  1. I can make a mermaid dress happen... They're a TON of fun. One of the girls wore her mermaid dress for 6 straight days after getting it. Mermaid dress and cowboy boots, mermaid dress and wolf hat, mermaid dress and bat wing hoodie, mermaid dress and bunny poncho. Mermaid dress is the new LBD for the 10 and under crowd.
  2. Hi Friend! Welcome to NF, we're thrilled to have you. If you set up a challenge thread, come back and post it here so I can follow along and cheer you on!
  3. Congrats! Come back and let me know if/when you set up a challenge thread, I'll be happy to cheer you along.
  4. I love this so much! Congrats on your successes!
  5. Yes, on occasion. I make just about everything, I used to costume for professional theater productions and that means a little bit of work in all eras and sizes, most of which we made from scratch. Unless it was 80s, we had WAY TOO MANY 80s clothes in that theater. I also used to volunteer with costumes for local school productions. I've made quite a few fun outfits for these girls. They're also getting matching dirndls for our local Oktoberfest. I've done far more complex and/or day to day clothing as well, I just don't have any accessible pics of those outfits right now. Please ignore the mess that is my craft room, my house is really tidy, except my craft room.
  6. Last night was productive! I finished one PHD, cute little skirt and cape sets for sweet little girls that I know that love having dress-up clothes. I did some chin-up work, skincare, and foam rolling. I also went and did some cardio. I like how I intentionally did not put cardio as a goal this challenge because I didn't think I would have time for it, and now I've done it 4 times in 1.5 weeks of this challenge. Ugh. Happy second Monday all! Goals: 1: Lifting sessions 3/12 2: Pull-up/Chin-up work 5/15 3: Greater than 95% compliance with the Renaissance Periodization diet. 98.11%/95% Weight: 151.8/148 4: Recovery and mobility. 5/15 5: Skincare! 5/20 6: Projects half done 2/5
  7. I always add rows, I really notice a difference from them!
  8. Woo for getting the money in the seller's hands! One step closer.
  9. I admire your ability to fast for a whole day. I don't have that willpower.
  10. Yep, the app will put me through 3 weeks (ish, it adjusts continually depending on the feedback I give it) of reverse before settling me in to maintenance. Maintenance is much less strict, but it also isn't "order pizza on Friday and eat leftover pizza every meal, all weekend, every weekend" like I was doing previously... They recommend one good cheat meal at the end of the cut and then minimal cheating until you're settled in to maintenance so as not to gain back what you've lost while your metabolism is still vulnerable from the cut induced trauma. (Yes, I'm being dramatic, it is a low carb day.) You can always do future cuts or mass phases but they suggest maintenance for at least as long as your cut was before another goal oriented phase. YASSSSSSSSSSSSSS <3 She is a QUEEN
  11. Your goals look great! What is the Madcow program?

    Spezzy is back

Ugh, the no snoozing is a struggle! I've heard of apps where you have to actually go take a picture of another room to get the alarm to shut off, but I've never tried them.
  13. This is the most perfect unit of measurement! If she needs someone to talk to about this, I will happily help/facetime whatever. I've got a sickening amount of makeup and I LOVE helping others with this stuff. I think that it is intimidating to people that don't start out playing with it at a young age but it really doesn't have to be.
  14. Hey, having a tough weekend doesn't ruin anything. You can still come back and kick butt, even if it does feel frustrating.
  15. It is painful and sad and unrealistic and frustrating. I get excited by characters like Red Sonja and Brienne of Tarth because they're believable (mostly) in their strength. Also, the access playing Brienne hits the gym hard to pull it off which I love. The Kings are super popular around here. There are some sequins, some added beards, it is more goofy and far less serious than a queens show. Lots of laughter, silly dances and songs, very down to earth, the kings were autographing the stomachs of two young (pre-teen) boys and totally hamming it up. Not sure what Kings shows are like in other cities, but our Kings group has a following at least as big as our Queens group.
  16. Thats a beautiful bujo chart!
  17. Happy Monday all! I hope everyone had a lovely weekend and Passover/Easter. I didn't go home for Easter and kept forgetting it was Easter. I'd have finished 2 PHDs this weekend but it was Easter and Joanns was closed when I got there yesterday. Quilt done, almost done with two little cape and skirt sets for my friends' kids. Went to a drag king show on Friday, it was amazing! It is hard to go out and be surrounded by people with nachos, fried food, and French fries, but I keep reminding myself that this is my choice and this is for my long term health. The diet app is hardcore cutting my carbs today, ugh. Still, 3 weeks left and in general I'm feeling healthier than ever. I didn't get any baking done this weekend, I need to do it, I just didn't want to. I did get in a 90 minute walk on Saturday. It is supposed to rain today so it might be a gym cardio kinda day, otherwise I'll go for a walk after work. Goals: 1: Lifting sessions 3/12 2: Pull-up/Chin-up work 4/15 3: Greater than 95% compliance with the Renaissance Periodization diet. 98.08%/95% Weight: 151.8/148 4: Recovery and mobility. 4/15 5: Skincare! 4/20 6: Projects half done 1.5/5

I love the Artist's Way! Looks like it was an ok week, even if you did get sick. Glad you're doing better.
  19. Ugh, I hate volume work. I'm with you on heavy for fewer reps being my happy place.
  20. I prefer squats first because I feel like they warm up the hips for deadlifts, but that's just my personal preference, and my hips are wonky.
  21. OOOOOOO I'd LOVE a female directed reboot! I also love that it is a female character who is (often) drawn with a realistic amount of muscle considering the amount of ass kicking she can do. I get real bored with stick thin female characters that can trash the muscular men around them because it is so unrealistic.
  22. Yay for hydration. Small victories are still victories!
  23. Pretty sure I'm going to call up my drag queen bestie and beg him to help me with a wig. I don't have nearly enough hair to get to her level.
