Today I finished my 30 minutes of squatting. Exercise was some practice at rolling from the current mini challenge at level 2 and then various ab/core exercises. Stretched after that. Worked on the campaign for about 2 hours, mainly trying to figure out whether or not I would kill the entire party for the stupid choices they've made or if I should save them from themselves.   7. Thank you Waldgeist. Finished my 30 minutes of squatting pretty early today. Had paleo for lunch. Worked out by moving around a bunch and doing some pull ups. Stretched after that. Worked on the campaign a total of about 2 hours today. Dinner was paleo too. Played disc golf with my brother today and stretched after I got back. Also climbed a tree while I was golfing.   9. Started off today with my 30 minutes of squatting. Went swimming today and got a heck of a workout from that, swam a lot today and for quite a while. Stretched right after I got back. Dinner was paleo. Still having shoulder troubles so I may alter my challenge in some way though haven't totally decided yet. Way too much of it puts a lot of strain on my shoulders, especially when I also do climbing and Muay Thai which both put a lot of strain on them. I worked on my campaign for about 35 minutes today and I think I'm ready to do the 3rd session now.   10. First thing I got done today was 1:45 of work on my campaign. Next I got my 30 minutes of squatting done. For today's exercise I did some fence walking, broad jumps, PK rolls and various playing around on the playground. Stretched good after that. Dinner today was paleo. Worked on the campaign for another 20 minutes. Seems I'm closer to having my third session ready than I thought.   11. This is an awesome addition to the challenge but I don't really agree with chin ups being level 3, I've always thought chin ups were easier than pull ups. Don't know if that's just me.

  13. Taking going easy on the shoulder to a new level because they got real bad the other day. Yesterday I got my squatting half done and that's really all I did that was productive. My dinner also sucked. Today I went swimming, not doing many dailies though so that I can really give my shoulders a chance to properly recover. I did some stretching, mainly for the shoulders, much later after swimming than I should have. Finished up my 30 minutes of squatting too.   14. Still going super easy on the diamond pushups 'cause my shoulder hurt like heck, did 12 today. Managed 3 partial handstand pushups again today. Next up was handstand practice, trying a new approach the last few days that I saw in a tutorial that will supposedly help me get better at balancing. After that I worked on my bridge wall walks. Next up was 10 pullups and 10 chinups. Tried to do exercises to work towards a front lever but they turned out to be way too hard on my shoulders. Next was 10 tuck jumps with silent landing. Turns out those are hurting my shoulders too, which is somewhat concerning. I'm gonna consult my mom since she's a nurse. Got my stretching done next. Had paleo for dinner. Finished my 30 minutes of squatting pretty late.   15. Yesterday I was pretty lazy about the challenge, I had a paleo dinner, that's it. Today I started with exercising in the field; fence walking, box jumps, broad jumps, PK rolls. Shoulders said no to diamond pushups today so I did only 12. Did 4 partial handstand pushups followed by regular handstand practice. Next was bridge wall walks. Didn't quite finish my squatting and didn't stretch because I started feeling a bit nauseous so I hit the hay.   17. Gotta do some more moving. I didn't perform at the level I wanted to during the last challenge because my desire to be more awesome lost to the temptations of video games. Not my proudest time. I think I've got most of it out of my system though, as long I don't do something stupid like buying a new game. This challenge's goals will be very similar to the last one just minus the sucking. And as always, the end game goal is Ninja Warrior Grand Champion. Goal 1: Last time I said I'd exercise at least 5 days a week, 7 if at all possible. During this time, I settled for "good enough" too many times, only doing 5/7 days even if there was no reason not to exercise the other 2 days aside from just being a lazy butt. This time the plan is to exercise 7 days a week unless I have a darn good reason not to. Exercising can be anything outside of my dailies like climbing, Muay Thai, parkour practice, random cartwheels and pullups; whatever. Goal 2: My progress towards my 1 minute bridge, stand to stand bridge and handstand pushup over the last challenge was negligible, I might have even regressed. For that reason, I'm kicking it up a notch or 6 this challenge. These targets are being incorporated into my dailies now. I'll work on my handstand pushups every time I work on handstands even if it's only doing a single set. I'll also do some form of bridge work every single day. Goal 3: Although I had "acceptable" adherence to my targets of paleo meals last challenge, the majority of the rest of my dinners were complete crap, worse than the average before so I'm changing things around a bit. Initial target will be eating 5 paleo meals per week, can be breakfast, lunch or dinner. Add +1 meal per week every time I hit my target. Goal 4: I haven't been working on my Pathfinder campaign nearly enough. Over the last 6 weeks, I don't think I completed enough content for a single session. This one is going back to my targets from 2 challenges ago, gotta work on the campaign every week. Minimum requirement is 5 hours per week but exceeding by an hour or 10 is okay too. Daily goals: Do diamond pushups every day, try to do 1 more than the day before every day. I'll change to another type once I do 60 in a day. My current best is 55 but some days I don't hit my target so I may not finish in just 5 days. Once I can do 60 I'll pick some other kind of pushups and see how many I can do, then work up to 60 if it's less than that. Other dailies are working on handstands and handstand pushups every day, work on doing a bridge in some way every day, do 30 minutes of squatting every day and stretch. I'm expecting this challenge to be a fun one too. I realise some of my goals seem like it'll be hard to meet targets and I'm okay with that. I'll do my best to reach them and it's no big deal if I don't. The only thing that's not okay is letting video games, anime or manga take priority over improving myself as long as there's nothing stopping me.
