  1. That's seriously amazing, congrats! (it took me 1 year to do 1 pull-up... lol!) keep it up!
  2. Dude, this is fantastic work, congrats! I'm reached around 275lbs myself, and started the same journey you have, practically eating the same sort of things you are (except I wasn't really doing full on paleo because I don't really eat much meat) and yeah, I'm experiencing similar things, it's changed my life for the better too! (and has controlled my asthma!). I started my journey with body-weight and dumbbell exercises, nice to see that you're going in this direction too. Almost at that 175lbs weight! You're an inspiration, keep fighting the good fight! :-)
  3. That's so cool, congratulations! :-)
  4. OMG 50lbs? In 3 months??? That's LEGENDARY! How did you set yourself out to achieve this? Absolutely fantastic! Keep up the solid work!
  5. @Sarah Barr The final countdown indeed! Hi everyone, just thought I'd catch up on the last two days. It's been a bit of a disappointing start to the week. Everything has gone fine for Mon and Tue challenge wise, but I was swamped with a few tasks on Monday and ended up missing out on my workout (it didn't help that I felt groggy due to my 'lenient' Sunday Funday). In an attempt to catch up on it, I did Mondays workout on Tuesday (today), although I should of done both. Depending on tomorrow, I'll try to do another workout, but If I'm sore from today's workout, I'll just do 2x jogging indoors (since the weather has been terrible here lately). Ideally, I'd want to do another workout tomorrow, and 2x jogging on Thursday, and continue from there (it's easier to fast on jogging days than it is workout days). On the subject of fasting, yesterday (Monday) I did a lite fast. Today I did a 24hr Warrior Fast. ... For the first time in my post-NF life, I returned to tabata/HIIT style workouts. I managed to buy an app for my phone which helps out with this, and it's great (blackberry's don't have a great native app selection, so anything it does have is a luxury!) and I definitely feel it gets the most out of me. One of the reasons I've shirked this for so long was that I use to do these types of workouts over a year and a half ago, and they use to be quite tough to do when I was 90lbs+ heavier and my form was all over the place. I also had an inability to perform many of the suggested exercises properly/at all. Now, I just do what I've learned before from the NF fitness guides and just put lots effort into it, and today went fine! :-) I think going forward I'd prefer to approach things in this fashion rather than PLP. It's more exciting, more arcade-y without any slow moments, and most importantly always pushes me. Here is what I managed to accomplish with it today: Chin Ups 9+1+1/5/5+1+1 Goblet Squats 25x3 Push Ups 25/20+4/15 Reverse Crunch 35x3 Ball Knee Tuck 40/43/45 --- Lat Raise 15x2 DB Curls 16x2 It feels like it's been quite a while since I've been pushed myself this hard. 9 chin ups in a row, that's a new record for me! :-) I think tabata/HIIT is where I will settle and/or continue to use going forward. The resistance bands would've been cool to continue with... if it wasn't for the fact that I broke all of my bands :-p (only the tube ones mind you) but yeah, this will make Sunday's Diagnostics THAT much more interesting for sure... Also, it's still going to be quite a while until I join a gym, in which I'm not in any rush for at this moment, I'm perfectly content with exercising the way I am as long as I keep pushing it further/interesting enough alongside balancing all the tasks/errands of the day. For anyone who does workouts at home (and if you aren't already) apps are really good at keeping track of time and pace. I'd often lose track of time before, and rest for too long before moving to the next set, or just stand idle getting my thoughts together/daydream. This works much better for me (and again, I wonder to myself why I didn't do this sooner! :-p) ... Tangent: I've watched a few documentaries before bed in the past week on IndieFlix, really enjoyed the ones that I've watched thus far. I watched: Facing the Fat: WHOAH WHOAH WHOAH! I didn't think ANYONE could ever survive fasting for 55 days in a row... ON JUST WATER! (well, it was smartWater, but still...) :-O He also burned around 50lbs in that time! I'm fine, Thanks: Steve Kamb is in this one! It's a really cool doc on complacency, really motivating, just what I needed to see (again!)... Healing Yourself - In a World of Medicine Gone Mad: This one was really inspiring, and reminds of my encounter with my doctor when I was younger and was just told that I'll never be able to cure my asthma. I can't believe there are many who've experienced something similar but on a much bigger scale (with cancer)... Looking forward to watching more docs!
  6. Hi Umodiel it's been a long time! :-) I didn't know you were around after your little hiatus from a while back, nice to see you're active! :-) Ah man, hope you feel better/heal up soon! You're real amazing for not letting anything get in your way, keep fighting the good fight! :-)
  7. Thank you so much for the encouragement! :-) (For some reason, 1.6lbs seems like a big number to me because it's getting harder to chip weight off. Perception is a funny thing...) Really going to put in a ton of effort this week whenever/wherever I can! (esp. w/ pushing EXErcise to the limits) it's going to be a tough week for challenge 1, but I shall persevere!
  8. Seriously, that's... groundbreaking.
  9. "Hmmm, I see my newdy mistress is doing rather well this week..." *stares* "I demand another!"
  10. Hope a have a most excellent week 5, and slay any and every sugar gremlin that gets in your way! :-) x
  11. Hi! :-) Are man :-( hope you both get better/well soon! Here are some quotes (since I know you're a fan! ;-) for you to keep in mind in these times... Hope you have a most excellent week 5! :-)
  12. Great week Sarah! :-) p.s. I think I'm going to have nightmares about bone eating snot flowers...:-/
  13. Excellent, and wow, an anti-anxiety exercise sounds excellent, that's yet another great idea that I can 'borrow' from you ;-D
  14. That is such an ace jacket, excellent color/logo/and it suits you :-) x
  15. Hi everyone! Friday went as planned, and I caught up with both exercises + did a 24hr fast. Saturday went well too, and I did a 19hr fast that day. Sunday Diagnostics 12/10/2014: Been a good week, and I've managed to cut off 0.8lbs off my body-weight, putting myself at 176.6lbs. My body-fat has been cut to 18.6%, and my muscle-percentage has been upped to 40.5%. Was excited to see what this week brought, considering my total body-weight stayed the same last week. Getting to -175lbs sure is tough, but it's a good journey, and any weight gained by muscle is good in my books. I just need to experience the same weight loss as this week twice and that's pretty much it, exciting! I do wonder, we're 4 weeks into this challenge, can I get this done by the end? *suspense* Hope you're all well, had a nice/chillaxing day today. Bring on week 5! :-)

  18. Seriously gorgeous looking food pr0n! Glad to hear all's okay in Kailerland... :-)
  19. Gutted to hear you had an unpleasant day yesterday, but I'm really glad that you're feeling better and up and running now (or should I say tapping? *Rimshot*) Take care and have a most excellent weekend! :-)
  20. Excellent progress! Exciting to hear you've explored and found something, hope for the best!
  21. Excellent progress! That's really a high level achievement! :-)
  22. I would say do as many as you comfortably can now in good form and kept consistent with it for a week or two, then think about upping the reps one by one. Someone else may have a better strategy, but that's how I'd approach it... :-) Awesome pics btw!
