  1. Also, Ben-Ro mentioned spaghetti squash, which is another staple for all things pasta related. It's very filling and surprisingly yummy.
  2. I have lost 4 pounds so far all thanks to eating healthy and good old-fashioned exercise:) I have found being on Paleo has been pretty easy. Some suggestions for those who need some help. -Chicken/turkey Club- instead of bread, I use lettuce, I use it like a taco. (my kids love this) -fruit salad breakfast. Apples, oranges, cinnamon, and coconut milk from the can for extra fat. It is so good and easy to make. Make extras for snack for the day, just add the milk when ready to eat. -buy bulk frozen berries of your choice and use half and half. Good dessert. Or you an use coconut milk ( we still use dairy, just not as much.) -chicken/turkey shephards pie, use less potatoes on top and make a cream sauce for underneath mixed in with peas and green beans and carrots, yum. Tip: -coconut milk last 10 days in the fridge. -We always have fruit and veggies on hand. -Make extra dinner and have left overs for lunch. -anything sandwich type can be substituted for lettuce.
  3. Yesterday, went well. Almost ate a marshmallow. My youngest had one in his hand and fell a sleep, my reaction was to get it out of his hand and just throw into my mouth. I caught myself just in time. Kiddos to me! Today haven't exercised, hoping to do this after kids go to bed. I am going to challenge my husband who is also doing this, he is a ranger. Wish me luck.
  4. Ok, so I pretty sure I did that, thanks guys. So today was a grueling day of running and exercising, but I made it. Stuck with Paleo and no cheating! That's a plus. Tomorrow is going to be rough, I am so soar already. I should mention that I would like to lose 60 lbs, it's going to be a lot of hard work, but I can't wait to reap the rewards. So with that, LET'S GO TEAM!!!!

  6. I signed up, #6. I hope I did this right.
  7. So I have been in and out of routines, I am hoping I stay focused and not lose interest. I always like a new way of doing things and I think that this may keep me interested. Here's for new ways! So here are my four goals: 1. Have been doing the Paleo Diet for about a month, but has been a little bit of cheating here, a little cheating there. My goal is not to cheat for the next 6 weeks. I know this will be the toughest goal, but I also know it is achievable. 2. I want to train for a 5k non stop. I did this last summer and absolutely enjoyed it. 3. With the goal of doing the 5k I also want to do extra exercise 5 times a week. My scheudule is pretty busy with my 5 kiddos, but I know that I can do this. 4. Every month I get a 1000.00 for our monthly food/household items. My goal is stick with my shopping list and what ever is left over goes to the kids school clothes. After this six weeks is up, I am hoping to save at least 350.00. I am not sure how well I will do, but there it is. Wish me luck!
