  1. *insert cheerleader gif here* woot woot on knocking it out of the park this week!!! I love looking at your crazy bad - ass schedule of work outs Also, I really love reading all your orange rhino tips - I always find it fascinating to know where your emotions stem from - like you said, it is usually a build up of little things which cause us to esplode! I will look for these triggers in myself ( i am super impatient - i don't yell but I get exasperated and feel frustrated and angry inside) Thanks for sharing and keep kick butt
  2. Hey, checking in. We still have a lot of time before the challenge ends and with your postive outlook of failure is NOT an option is perfect start! I am impressed and proud of the run you did make. Review the negatives, embraces the successes and keep going. Everyone here has your back!!
  3. So happy I can proudly post this week! Thanks to a change in my thinking - I HAVE to run and then planning everything else around it, even when it is inconvenient, I have completed my first week of my new C25K app (5K Runner on the iphone)! I have rescheduled hangouts, pushed back meeting up for a movie night and squeezed in a run between committements. I hit my water goals during the work week, got up on time 4/5 work days and hit Zumba last week. However, I know that if I was also eating better, I would also feel 1000% better. Zumba: hit it last monday and ready to go for tomorrow. Running: hit all three trainings for the week for the C25K program Water: During the work week, I hit my goal amount every day. I didnt bring my water bottle home, so didnt so well at home. But I have a whole bottle and a third to go for tomorrow!! Waking up: still a challenge, but I will approach this as I did my running - find a way to work it in I really hate running LOL but I am happy that I am sweating and I really like that I get to explore my neighborhood more. If I didn't have Songza though, I am not sure how I would make it. WOOT WOOT on your success though. I know you can kick week three's butt!!
  4. whew - it's been a while since i have posted. i have been spot on with Zumba and water goals. i did not run at all last week and although i went to bed on time for the most part - i have not been waking up on time. i did talk to someone about failing my goals and it felt good to get it out in the open. so i started over on my C25K (1. to start off gently 2. to get back in the groove and 3. i got a new phone today and since i switched from the EVO 4G/Android phone to the iPhone 5 - i couldn't pick back up where i left off and had to download a new C25K app.) also: adjusted my wake up time by 10 minutes every day. i don't have to get out of bed but I aim to be back on track with waking up by Thursday. also definitely noticed when i eat horrible, my run is SO much harder. ugh. so to sum up: a mix of good and bad. i realized i don' t plan ahead for C25K or changing my sleep schedule, so I have been putting more of an effort to be aware of what days i can run (when it isnt raining in NYC) and planning for my run when i have to cancel due to the weather.
  5. Sorry to hear about your work issue - sucks when you are trying so hard and someone else let's their ego dominate the matter at hand and then nothing gets resolved I hope you get to your rebuttal in your head while exercising - it always helps put things into perspective, right? Also, I know you are super hard on yourself, because when I read how you "go nuts" I see you being very much in control and making really good decisions. I also feel like you work it off on your workouts and walking on the tours. Anyway, I hope you do something fun and relaxing for yourself as a reward to relieve work stress. Feel better *e-hug* and keep being your bad ass self hun!
  6. I was worried about my water intake too, for similar reasons but has drinking more water had any positive effects? Also, maybe slowly increase your water intake, that may help! I am happy and proud you were able to share your writing with your boss - the mix of criticism is encouraging because they were being honest - right? keep it up - we are all rooting for you!
  7. I love your grading system - really helps keep track. Keep on trucking!!
  8. Congrats on today! You are rocking out both mini challenges
  9. This was not meant for me at all, but I am totally using some of these ideas - brilliant!
  10. I am loving your posts! First World problems happen to us all (well most of us anyway!) it's ok to feel that way sometimes. I just finished "The Perks of Being a Wallflower" and it talked about how minimizing your own problems because others may have bigger problems is understandable, but we should realize everyone is fighting their own battles you know? Anyway, I love that so many people are making their move a kind of a catalyst for personal change - it is super inspiring!
  11. great work on keeping up your streak! I love how you fit exercise in with your life so it becomes natural.
  12. thanks guys! i will try these out i really have no sense of caloric intake or anything more specific like protein!
  13. As always I love reading your updates I am especially excited for the changes in your blog. I wish I could give helpful feedback on pricing structure - but you are a web research genius, so I think you have it on lock hee hee. Now if NYC skies can hold off on the rain for a few days straight, I can get some outside C25K in today. Also, gotta address my stats issue!
  14. How do people count their protein intake? I have no idea how to tackle this mini challenge!
