  1. That is amazing advice Hiraedd, I'm saving that quote as a background so I can be sure to remind myself of it! Gah, you guys are awesome
  2. Thanks, and I'm trying to resist the TV-while-eating but I'm just so used to it so it sometimes happens without realising. Gosh I was on show camp for the last few days so I had no control over my diet. Urgh I was fed mostly carbs so I'm bound to need to work harder to get back to where I was.
  3. Aw thanks these seem like they'll really help. I'm hoping that you're right and that I will see progress as I keep at it-slow and steady On a side note I've lost an inch off each my stomach and hips, and half an inch off my upper arm and mid knee. eeep!
  4. Haha, I'm starting to think that my body won't do either type of splits! I don't know that much (read:any) front to back stretches so any tips sounds great
  5. I was doing side to side but now you've mentioned it I might as well try front to back as well (I might as well!) I am so utterly inflexible that my progress is slow but it's better than before at least. Can you do the splits or are you in the same boat as me flexibility wise?
  6. If you find that you really crave flavored drink like ice tea why not make veggie juice or pop some lemon or cut up fruit into your drink bottle overnight. It's flavored but still healthy. Your C25K sounds like it's working really well for you, keep it up
  7. zombies run is so great, those running apps really help motivate you to get out the door as they make it fun! And I find that I don't slack off and walk as often (bonus!)
  8. You could bake him something, that's always sweet, thoughtful and my family and friends love it when I do You can even ice it together as something fun to do? Dunno if its your kind of thing but oh well!
  9. Most of my gym trips is doing a weight class (body pump) , I just am so much more motivated with the music and group vibe- do you go to the gym and if so what do you get up to there? Joe I agree with the sweet potatoes, and especially with some spices they are delish! I think it's two weeks down roughly
  10. It's awesome it hear you're into art and your goals seem manageable Parkour would be sooo cool to do, that sounds like a great thing to work towards (who wouldn't want to be able to act like a ninja?!)
  11. You say you keep accidently drinking something other than water- I'm like that with some snacks too- but you could try and just throw or give to a friend all your soda ect. It would be pretty hard to drink it on accident if it isn't there
  12. Sounds like some good goals, I was trying to bike more often like you (wow 10km is impressive) but my bike broke :/
  13. Great to hear from you Hiraedd, I have been eating no carbs for most of my meals but I was slipping today and not following the meal plan properly-thanks so much for messaging me, it's a reminder to keep on track! I think I'm eating mindfully 75% of the time, but it's an improvement. What about you, how have you managed to eat mindfully?
  14. Yeah I'm having a 3 day of challenge being suspended too- I guess it's all about balance, too strict and I wouldn't follow it at all
  15. I'm still in highschool, and this is really exciting to do. My deadline for these goals are the 23rd of July (my birthday). Goals Fit comfortably into my size 10 jeans. Going to the gym twice a weekEat less than 3 servings of carbs or fruit a day (According to mum I can't rule them out completely, and I still live under her roof, so her rules) Only eat until not hungry, don't eat until full. Mindful eating is really hard, but an essential. Stretch everyday to improve my posture. Toe touchDoorway stretch from arms Splits stretch I'd love to hear from you guys and see how you're going and hopefully for my birthday I will have a better body as something to look forward to!
