  1. I went climbing today in accordance with the prophecy so I got a good workout, did a bunch of bouldering too and beat a few routes I hadn't beat before so that's awesome. And the skin on my hands is totaled Did 49 pushups in sets of 13 12 12 12. Did my handstands after that and had some pretty good ones, couple around 5 seconds, couple around 4 seconds. Stretched after. Completed 30 minutes of squatting at like the last minute before bed. Actually I stayed up a little past bed time finishing them. I was pretty lazy for the first couple hours after climbing.
  2. Time to recap week 2. Bridges were hit 3/3. Running was 3/3. Workouts were 3/3, though I noticed I forgot to mention that I went climbing on Tuesday Apr 22 which was my first workout. Not sure how I missed that. For campaign work I completed 10/4 hours so kinda crushed that one. Hit all my dailies too, aside from a single day of stretching, which I've forgiven since the rest went pretty good. I'll give myself an A+ last week.
  3. Well, that's definitely the plan. Week 3 will be pretty awesome. Double checked to make sure and I can still do 2 finger pullups, like suddenly they aren't even that much harder than pullups with the whole hands. Not sure what happened there or when but I'm pretty happy about it. First thing I worked on was pushups like usual, 48 in sets of 16 16 15 1. Couldn't get that last one in the third set, not for lack of trying. From tomorrow onwards I'll be aiming for 4 mostly even sets. Next thing was a run but wasn't feeling very energetic so I made it a short interval training (1 minute slow run, 1 minute fast). Ran 2.04km in 10:04 for average pace of 4:55 min/km. Worked on my bridge pushups shortly after, did 8 6 6. 8 in a row is a new PR so that's pretty cool. After another "shortly after" I did my handstand practice. Had a few decent ones and improved my PR for crow pose to 22 seconds. Completed 30 minutes of squatting. Next up was my workout. Box pike press: 8 5 4 Squat jump tucks: 10 10 10 2-finger pullups/regular pullups: 4/6 3/6 3/5 Hollow body hold: 0:36 0: Although I can do the 2 finger pullups now, after 2 of them my fingers start to hurt a fair bit so I can't do a lot. That's why I did a mix of 2-finger and regular pullups appearing on either side of the "/". Seems I set a new record for box pike press today and my squat jump tucks are getting faster. Overall I feel amazing this week and I'm just going to keep getting better =D Did my stretching after all that.
  4. Today I decided to get some work done on my campaign so I did that for about 5 hours. Next was 47 pushups in sets of 16 16 15. Completed my 30 minutes of squatting early again. My handstand practice was a bit short and I didn't stretch today because I later spent another 3 hours working on my campaign.
  5. Thank you Stooshie, your encouragement is one of the things keeping me so on track this time. Your praising skills are formidable I really do appreciate it. In accordance with the prophecy, today started off with pushups like my days usually do. Did 46 today in sets of 16 15 15. Every single day I feel like I'm not sure if I'll still be able to finish in just 3 sets tomorrow, but then tomorrow becomes today and and I'm stronger than yesterday Finished my 30 minutes of squatting pretty early today. Played some tennis with my roommate this time and I actually won this time! We're both total amateurs but I think he's a little better than me. At least part of the reason I won is because I have way more stamina than him. Today's handstand practice was decent, actually had a few good ones. I've been practicing my crow pose a bit too and I don't know if my form is right at all but I held one for about 15 seconds today. Balancing that feels so much easier than a handstand. I assume they're easier for everyone but my height might make it even more so for me. I decided to practice balance by just standing on one leg while watching anime but it turned out not to be very good practice since I had to stop when my foot started hurting after 11:30 instead of when I lost balance so I definitely need something higher difficulty. Next on the agenda was going for a run. Ran too hard and didn't finish 5k but my pace was alright. Ran 3.06km in 15:12 for an average pace of 4:57 min/km. Stretched after that, including some higher difficulty balancing like eagle pose. My dinner today was pretty good. I didn't technically do any work on the campaign today but I did download Gimp and try to get a feel for it so tomorrow I will use that to make some more useful maps.
  6. Reading a manual of some sort (if you have one) might be good for falling asleep. I also can't usually read something without getting really into it but the one thing I can remember that legitimately made me tired when I read it was the driving manual before I took the first written test to get my license. If you can find something like that that's pure information and isn't a subject that excites you at all, it might help with falling asleep.
