    DrWho: Geronimo!

Keep it up champ!!! Keep kicking cheese to the curb!!!
  2. Oh man congrats on the squats!!! I never really used to do them when I was younger and hit the gym in highschool regularly, but I've recently learned to appreciate them! I've been doing sets of 3, 10 each every other gym day...what do you find is the most effective way to do them? care to share some tricks of the trade?
  3. ugh! tell me about it! I usually take my ipad to bed with me and just watch show after show after show!!! Just one more episode I keep saying to myself....I think that will be in my next challenge, go to bed device free! But I get it! It's good quality time with the husband to kick back and watch your fav shows! Hopefully you catch up soon and you get used to the mattress and get a full nights sleep!! best of luck!!!
  4. Forgot his gun?!?! Hahaha that's funny! Good on you so far though!!! You really are pushing forward and I know you have what it takes to keep pushing!!! AND WAY TO KILL THE DIET COKE PERIODICALLY!!! Soon you will be able to go on without it!!!!
  5. UPDATE! DAY 6 So far so good!!!! I managed to hit the gym 3 times this week (mon-wed-fri), and even though on Friday I had a rough day, and was about to quit and not go to the gym, I read your feedback guys and get my ass out of the house and hit the gym hard for 45 mins! I feel so much more refreshed!!! As for the soda, been off the stuff for around 7 days so far! BOOM! I really think I can do this! As for breakfast every morning, I've been doing my best, and each day I find it gets a bit easier and I am willing to put in the time and do it. For my qualifying, I've been analyzing some of my data so far throughout the week, tried to do a few experiments here and there, I'm not where I would like to be on that so far, but I have a new outlook on it that's for sure. All of the changes I've made so far have put on in a calmer mind set and I'm much more relaxed in the lab now that I'm trying to take care of myself. I will just have to keep pushing and hope this week I can up it up! My qualifying is in August, and I need all the support I can get, so keep pushing me guys, you really have been a great influence on me all week! Lastly, I have managed to do all my prayer/meditation this week on time, in a calm manner and it has really helped me relax so far! I would give this week a B+ only because I would like to get my studying up a bit more before I give myself an A. Thanks for all the support peeps! Cheers! And
  6. Thanks for the awesome advice! I def took it that's for sure. Things were rough in the lab on Friday, so I packed up, went to the gym instead, cleared my mind, and now I feel so refreshed and was able to get a full day of work in the lab today...my experiment still hasn't worked but I was much more relaxed and calm about it. Just gotta keep putting in the time and effort I guess.
  7. THANKS!!! Ps- Penns? Ouch lol turned out the leafs were Boston's biggest challenge thus far haha
  8. Thanks man! The support really helped out these past two days!!!
  9. I wanted to pace myself thats why I went with the B+ haha But yea my meditation has been going super awesome as well! Thanks for the tip for breakfast, I think I will give it a whirl this weekend and try to stock pile my breakfast!
  10. Yea I started to have headaches when I first started for the same reason, but it's now been almost a week and I have had ZERO pop and have been drinking mostly water with all my meals and I feel great!

Awesome! Way to avoid cheese so far! Keep me motivated to not have soda! Have fun in Cali, try to stay healthy once there! Side note- big props for being a PHX fan! To be honest, most people on Canada believe you guys don't exist and are pushing to have the team moved to Toronto or Hamilton but Bettman isn't giving in to us. But just for your sake, I hope they stay put and people start to realize how important such a team is for PHX.
  13. Yea taking pics for before and after really help keep you motivated. I've done so as well and plan to upload them by the end of the summer. Hopefully by then I'll be much more toned and back to being fit. Keep at it bud!
  14. Looks like your well on your way to taming your goals for this challenge. Glad to hear you've also signed up for the GMAT. Good luck studying!
  15. Wow look at you go!!! You're going all out with this! Every motivational for the rest of us! Keep at it champ!
  16. DAY 3 UPDATE! So far, I've managed to have breakfast every morning, but I'd like to have a bigger and more proper one. I find that I'm getting hungry right after I get to work so I just simply need to up what I eat and make sure it's still healthy. As for soda and pop, free from the stuff so far! And I already feel better! I don't have that blowty feeling after my meals and I feel lighter on my feet. I had my second day at the guy today, and I went ALL OUT! Had a full hour exercising every muscle group and I kept track of everything in a small journal! I kept pushing myself farther and harder. At times I wanted to quit, but I kept pushing and here I am! Right now I'm in my office in the lab about to do some studying for my qualifying, gonna put in around 2-3 hours and then call it a day! Overall rating for the day: B+ It's only gonna get better from here, thank you all for the support!
  17. Thank you! It's looking good so far and I'm kinda excited to see how far I can go with this and I'm already thinking about the next challenge!
  18. Thanks! Yea time management has been a bit rocky, but I am slowly pulling through and I'm super excited about this challenge and finding this community as a whole!
  19. Well so far so good with no soda. It is tempting to have with my meals and its taking a lot of discipline but I know it will go a long way with getting back in shape!

    DrWho: Geronimo!

I am a DIE HARD FAN! Born and raised in Toronto so I'm a Leafs fan to the end! Who's your team and who do you think is taking it all this year? I think it's going to be a hawks - bruins final and as much as I want Chicago to take it I think Boston might do it in 5.... But yeah before I moved to Montreal a year and a half ago I played on 4 different hockey teams each season and since getting here I've been sitting on my ass all day hence here I am trying to get back into shape!
  21. UPDATE- To kick things off, managed to wake up early today, have a nice breakfast, packed a healthy lunch, and then ventured into the work land! Afterwards, manged to hit the gym though not for long because it was PACKED! Note to self, go to the gym early in the morning before work! I managed to squeeze a small workout, but I want to be better prepared for Wednesday... As of today I am 1 day soft drink free! Managed to get my prayer/meditation all done and out of the way, but didn't get to studying for my qualifying. Basically I need to organize my time better. Breakfast, gym in the morning, work, study, and repeat! Day one-successful, but I'd give myself a B-. Need to improve and that only comes with time!

Ouch! Yea injuries can be a real push back and I'm no stranger to it. Hockey has had a hell of a beating on my body but I keep coming back harder and stronger! Keep at it champ!!!!
  23. Weighted chin ups can be a challenge for sure, but I firmly believe by the end of the challenge you will reach your goal!! GOOD LUCK!!
  24. Yea def want to see your progress in pics as you go along!
