  2. Been super busy with work stuff lol... So goals: 1. I haven't really been tracking my sodium as I been wanting to, but I been doing pretty good. I been staying under 2000mg most days, 2. Anger is no fun, I started a new therapist in conjunction with my first one so hopefully progress will be better, I hope. I have my days 3. Activeness has been... haha not really existence. I use standing desk for 90-99% of my work days so there is that, right?
  3. For breakfast/lunch I had 2 McDonald's sausage breakfast burritos and a small coffee should have only at one of them. Whoops. At least I didn't eat the hash brown that came with them lol. Dinner is a sweet potato and Italian sausage hopefully dinner is better.
  4. Getting back to the grind so to speak... Goals are simple: 1. Keep my sodium to around 2000mg, I was never given an exact number but I am personally aiming to keep it below 2000mg a day, I will need to keep myfitnesspal tracking again I stopped recently but should prolly make sure I am still within my desired range. Max I am allowing myself a day is 2300mg. 2. Keep my anger in control, it has been bad and I need to curb it good luck me. Going to therapy for this. 3. Get more active, we bought the ringfit game for this, so hopefully I get around to doing it more and getting better. Go me?
  5. I plan to somehow restart next challenge. Nothing drastic. Stay on track with diet Do more ringfit... lol Get my anger in check better Do better at work Goals
  6. I been fine for a long time. But I am back ish... lets see how I do. Lol. A lot has changed since last time. Have a 2nd kid, got high blood pressure, on meds for that + finally going with the low sodium diet the doctor wants me on. Uhh yeah life lol.
  7. So I finally migrated my Epic List (see the link below in my sig) to the neat Epic Quest setup NF has for characters, I just can't figure out the link.... Eh I will get there eventually. Today we tackled laundry and some of the packing for our trip. Still not completely finished with laundry, but getting there. There is a bunch of clothes put away, a bunch of clothes stacked and piled on our couch futon, a load in the dryer and a load in the washer. This has not been an easy process for us and we are slowly getting it finished. BUT I am glad that we are getting time to finish things. Also, we worked on cleaning up Izzy's bedroom, but it needs to be finished. SO there is that.
  8. What the others said, also you have your head tucked downward into your chest, this is pulling your back into an arch. Keep your whole body straight. Imagine a rod going from top of head through your body and keep that line.
  9. This... Sounds like it would suck: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FMlBUcujpw0
  10. Gods this house cleaning thing is kicking my ass. lol Well here it goes, I got until the end of this FRIDAY to have the house clean before we go on vacation and be gone for a week. We don't want to come home to a house that smells like rotting garbage and dirty dishes and clothes... This weekend has started with a wake-up call in that perspective.. So my week 0 is going to be completing the house cleaning. Cause there is A LOT is also prepping for the vacation we been planning for a year... I should say "planning" as we dunno what we are going to do besides going out of state to see family. So the first full week we will be in NY and I won't be around. No idea what I will be getting into. After that who knows what my goals will be. I am sure I will come up with something.
  11. I am a dude, but I had this issue with shaving my beard and neckline. Same concept though. These are things I did and it helped remove my problems. 1. Echoing the sharp razor. 2. Wash thoroughly. Dirt will clog the razor super quick. This does a few things: removes dead skin, softens the hair, etc. 3. WET the area. Seriously, saturate the hair 4. Shaving Creams are okay -- I use a shave butter -- Use a thin layer and let it sit for a few seconds, let the hairs get loose. 5. Short strokes. LIGHT touch, do not just push the blade into your skin as you shave. Long strokes actually clog the blades of the razor and require you to go back over it again and irritate it more. 6. Keep the razor clean and the area to be shaved wet. Allowing it to dry is a huge reason for chafing and such. Keep it wet and apply shaving cream as needed. Repeat 4 to 6 until hair is at desire length/removal. 7. When done, use cold water to rinse off excess cream and loss hairs this closes up the pores. 8. Pat dry -- Rubbing causes chaffing and could lead to bleeding in some cases as the skin is super sensitive and actually pretty thin at this point. 9. Lotion with something unscented and apply a deodorant stick to the area if need be to prevent chafing and such. This area will still probably irritate if not use to shaving. Here is a decent Youtube related to shaving faces, it mentioned preshave oil, this is actually not required but if you have it it wouldn't hurt https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G__lySaTeNM From the Art of Manliness, they talk about using a Safety Razor, but the info is still good: http://www.artofmanliness.com/2008/01/04/how-to-shave-like-your-grandpa/
  12. Well this week has been... Well not fun. It started with Monday being hectic trying to get things done. Tuesday was a meeting I could barely do anything on. Wednesday I spent the day home with my sick daughter she woke up at 2AM and vomited nonstop until 6AM, so yeah. We finally got the car back AND it is still stalling out like it has been gah. Today has been... Crazy trying to catch up. Tomorrow is going to be nuts. This weekend is going to be rough.
