  1. Woohoo! Love the table!
  2. Hi All, So for the past year I have been going to the gym in my attempt to get fit and healthy and I find myself doing the same strength workouts over and over again. Normally I start by using a fitness ball and ill aim for 3 - 5 sets of 10 rep weighted squats (12.5kg), 15 sit ups, then 10 rep one arm dumb bell row (12.5kg). Once I have done this I normally then do 2 sets of 10 reps dumbbell bench press (9kg weight), 10 reps dumbbell curls (7kg) and 8 reps two armed lateral raises (4kg). At the moment I am doing strength training sessions at least twice a week so lots of rest in between but I am getting quite bored of the above. A bit about me I'm a 24 year old female, weigh around 90kg, and im aiming for weight loss but I also want to build as much muscle as possible Any advice or any other strength exercise ideas would be great. Thanks!!!
  3. So lucky that you can sleep through a whole 6 hours without waking up! I usually wake up at least once or twice in the night. I find that on 6 - 7 hours I feel much better, even with increased exercise. Waking up that extra bit early seems to perk me up for the rest of the day.
  4. You are doing so well! I find with planks if i suck my belly button in I can go for longer
  5. Little update before the weekend is over, have kept on track with gym gym going 3 times this week so far, with 1.5 strength training sessions. Haven't been getting my 1 serving or fruit or vege though, but still a few weeks to go for that! As I found out a week ago I was low in iron I have been eating more steak so will see if that gives me an energy boost! Was hoping to go for a bike ride or two this weekend but so much rain has kept me indoors Hope everyone has/is having a good weekend!
  6. Good luck on your first challenge! Finishing projects is so damn hard when you get so many ideas and start work on different ones!
  7. Hi Sarah, I completely forgot to make cauliflower rice! I was going to a month ago but never got round to it so thanks for reminding me! That nom nom website looks awesome, it's amazing what you can actually eat following a paleo lifestyle
  8. Hi e-Adora, adding to soups is an interesting idea I might try that! I really wish I could get my hands on spaghetti squash but they just dont sell it here
  9. My plan is to go to the shops tonight to get some fresh inspiration for new meal ideas. I want to try out foods like quinoa and chickpeas which I've never cooked before and see if they taste any good. Trying to find some carb alternatives to potatoes, pasta and rice. I gave up pasta and rice for a month whilst going strict paleo and i missed it too much!
  10. Love how you change your goals to be more challenging! Marking guide is very noice.
  11. Your goals look awesome, I've recently taken up bike riding sometimes instead of driving my car and it is so rewarding
  12. Sounds like you are well on your way to smashing your challenge!
  13. So went to the gym gym last night, worked up a sweat and managed to finally do some chin-ups on the assisted chin up machine Still having my one veg one fruit serving per day as well! Gotta love that V8 juice
  14. Wow these are great goals! I recently started riding my bike to the shops and it feels really good knowing you dont have to find a park, sit in traffic and then worry someone is going to scratch up your car. And because you have to ride home you won't be so tempted to buy as much Good luck with your goals and I hope you drop a dress size or two!
  15. Sounds like an awesome plan After calorie counting for 4 months I wanted to throw my computer out the window so just writing down what you eat is probably a better, or more sane, idea. Going paleo is tough but with your son's health issues you have a real motivation to start living a more clean lifestyle. Good luck!
  16. Good luck with the challenge! I work at a university so I can see it on so many students face's how stressed they get so a distraction with exercise can sometimes be what you need to get over writing and researching so much Win-Win both ways
  17. Yeah takes some time to get used to it, this challenge goes for 6 week so PLENTY of time yet! I found that after a week or so of exercising in the morning I seemed to have more energy throughout the day.
  18. Good luck with the challenge!!! I struggled really hard trying to eat less starchy carbs, cut sugars and diet drinks all at the same time so don't give up if one just happens to slip back in
  19. Good luck! So many options we have now to track everything
  20. Congrats on first post, I was the same, always watching and never posting. I went to the play ground the other day and I have to say it was a fun way to workout. I still can't get over how hard it was to go on the monkey bars! Talk about a workout!
  21. Goals always seem so simple when you write them down Good luck!
  22. Those are some big goals! I found I really like using almond milk with protein shakes as it gives it a different taste, cuts my cravings for other things like soft drink
  23. Thanks for the encouragement! Definately going to be an interesting 6 weeks!
  24. Good luck with your goals!
