  1. Hey it went really well actually! As of last night I am down to 319! Had an awesome abs/body weight workout last night too. How's your week going?
  2. Hey! Really great goals! Biking in the road is so terrifying. I've tried to brave the city streets before (d.c.) and will never do it again! I recently have started to make all my meals at home and something that helps is prepping meals in advance. I will take my Sunday night and make meals for the week. I usually make the same breakfast for all 5 days, two lunches/evening snack which I rotate back and fourth, and two dinners. Then when you have unexpected stuff come up and you don't have time or don't feel like cooking you have everything ready to go. Anyway, I hope you're having a great day! Take care. -Joey
  3. Hey! Great goals, I know you will be able to complete the challenge with high marks! Once you get into a routine with your workouts it will become easier. I used to dread going to the gym and now i don't feel right if I can't make it up there. Well, I hope you're having a wonderful day and you're feeling better. -Joey
  4. Everything is going well! I've been recording my workouts and working hard on cutting back my spending. Haven't weighed in yet, I will do that on monday. I hope everything is going well for you also! -Joey Hey! I just looked up the Paleo diet and I will see what i can come up with in the kitchen as far as baking recipes. If I'm not mistaken the recipe I have for energy bars in my gallery would be considered Paleo, just make sure you use dried cherries that are unsweetened. The festival does sound fun but it looks like I will have to wait until next year, two of my friends are having their engagement party that weekend and i wouldn't want to miss it. I guess the money will be going to a gift for them and to fund the backyard conditioning equipment I'm planning on getting this summer.   5. Did a crucial body weight workout this morning then after work went back for some more circuit training, weighted abs, and my "leg day" routine. I'm a Caps fan so I hope the Bruins can finish this in four and embarrass the Pens! Imagine the workout these guys are getting after almost 80 minutes! Take care. -Joey
  6. Hey, Great goals! I know you will be able to achieve them, just keep your nose to the grindstone and get through it. I like your goal of giving up sugar, I have some recipes here that might help you, the energy bars are a great sweet tooth suppressant and the only sugar in it comes from the fruit and you can't cut fruit can you?! Well, just wanted to pop in and let you know I'll be rooting for you and remember EAT CLEAN TRAIN MEAN!! -Joey
  7. Thanks for the encouragement! We can lose this weight together! I have never heard of tabata, I will have to look that up but I do circuit training almost every day and i love it! I stay away from long periods of time on treadmills and the like and instead go for high intensity strength training with lower weight and high reps with little rest time in between sets/exercises. When I lift to max out I do supersets of muscles groups and go back and fourth with little rest in between. I too am not an expert but I try to pick stuff up from people who know what they are doing and modify it to my needs. Anyways, I'm off to check out your thread. Thanks again for the encouragement!   8. Gosh! The clean sink sure hits home for me, I hate having an unclean kitchen but I seem to be the only one in my house that will clean the dishes and dernit some times I'm just not into it! Good luck with your goals! I know you can do it! Have a great day! -Joey

  10. Just got home from the gym. I worked with a trainer today and he had me do all body weight exercises. I worked hard and he gave me a good workout. After the training session I hopped on a bike and did 4.5 miles to cool down. A co-worker and I are planning to go to the gym again later tonight to lift weights (it's leg day!).   13. Hey, Great goals! I know you can achieve them Pattee! The liquid calories are so useless im glad you are cutting them out. I too am trying to save about a grand by the end of this challenge so keep me posted on how you find ways to cut spending. Good luck! -Joey
  14. Hey, Good luck with your goals! I know you will reach them if you stay focused. I too have trouble getting my dog to run at my pace (he is a 70 lb pitbull so if he wants to sprint we sprint) keep us posted on your progress! -Joey