  7. In accordance with the prophecy I did 45 pushups today in 3 sets of 15, still haven't lost to the number 3 yet I've noticed a few important changes since I started my self imposed pushup challenge. Obviously pushups are getting easier now but I've also noticed my pushup form got better on its own and I feel stronger in general. The most important change I think, which I just noticed today, is that I don't dislike pushups anymore, I actually look forward to them now and that is pretty awesome. Today I went climbing pretty hard again and got a good workout. Beat a 5.10+ I've never tried before and made some progress on a 5.11+ I haven't tried in a while. After I finished climbing I decided to play around with pullups a bit. Thought I'd try to do a 2 finger pullup for the first time in a while; I've never been able to do one before. First I tried with giving myself a little bit of a boost. And I actually succeeded. That was surprising. So I decided to try one properly and start from hanging instead of starting from pushing off the ground. And I succeeded. Wait, what? WHOOOOOOOO! So apparently I can do a 2 finger pullup now. What I was using hangs loose like a ring so I can't guarantee it was a legit pullup, might've actually been a chin up but I'm still really excited about this. I finished my 30 minutes of squatting much earlier than usual today. I figured out why today is so awesome, I wore my NF t-shirt today. I knew they gave superpowers but never felt the effects as much before as I did today and I always forget while I'm actually doing the activities. Let's see if it makes my handstands better too. The answer is slightly. They were above average today. Playing Duel of the Fates also helped. No new records today but I made up for it with guts and practiced for 25 minutes. I did some bridge pushups today too, sets of 7 5 5. After that I did all my stretches. They normally include some one leg balancing and I'm adding a bit more this week for the mini challenge. Anyway, today was awesome. My dinner was decent too.
  8. In accordance with the prophecy, today I started with 44 pushups in sets of 15 15 14. Then I went for a run of 5km in 25:45 with an average pace of 5:08 min/km. Glad I got back down under 26:00 but still have some work to do. Practiced my handstands next. Stretched after that. I also completed 30 minutes of squatting. Dinner wasn't good.
  9. Wow, amazing achievements this time and it's only week 1. I'm gonna have to step up my game if I want to make the list during this challenge. Well done, all of you.
  10. Oh snap, I'll have to get on that. Thanks for letting me know Nuala. I certainly want to keep increasing my bounty And thanks for the encouragement. Today started off with 43 pushups in sets of 15 14 14. Heck yeah! Knew yesterday was just an off day. Got my handstands done a little after that. Next was bridge pushups 7 4 4. Stretched after that. Dinner today wasn't great. Completed 30 minutes of squatting.
  11. Way to go, that was a strong first week. I look forward to seeing your second week as well.
  12. Dinner was early today, greasy but fulfilled the targets. Worked on the campaign for 2 hours. 42 pushups in sets of 14 14 13 1. Still gonna try for 3 sets tomorrow again since I was really tired today. Handstands, stretching and 30 minutes of squatting complete.
  13. Thanks Sea Level, and thanks again Stooshie. Here's my week 1 recap: Bridge practice was very last minute but I technically got 3/3, this week will be more consistent. Running was 3/3 and also last minute. I also had some shorter runs, I'm gonna work on that. Worked out 3/3 times this week, mostly with some intense climbing. I'm working on beating my first 5.11+. For my campaign work I did 4.5/4 hours. Solid, but I'd like to see myself exceed the target a bit more this week. I'll give myself an A for this week. I'll give myself an A+ if I could do the same thing without cramming 4/9 workout elements for the week into the last day XD
  14. Today was bridge pushups first: 4 5 2 1. Handstands were next. Did my 41 pushups in sets of 14 14 13. Ran intervals today, a minute of slow jogging and a minute of fast running. Complete 2.47km in 12:09, average pace of 4:55 min/km. Completed 30 minutes of squatting today. Did my 3rd workout for the week too, finally. Started that off by confirming I still can't do a handstand pushup. Box pike press: 7 5 3 Squat jump tuck:10 10 10 Pullups: 9 6 5 Hollow body hold: 0:36 0:25 0:22 Stretching followed that. Dinner wasn't good enough today but it was super delicious and practically 50% meat. Since I promised to work on bridges 3 times a week I did it again later, more bridge pushups: 5 3 3.
  15. Yesterday I didn't exercise as much as I should have. I did do my 40 pushups in sets of 14 13 13. 30 minutes of squatting was completed. Ran 2.58km in 12:35, average pace of 4:53 min/km. Decent speed but couldn't keep it up all that long. I did work on my campaign for 3 hours though. Dinner was very good and met the requirements.
  16. Be strong, the assassins are here for you. Way to keep the ball rolling. I did try out crow again and it seems not as hard as I thought it was going to be once I watched a good tutorial. My form is poor and the balancing part will take quite a bit more work but I'm going to start doing it a bit more.
