  1. The more and more weeks go by the busier I get with putting on my show, but that doesn't mean I stopped altogether. Biking/running is holding up well. I'm not as sore the next day and I can feel my endurance growing. Very nonconvientional weight this week. Playing with twin 3 year old boys, gardening, as well as push-ups and pull up kept my upper body going. Meditation: I guess I just like it. It seems so easy. No complaints from me usually. Pay it forward: I made a friend a beautiful craft item to put in her kitchen to help her. She loved it! It felt great making something and giving something just to her from me.
  2. Update: this past week had its ups and downs. My biking/running has gone very well. I didn't do one day because it was 104•F outside and so I took the car with ac. . Weight training was iffy this week. I didn't leave it out entirely but I didn't get all the time I wanted either. Life and laziness kinda got I the way. Meditation has gone great! Far better than what I expected. I'm really enjoying myself. I consciously thought of something to do as a pay it forward everyday. I didn't really do most of them on that day but it got my brain thinking about it. My fav pay it forward of this week was high fiving another runner ( I don't know) and telling them they were doing a good job. She smiled so it made me smile.
  3. Thanks for the hearty welcome. When I don't bike to work I try to go once around the block with my dog. It doesn't always happen but I try and put something in there. I just found myself EXTEREMELY sore last week which I'm sure is due to lack of good stretching. Thanks for the advice on the weights. It's truly what I'm most clueless about. I think I am going to try and plan out something for my pay it forward. It's kinda crazy to have to consciously think about doing something nice for someone. Lol. Thanks for all your help and support.
  4. So far I'm doing pretty good. I couldn't bike to work Thursday or Friday because of the things I needed to bring to work. I'm also realizing how much time I need to dedicate to stretching. I was really sore this week because of it Meditation is going great. I'm surprised at how easy it is for me. Some days I'll do 5 min morning and 5 in the evening. Weights is a bit harder. It is not as fun but I'm seeing an improvement in reps. Haven't changed weights yet though. I could find something I did everyday to pay-it-forward, but I want to work on being more aware that I'm doing it at the time.
  5. I have a hard time running as well. I really think it will help. I'm not really used to the challenges and set up this provides so I hope I didn't overdo it. Thanks for your reply.
  6. Rex's Doctor Who Companions Workout Let's face it: if you have watched Doctor Who you have wanted to be a companion. The second thing (at least for me) is saying "You have to be in good condition to travel with the Doctor." So I've decided I want to be ready when I hear that beautiful TARDIS noise outside my front door. What does it take to be a companion? 1) Run! Companions must be able to run at least short distances at any moment.(run/walk 1mile M, W, F; bike to work everyday) +1 Con, +1 DEX, 2) Clear mind. Companions often come up with solutions to help the doctor at the blink of an eye( Meditate 5 min Everyday). +1 INT, +1 WIS 3) Strong body. You never know when you will be hanging off the side of Big Ben or clinging to the outside of the TARDIS. ( lift weights W , S) +1 StR 4) Help save the world. Manage to keep the peace on other worlds but most of all Earth. (1hr of work Sun; a pay-it-forward everyday)+ 1 Cha, +1 WIS I will award myself points at the end of every week. What do you think? Any other Companions-in-training out there?
  7. Doing this one. I did 10 mins today
