that the craving isn't for the non-water things persay, but just what your mind is associating with specific other cravings...sugar, caffeine, or whatever.
  7. I think you found your goal for the end of this Challenge with this helpful gif KL. 80D
  8. Thanks SilentJay! Hopefully you can find a good alternate cardio. Walking/Jogging/Running is certainly the easiest, you can do it pretty much anywhere, but sometimes it's just not the exercise that you want to do.
  9. Howdy Rachy! Doing Great, definitely excited for the next 6 weeks. Hoping for some epic progress this time 'round! Yup, got a new food scale, same brand, different model. Works well. Re-did the lunches for the rest of the week so I should be in better shape calorie wise than I was on Day 1 (I was still within the 1500-1600...as far as I'm aware). Yup, looks like we've got a lot of folk aiming to lose 20lbs by 09/20 (granted I'm hoping for 28 lbs.... but I'll take 20 if it happens 80P). I think you mentioned mint during my first budget one. I kinda dig my spreadsheet, I like how super manual I am about checking everything out and how I can easily set everything up exactly how I want, layout the data how I want, and decide which data I want to track. I know there's plenty to be said about stuff that helps automate things for you, but for myself I like/want the manual aspect for now until I get everything on track.
  10. Uhh....I can't even do a handstand...and I'm at less than 10 push-ups, those numbers of yours aren't that bad. 80D
  11. The accountibilibuddy groups are just there to help people find support groups. Each one is run a bit differently, some are just effectively a place to find others on similar journeys others give you challenges and tasks, some give more social aspects like hangouts and gatherings, others might even be more geographically based. It's all about create more ways to help get you motivated, find support, tips, stories, motivation, and accountability. You can update your challenge thread as much as you want, a lot of people won't follow both your battle log and your challenge, so you could alway copy the same post between each, or update your challenge thread weekly with various things, just don't ignore it during the week. I've tried to do daily updates on mine, and for me it can get too overwhelming so I usually stick to just weekly updates, but I'm always checking out the thread and of course posting when I feel there's information that should be posted in the thread.
  12. There have been studies done that indicate that people that haven't had a good nights sleep tend to eat more and make less healthy choices overall, it also causes you to have less willpower available for the day, and similar things. It's good that you've noticed the issue. If you have the chance you should probably sneak a nap in during the day, that should help sort it out for you. Sounds like you had a pretty good day!
  13. Sugar is an insanely tough one to get past, I mostly bypassed it myself by slowly cutting out a lot of the stuff I ate that just happened to have sugar instead of focusing on sugar on the whole, and to be honest considering the way sugar works it might work better to try cutting out individual things, like candy or a type of candy. It's a tough one to deal with overall. @SugarRay: Convince your parents to get Larabars. They seem to be pretty popular, the ingredients in them are actually pretty good, no grains or sugar added. Nice thing, if you like them at least. Welcome to all the new folk coming in, I'll be updating the first post with your threads momentarily!
  14. Sucks about the net, hopefully it gets resolved quickly, they don't have a tech or anything that could just come out with this stuff and test it? I know what you mean with the homework, the prewife likes to keep things until their due date to complete them. Sometimes she's got tons of stuff that has it make sense since she's jampacked the other days, and sometimes it doesn't make as much sense.
  15. Ooof, Allergies are a tough thing to deal with. Hopefully the almond issue was a one off, have you tried having almonds since your reaction?
  16. Got a new food scale and yeah, not only was the old one off....it wasn't even consistently off, so I'm sure my calories today will likewise be off since I guesstimated based on the most common number off (well it was 40 grams off per item on two of my lunches, one lunch was roughly 30 grams off per item, and another had at least one item that was upwards of 100 grams off!!!) So yeah....fun times there. I'm sure I broke it by either stupidity or during the move, it's a fairly decent brand and the one I had is one of the top food scales on Amazon. So I had no qualms buying the same brand, even if it is a different model.
  17. Welcome sterre, glad to have you! How goes things "down under" Storms?
  18. I've heard rumor tell that chewing more slowly and thoroughly actually causes you to eat less calories from particular items, I'm not certain of the truth of it, but it's certainly interesting (I wonder how that skews calorie counting stuff as well...maybe they need "Chewing speed" options).
  19. Yeah, I need to stop somewhere on my way home to see if I can get a new food scale, maybe WalMart or Bed Bath and Beyond.
  20. See after I see it talked about I remember that I actually looked into doing it a while ago, completely forgot about it.
