  1. yesterday was not so good we had a surprise pizza party for the plant at lunch time. Didn't cost me money, but cost me my lunch hour. BOO!! Got home and headed out for what was supposed to be a 2 hour round trip for a new motorcycle helmet. 5 hours later made it home. Dinner? all fried fast food. eating out, not good for me, yuck in all. When I got home, I did get me time in. Went to bed and watched the baseball game while reading a book. To control the eating out this weekend, I already put $50 on my cc today. Paying it in advance so the money isn't there to spend. I give this day a 4 out of 5 Keep up the good work everyone, and thank you for all the encouragement.
  2. I'm sorry you were let down so bad. I think we all emotional eat whether people admit it or not. You should be proud of yourself for not eating at Carl Jr's for a week. When it's become a habit, it's hard to change, and just because you went today, doesn't mean you gave in to temptation all those other times. That really is something to be proud of. You accomplished all the goals you set for yourself yesterday. Again, be proud of yourself. Ok, you had a slip up. We all do. I agree with hit the reset button. I always think "My journey of joy begins today." If it's been a tough day, I take a deep breath and think, my journey of joy begins right now. If you have time, go out for a 10 minute walk. Look at all the beautiful flowers, the bright green leaves, and remember that you're an awesome person that deserves the best.
  3. Posy, where's today's update? been waiting, and waiting . . . . keep it up. With an organized plan like you have it will be very, very hard not to succeed.
  4. Abs, you're doing fantastic! The stress of training in a new job and keeping up with your goals? priceless! you rock girl. Keep up the good work, and know I'll be waiting for tomorrows update. Reading your posts make me smile. Thank you.
  5. think the mud run sounds like a lot of fun! Good luck with that and you checked in! You go girl!
  6. I was shocked when I first used my fitbit and discovered how little I was moving. The northwest is beautiful. You have some excellent places to wander if my memory serves me correctly. Portland is where my parents are both from so we use to go back when I was little. Best of luck with your goals. They seem doable, just don't get discouraged and give up if you have a bad day.
  7. Challenge update: walk - made 15 minutes and only 4200 steps for the entire day. Felt really blah and need to make a bigger effort to get off my lazy hinney. I did eat the breakfast I packed, but not the lunch I packed. In reading everyone's threads I really started craving salad, so off to Wendy's I went for a 1/2 salad. Since this at 2 pm and dinner was supposed to be at 5:30, not so good but . . . dinner was chicken, rice and yellow beans so I stayed healthy. Bonus for me! Since I didn't go out for dinner 2 nights in row, and i traded my morning coffee for the cost of the salad, I put $20 towards my CC bill today. It's nice to be able to pay a little each day if I want. You just don't realise how much you put towards it until you look at the balance and think WTF??? but in a good way. LOL Snuck in my me time be pretending to be in the shower for 30 minutes. Turned it on, then just sat and read a book. I needed that. Thank you everyone for your suggestions and support. Since it's supposed to rain here for the next couple of days I will try some of the treadmill suggestions.
  8. You would think that would help but the hubby decides if I'm turning in early then he will go too. Sometimes I just sneak out of the house and sit in the car to read. If I leave the phone in the house I get a little longer, but he's figuring out how to find me now so I need a new hiding place. You're doing awesome in meeting the goals you set for the challenge so far. Keep up the good work.
  9. Tateman you should be proud of yourself. You live a very hectic full life and still find the time to exercise and eat better. Your 14 year old will try the new dishes if you let them help you cook. (experience) They will even push the others into trying the stuff they helped make. I am having fun reading your blog and am enjoying your updates. Best of luck today with the moving, bowling and fast food. Remember . . . you're the totally awesome TATEMAN!
  10. How's it going? Did you get out for the 7 minute routine? Think I'll look that up. Keep us posted.
  11. Just checking, how did the day go? Did you track? Eercise? Clean? I know you can do this, just keep us updated.
  12. looks like some super goals, and you have some added incentive with wanting to get off the meds. With little ones around the exercise time can be harder so I really encourage the use of a playground, kicking a soccer ball with them, playing tag, anything that makes the kids exercise too. I like the sleep goal. I think that should be a goal for most of us. Good luck with the night time eating. I do ok until my other half starts in with the ice cream, popcorn or chips. Then it's all down hill. You will do excellent! Best of luck
  13. Started training for my new job as hotel receptionist today, and loved it! I got this job by fluke - the owner was in my uncle's restaurant last Friday and happened to mention that his receptionist was going on maternity leave soon, and my uncle happened to mention this to me later. I used those "20 beserker seconds" to decide to go straight away and apply for the job. It was so worth it! Congratulations on the new job! Isn't it funny how things work? Time to break up the exercise into smaller time frames, maybe before work, lunch, after work? You're doing awesome! Keep up the great work. Always remember to "Enjoy life. This is not a dress rehersal." I can't remember who said that . . .
  14. love the challenges! Goal #1 is very true, we don't stop playing because we get old, we get old because we stop playing! Sounds like you can even incorporate goals 1 and 4 if you start to run short on time. Go exercise on a playground. You won't beleive the workout you get from the monkey bars! And it doesn't feel like exercise to play frisbee or football with a group of friends. I count those in as bonus time. Best of luck. I'll be lurking around to see how you do.