  13. SO I ended up taking a pto day from work. I gave them the vague reason of 'situations going on at home' which isn't a lie, there is a lot going on. But I think the stress from work was eating at me. So I took the day and spent it with my wife and daughter and doing some house stuff. We started the spare bedroom and it is starting to look better. Got Izzy outside on her bike and she enjoyed it. Eventually Wifey had to go to work so it is just Izzy and I... Now I am watching a Youtube video... This one currently: Heh. SO yeah there is that.
  14. Roll out failed horribly last night. Going to 2 stores with fix in place hopefully it works. I am getting super stressed out. Seriously. Qen: Lol I do software development for Walmart Update @ 1805...ish: The roll out last night was horrible and it was indeed my own fault. I altered the deployment flow and it broke going to 200 stores. Not good, luckily the changes were reverted and the stores had little to no down time related to the changes themselves. There was a lot of other things going on around it as well that apparently possible issues but the results was entirely mine. This means that the roll out I been using is being changed... Again. -sighs- I keep doing this to myself. Once the fixes are good and no other issues are foreseeable I want to push heavy on the roll out schedule and ramp it up hardcore to meet our commitment of July 7th. This would place us well within the goal of end of Q2 for work AND be done before I go on my vacation to see family in NY. I have been so stressed out that it was obvious to my coworkers and I am pretty sure to my manager as well. I almost cried because of this today. I was shaking, had little to no appetite and the stress was visible in my face and body language apparently. Once these changes are rolled out completed to chain, I will be a little less stressed until my next roll out. There is at least 1 more phase of changes that need to be analyzed and coded if it comes up to needing code changes. I am hoping no changes needed on my end. (here is to hoping). the other thing I need to do roll out for is a change I been waiting to test but can't until changes from another team has been code reviewed and put in as my changes are part of a program that their program is dependent of. BUT I can't make my changes and compile the code until they have their changes in the repository... I just can't win. My first year working for Walmart as not been a good one. I look back at it and see I have accomplished very little in terms of major work. I have my strengths and know them well, but my weaknesses are killing me. Left and right I make either dumb decisions that kill things when they are starting to get traction and running awesomely, I rush things and have to do more work to fix the issues than I originally put into the logic, or I have so much trouble concentrating. Lately has been more than normal for concentration issues because of the stupid stuff I did to myself. It is shameful, I am ashamed of my mistakes and the outcome thus far. I was hoping for a stellar roll out and I keep throwing myself under the bus. I struggle when to call my manager/tech lead/support for help when I need it because I don't want to come off as a burden. This isn't fair to them that I am a screw up. I am too hard on myself for my failures (something my team keeps telling me but I can't help but feel that my failures are terrible because I did them to myself.) I struggle to call in assist when it comes to coding or debugging things, I feel I should KNOW what I need to do and how to do it because it is my job, my career, my field of choice, my passion, my degree's focus. I struggle with time management, something that keeps coming back to haunt me. Everything I mention is related to faults of my own. I won't drop them here as this edit is already really stupidly long already. Gods I am tired, I just want to nap right now. I am hoping when the wife gets home I can take a short nap before this evening so I do not have to worry about falling asleep in front of my laptop when I should be focusing on my deployment and validation. To add insult to injury I forgot to pull out food for tonight for dinner so I think we are going to do a fend for self night or something. going to see what the wife thinks. I don't even want to cook right now, I just want to sleep. So tired. So very very tired.