  18. First thing I got done today was my 30 minutes of squatting. Had a paleo breakfast and a paleo lunch (as well as 2 non paleo breakfasts and a non paleo lunch). I ate a lot today. That was because I hiked up the mountain again so I wanted a lot of fuel. Still feel completely exhausted now. Didn't have the energy for anything else. Dinner was paleo though. Yay leftovers.   19. Only did 12 diamond pushups today, shoulders hurt a lot right now. Maybe I'm just dumb. I'm gonna start a new habit of giving my arms and shoulders a decent stretch after every time I do pushups, see if that helps. Since I couldn't do diamond pushups, handstand pushups seemed the logical alternative, did sets of 5 5 3 3 4 3. Partial ones, of course, still can't do the full thing. Might've been able to if I wasn't so lazy with them over this last challenge. This was 3 more total than last time I did them =D Did my regular handstand practice after that. Had a quick arm stretch next. Muay Thai was completely exhausting today, kinda rocked my world. Full stretch after that. Awesome paleo dinner tonight. Finished my 30 minutes of squatting. No campaign work today thanks to poor time management then hanging out with my brother for the entire second half of the day. Made a paleo dinner. Today I did 55 diamond pushups in sets of 12 11 11 11 10 (kinda lost track when I was starting). Handstand practice right after that. Went swimming later. Stretched after swimming. Finished my 30 minutes of squatting. Did a little campaign work but it's not done yet.   22. Thanks Elastigirl, I appreciate that. Honestly, I tend to have really oppressive expectations for myself and sometimes get stressed out when I don't do everything I think I should be able to. While I want to take your advice and stop beating myself up, I really do need to deal with my laziness. It's not that I call it a fail when I'm too busy to exercise or too tired after to stretch, I'll forgive myself with a legit reason. I get upset with myself when I choose not to do my best and instead spend hours at a time playing video games or reading manga, accomplishing nothing. Aside from some of my dailies on a couple days, I can say with certainty that I could have completed this challenge with about 120% completion of my goals if my priorities had been straight, but I made a decision to not be the best me I could because I didn't feel like it. All that having been said, I will try to keep your advice in mind when I design my next challenge. Again, thanks.
  23. To recap week 6 it went much better than previous weeks especially once I got serious again. The exercising was great and aside from the first two days my dailies were awesome. Skipped on the bridges and handstand pushups though. Paleo meals were a fail too. Still haven't gotten my stuff done yet, but at least I actually worked on my campaign a bit. To recap the entire challenge, I did pretty bad. I do know what the problem was and how to remedy it so I should be okay going forward as long as my willpower wins out next time. For Monday I did some random exercising and moving, hit all four dailies (though still only 22 diamond pushups). Dinner was paleo. Today I started with 22 diamond pushups in 2 sets of 11 early in the morning. Got my handstand practice done a little before lunch. Went climbing after work, totally wrecked my hands and stretched after I got home. Finished my 30 minutes of squatting just before bed. Still haven't finished my things from before but at least my kitchen is relatively clean and more or less consistently staying that way these days.   25. In accordance with the prophecy I rocked the Muay Thai thing today. Pretty exhausted after but got my stretching done. Got my 30 minutes of squatting done too. Gave diamond pushups a shot but you can guess how that turned out; I did 11. Next up was handstand practice though a little short. The best part of today was when I made some paleo shepherd's pie. It was fantastic. I also did some work on my campaign today though it's not done yet.
