  1. Your food sounds amazing, 13lbs down is something to celebrate too! Congrats!
  2. I'm not sure if there is a benefit to your strength to do this, but I like to do it prior to a meet because it helps me mentally conquer my 3rd attempt before I put the weight in my hands on the platform.
  3. Yep, thats dang good too, but I really miss ROTI the chipotle-esque mediterranean restaurant
  4. I'm not saying that there aren't good ones out there to be found, I'm just saying that as you get older, the tone of the dates changes dramatically. They're not even remotely exciting anymore.
  5. I'm not discounting a potential relationship, I'm just stating that dating changes as you get older. I can count on one finger the number of dates in the last 6 years that I've actually felt excited after. I'm adjusting to that reality, the fact that grown up dating means dates are boring as hell. True, but you have to share a bathroom. I'm sure the perks outweigh that drawback though.
  6. Roti as in https://roti.com/menu/ ?
  7. Date update: Date two went well and he said he'd like to see me again. The thing is, I'm not getting the vibe that he wants to spend time with me as much as he just wants someone to spend time with. I'm game for another date to see what happens, but in general I've given up hope on ever having a good date again. Dating after 30 is just dismal. Other than the date, last night I did pull-up work and skincare. I'm heading back home for the weekend, about 200 miles away, so I've got to get laundry and dishes done tonight and pack the car so I can leave right after work tomorrow, then fit in a lift. I'll also be home next weekend, and I really am not budgeted for this many trips home what with home buying in my near future, but I skipped Easter last week to save money, and I can only skip so many family events without them getting cranky over it. Happy almost weekend! Goals: 1: Lifting sessions 3/12 2: Pull-up/Chin-up work 6/15 3: Greater than 95% compliance with the Renaissance Periodization diet. 97.74%/95% Weight: 150.8/148 4: Recovery and mobility. 5/15 5: Skincare 6/20 6: Projects half done 3/5
  8. I'm totally ok with it being a gender neutral group, the more rhinestones the better! (Gosh I miss ballroom dancing, and dancing in general. You don't find rhinestones that frequently in day to day life otherwise.) I'm game for craft thread or FB group. I'd be active on either.
  9. Sanity? I thought that was a joke, who is actually sane?
  10. Come on Rook, you've got this!
  11. I love punny people, thank you!
  12. Not to build the booty, just for mitigating desk job damage. Suuuuuuuuure
  13. My family is so damn Irish Catholic, I even went to Catholic High School and College. I've still got the plaid skirt laying around somewhere to prove it...
  14. I'M HERE FOR THE KNITTING GROUP! #OldLadyAt30
  15. Please share, as a Bi Millennial Catholic I'd love to read that. It can be a struggle at times.
  16. Yes, exactly. It is much less work than lacing them or trying to put in a new/modified zipper. If you're really in to the appearance of either of those previous ideas then I totally get that too.
  17. Guyyyys, that date is tonight. Why are dates so awkward? I was supposed to lift last night. Didn't. I felt bleh, decided sleep was more important, and went to bed at 8 instead. I then came in to work an hour late because I felt gross this morning. I'm unsure if it is allergies, fatigue, or illness at this point but I'm trying to power through. I finished another PHD, I reshaped a civil war bonnet, but I basically did nothing else relevant yesterday. Maybe oodles of sleep gave me longer to get dehydrated, but I weighted in at 150.8 today. I'm not positive, but I'm pretty sure I haven't been this light in about 5 years, and I'm sure that I've never been this strong as this body weight before. Yay for small victories. Goals: 1: Lifting sessions 3/12 2: Pull-up/Chin-up work 5/15 3: Greater than 95% compliance with the Renaissance Periodization diet. 98.16%/95% Weight: 150.8/148 4: Recovery and mobility. 5/15 5: Skincare 5/20 6: Projects half done 3/5
  18. My fitness attitude in one sentence. I admire that you went even though it was drizzly, that is impressive.
  19. You could also just put an elastic piece up the back to make them slide on style boots.
  20. I feel that, it is so easy to let them creep back in when you're not paying attention.
  21. @grumble Mermaid dress ideas that range from chill and playing in the mud to dramatic af.