  15. So problem got diverted super early this morning related to the store issue. yay. They appear to be up and running again. My roll out last night went both flawlessly and fast. Like I was done within 10 minutes it was bloody amazing. I did some dishes last night. Tonight I will be finishing them up and working on the laundry that is out on the futon/couch in the living room getting that all folded/hung and put away. I might tackle my daughter's room/closet (might wait until the weekend though...) I got another roll out tonight to more stores. I am excited that this is FINALLY getting some real traction and phase 1 of this issue will be resolved, or at least no turning back. Another few things that need to be worked on: Spare room needs to be cleared out, cleaned up, and put back together. This really is a weekend job, probably do this and then have my daughter and wife do Izzy's room/closet. There is still a lot to be done and we are slowly plugging away. I hope to have our bedroom cleaned for good as it is pretty bare and I kind of want to keep it that way (no need to have a billion things in, but let's see how it goes) I want to have the house picked up, bills paid, and everything else done before we go to NY in a month.
  16. Just remembered this was here and I posted here a year ago lol. I am still in the area... Anyone around still?
  17. This weekend has been a blur of interesting circumstances and partial work on my challenge. Here is a recap: Thursday night wife came to pick me up from work. Everything was going just lovely until we were turning left at an intersection off of the street the office is on into a main roadway... It stalled out like 5 times before we managed to get it out of traffic and into a side parking lot. We waited for a half hour and tried to start the car again, no luck as it kept stalling out as we tried to turn around to get going again... We ended up just parking in the lot there and getting a cab ride to pick up Izzy and then go home. Luckily our (former) roommate was still home (he was in the middle of moving out that day) and he took her out to her car later that night. Luckily it drove without issues. Friday we drove it to and from the places we needed to go (Her work, my work, and daycare -- respective of the person) and it was okay, but we decided to finally take it to a dealer to get that looked at (luckily there is a recall on this issue -- FINALLY!) Saturday we finally got it to the dealer and they are suppose to get it in to look at today. We have a loaner for now -- a Nice newer Mustang.. Heh. Anyway! This weekend also saw some significant shift in our room setup. Wife and I took over the master suite and have been in the process of moving things over Saturday and Sunday. Well, Saturday was clean up of the suite and Sunday was a final clean up and then start moving stuff over. We moved a ton of stuff over from the bathroom and our old room over. Still have quite a bit to go (both those rooms need some heavy cleaning still). We made headway on cleaning the laundry just need to put it away (which is going to be fun! (heh -- "fun") I got a rollout to do tonight, meh not a fan of those currently. But that is okay. At least it isn't bad. I gotta rework the workflow for the rollout to improve it better -- I want to make sure I am doing it more efficiently, right now it is working but it could use some heavy rework to be better. Hopefully it will be finished fairly quickly -- should be it is suppose to be done July 7th. Our plans to go to NY and see family might be cancelled if the car cannot be fixed on time (if it can't be we are going to try to fly if wifey can). We are suppose to hear on the car today -- so let's hope. When I get home today it is going to be a fun mess of figuring out what to get done tonight. Maybe some picking up, maybe some laundry (This is outside of the work related rollout lol) Update: Good gods I want to slap Support people. I found out TODAY about an issue in a store that has been going on for about a week now... It is related to changes I am working on rolling out (When I say related is my changes would've impacted this) I only found out about it briefly earlier and seeing as it never got escalated to me I mental noted it and figured it would raise up later (or my changes would fix it tomorrow)... Well, I logged in HOURS before I needed to be one to find an email chain has started related to the issue. I looked at the chain, read a few of the emails. Logged into the store and did some quick looking around. No logs, the information I read in the chain was accurate... I looked for the scripts, they were there... No changes. So I went to check the rmview jobs... There... were... none... Zero. Not a single one... Five minutes of research and I found that. WTF people.

  19. Wifey and I will be spending this weekend cleaning and moving stuff around yay
  20. Yeah, see the title.. I think it fits. I poofed during last challenge, I think I actually MISSED a challenge somewhere in there, I think.... Anyway! Yeah, repeating my previous challenge i was kind of here for.. Clean my house... Stuff... Yeah... A few challenging bits: 1. Room mate is moving out super soon so it is just me, our daughter (4 years old), and my wife... w00T 2. Wife is About 15 weeks preggers, yay! 3. In about a month we are going to NYS to see family... SO yeah... Bonus tidbit: Rollouts suck.
  21. I did that.. Yesterday, kind of? wife and I cleaned our daughter's room and the living room heavily due to her getting her bed in so that was fun
  22. Things got derailed a bit but I hope to remedy this soon.
