  1. Yes please! Ok, fair, most women are silly. To quite Al bundy "Don't try to understand women, because women understand women and they hate each other"
  2. Yep, I get this all the time. I'm 5'6 and a size 4. I'm not jacked but I can put a barbell that weighs as much as me on my back and squat it to the ground for 3 sets of 5. And yet I get this ALL THE TIME! See but for us ladies the next thing is "Be careful, you're going to get bulky" and I just want to bash my head off the wall. Lifting thus far has not made me bulky, do people think I'm going to turn into the Hulk overnight one day?
  3. Ok Pinterest owns my soul and I would love it if you shared your paleo board.
  4. Exactly! Society is still pretty lacking in the ability to process that
  5. Yeah, that's not really being on a "diet" in the commonly percieved sense, it is more that you're living a healthy lifestyle. And honestly most of the "diets" out there are a hot mess. But most people don't understand healthy eating in even the most remote sense so I know how frustrating it can be. People think you hate yourself and that is why you eat healthy but the truth of it is, you're jsut doing what is actually right for you body
  6. Let me rephrase, I LOVE sweats, anywhere but the gym. I wear them into the gym with shorts or leggings under and then put them back on to leave the gym. But I have 20+ years of dance training in my 25 year long life and you do not dance in anything that is baggy or hides your lines. So in my head I can't workout in sweats, it is totally psychological but I have a much harder workout when I wear sweats. That being said, if I could wear sweatpants every other place in my life I would be a much happier person. and I love the phrase "warm cloth hug" because it really is so perfect! I will of course think of you all this weekend and push myself to be as awsome as all of you are <3
  7. Do you have fabulous rain boots? Mine are blue/silver/black zebra. They're really wonderful for puddle jumping And yes, mushrooms are divine. I keep meaning to make bacon stuffed portobellos but I haven't gotten around to it yet
  8. I'm so impressed with your paleo-willpower! You deserve to have some fun this weekend. Also good luck with the 7 pushups, you can do it!
  9. This makes me want to squeel with happy! I bet you two are going to be so cute
  10. I bought my Danerys fabric yesterday, I will be Kahleesi for Halloween! Bring it Westeros
  11. Playing in the rain can be such fun! Dinner sounds delicious and it seems like you got in a good workout. Rock on and have a great weekend
  12. Zumba with my gram and my boss yesterday was priceless! They're both in their 70s and just too cute for words. Plus I got up and lifted this morning. 2/2 lifts this week done! Squat: 2x5x45 1x5x75 1x5x105 3x5x140 Shoulder Press 2x5x45 3x5x55 I actually got the shoulder press, woohoo! That is my hardest lift, always. Also I didn't have time to do laundry this week so I wore sweats today. This is left over from being a dancer, but I HATE working out in pants. Capris/tights/shorts are fine. Dislike sweats. However I got my first ever random compliment in the gym on a lift, some woman told me my squat was impressive since I do lowbar squats below parallel. Thanks lady! Will be out of town this weekend so very little hope for eating well, but I'm still hoping to get a run in tomorrow morning and hit all my goals for this week. Have a great weekend all!
  13. Ok, that is motivation and inspiration. From both of you guys. I've never really been "out of shape" in the traditional sense but I've never, ever been a runner so this is really tough on me. But the point is, we're all getting out there and doing what is tough!
  14. You did meet your goals for the day and that is a big deal! Look on the bright side of it all!
  15. I agree that they're smart and wonderful! I had a friend with a hybred once. However by urban living I mean one of the top 3 largest cities in the states with a yard only slightly larger than my office cubicle. Believe me, once I'm living elsewhere and have a house and yard to accomodate them, there will be some sort of dog in my life. For the time being my kitties and turtle keep me busy and happy. I hope the boys get to do some of your hikes with you!
  16. Good for you! Especially for the running, ugh I feel you with hating it, but you are making progress. It might not be as much as you want, but it is progress none the less, so celebrate that instead of getting upset over the other stuff.
  17. A huge dinner would be amazing... beyond amazing. And my favorite part of this place it that it is smart people working out so you don't get the same crap you get at the gym. People here are smart, workout smart, eat smart, and don't judge. And I see none of that in my real life gym
  18. Ermahgerd DUCKY! So cute! And I'm so glad that you're feeling better
  19. Wendy, this is heartbreaking. However I have a new kitchen mission to find healty(ish) and chocolate-less truffles! IT CAN BE DONE! Also, way to rock the back day, yeah girl! Super impressive and I'm glad you felt like you rocked it. Greatest feeling! Annnnd yeah, your food, ugh, and I have nothing interesting for lunch </3 You make me so hungry! Can I jsut come over for dinner once or twice a week? And by once or twice I mean 5-7 days a week...
  20. Fair enough. I can't imagine how much that sucks. As long as I can load more weight on the bar I'm ok. I don't really meausre or anything, but that must really be hard on you! When I'm bowing to the squat rack I'll ask the iron above to help you figure it out
  21. Thanks, yeah I'm so not a fan of running, and I don't actually know my pace. At this point I'm just proud of myself for doing it and hoping not to die. And my grandma is a badass. Normally in my classes we get the one guy who SUPER shakes his ass, and then the random awkward couple guys who are in the back only dancing enough to make them fit in while they watch the women shake thier asses... awkward sauce
  22. Chocolate comes from a tree, which is a plant, which makes chocolate a fruit or vegetable. Or so my PMS-monster chooses to believe