  17. Well done to all of my fellow assassins. I'm happy to stand amongst the most wanted once again and I intend to continue to give it everything I've got.
  18. Yesterday was decent, I went for a run first thing in the morning, like 6:30 AM and reminded myself how hard running that early is. 5.01km in 28:10, average pace of 5:37 min/km. I did 39 pushups in 3 sets of 13. Practiced my handstands later, stretched properly and completed 30 minutes of squatting. Dinner didn't have enough vegetables to fulfill the requirements.
  19. In accordance with the prophecy, today was handstands first. Next up was work on my bridges finally. Bridge pushups: 4 4 3. Huh. I skipped the 36 pushups day... interesting... I wonder if I would've done 36 in 2 sets. Oh well, I'm still moving on. This makes up for that one day I skipped a couple weeks ago. Today is 38 in sets of 13 13 12. After those three things, it seems like my wrists are looking for a new place to live. Had a good stretch after that. I also threw in some leg raises for the mini challenge. I think my pistol squat is decent, but I also think it could be better. My biggest problem is not having enough flexibility or mobility in my ankles. I also have trouble raising my other leg up high enough. I also did 30 minutes of squatting today. Lastly, I had decent stuff for dinner tonight.
  20. Hey there, decided to return the favor and follow your challenge too, and I like what I see. I'm a fan of yoga though I haven't tried any crazy poses like those, aside from crow pose but I've never practiced it consistently. I just use a lot of the basic stretches. Huge congratulations on the handstand, I was super stoked when I finally pulled that off too. Now I feel like trying out that crow pose again.
  21. Today started with some intense climbing, got a real workout out of it again today. Next was 37 pushups in sets of 19, 14, 4. I'll be aiming for 3 (mostly) even sets going forward. Stretched after that. Did my handstands. Completed 30 minutes of squatting today too.
  22. Thank you Stooshie, I will keep it up. If I've reached a point where I can inspire at least one other person then it must be working. I'm gonna give this challenge everything I've got. Today's first order of business was 35 pushups, did them in sets of 18 and 17. I worked on my campaign for an hour and a half today. Ate good stuff for dinner. Handstand for about 5 minutes. 30 minutes total squatting. Neglected stretching.
  23. Today started with pushups, 34 in 2 sets of 17. Did about 16km of biking today and went climbing really hard later. I was legitimately exhausted and completely wrecked my arms to the point that I'm actually counting this as a workout for today. Handstands came after that. Stretching later. Dinner wasn't good though. Completed 30 minutes of squatting.
  24. First thing today was actually playing Tennis with my friend/roommate. I did 33 pushups in sets of 17 and 16. Stretched good after that. Worked on my handstands almost 20 minutes. Did some crappy sets of bridge pushups today: 3 4 2. Also did 30 minutes of squatting.
  25. It occurred to me that the land of the prophecy is across a big puddle so I'll build a bridge to the other side. This challenge's new target is working on my bridge. I want to be awesome at them. My current stats: Bridge: I can get into one but can't hold it for more than a couple seconds. Running: Usually takes about 25:30 - 26:00 minutes for 5k. My best recent 5k was 5.02km in 25:17 at an average pace of 5:02 min/km. Handstands: Usually last about 1-3 seconds, best is 6 seconds. Handstand Pushups: I can do up to 6 box pike presses or I can do a handstand pushup if I only lower about 5 inches (based on feel, not measured.) This is almost halfway as my arms are pretty long so my head should be around a foot off the ground. Goal 1: Be able to hold a bridge for 1 minute. Bonus: Perform Stand to Stand Bridge. I'll make a point of working on my bridges in some way at least 3 times a week. Goal 2: Get my 5k time to 23:00 or less. I'll be running 3 times per week to meet this goal. Goal 3: Be able to do one handstand pushup. For this I will workout 3 times a week. Goal 4: Have my Pathfinder campaign ready for play by the end of the 6 weeks. I'll spend at least 4 hours every week working on this campaign. Bonus Dailies: Work on holding handstands for 5-20 minutes every day; target is 10 seconds. Do pushups every day adding 1 a day; tomorrow I'll be doing 34. Stretch every day. Still working on the 30/30 squat challenge so I have to do 30 total minutes of squatting every day; my goal here is to be able to hold a squat in a resting position with my feet on flat ground, right now I can't hold it without my heels elevated about 2 inches. Another old habit that needs to be maintained is eating a decent dinner (includes protein and at least 2 fruits and vegetables) at least 3 night a week.
