  1. I mentioned this in another post before, but I'm running the Maryland Half Marathon on May 23rd. I'm excited, and nervous, but overall I think it will be an awesome experience. Anywho, the race is to support the University of Maryland Cancer Center. If anyone would like to help me raise money I've set up a donation page: https://mdhalfmarathon.com/stevesfundraisingpage! Thanks guys!
  2. I'm here! Did great w/ my running (23 out of 50 miles done) Worked out 3x for the week as planned Down to about 231 pounds (goal is 225). WooT!
  3. The vast majority of my working out is on my lunch break. We have a fitness center in the office building so I'll go knock it out, get a quick shower in, and get back to work. I'll sometimes go back after work if I'm feeling up to it.
  4. Yeah, its a side scoller..and yeah, the 3d ones were TERRIBLE. Old school Sonic FTW
  5. My laptop background is one of the basic Windows Vista ones (buncha fish). My work computer background is one of the "dirty thunderstorm" pics from National Geographic. http://news.nationalgeographic.com/news ... no-photos/ It's pretty nifty.
  6. Sonic. The. Hedgehog. 4. I haven't read Nintendo Power since I was in elementary school, but when I was checking out at the grocery store and saw a copy at the register. It bold letters at the top of the cover it says "Sonic 4!" so I had to buy it. Apparently Sega is gettin' all nostalgic and releasing a Sonic that plays out alot like the original 3 (which. were. awesome). It's supposed to be downloadable on Wii (and I think xbox live) at some point this year. I'm excited, but I don't like that it's apparently being broken down into Episodes, with Episode I only having 4 zones to play through. Regardless, hells yeah I'll be getting this!
  7. I just bought the original version this past weekend and have been playing almost non-stop. I suck, but I very much love this game. Once upon a time I was very into custom campaign creating. I never made a full campaign, but I'd make some very epic levels.
  8. Jess- That would be AWESOME to run a half with you! And yeah...the triathalon...
  9. So yeah...I kinda sorta just signed up to run a half marathon next month. Holy shit? I'm still kind of a noob to this whole "running" thing, but I enjoy it, so much so that I very much jumped the gun and signed up for a full marathon in October. Again I say, holy shit! I'm part apprehensive, part nervous, and part "Ohmyf*ckinggodwhydidijustsignupforthat". But I think I can do it, and it will definitely help provide a base for marathon training. It's for a good cause too! I'll be running to support the University of Maryland Cancer Center. I'll be accepting donations too, but I haven't set up the donation page on the site yet. That's all, just wanted to put that out there. If anyone has any tips or whatnot, they'd be more than appreciated. If anyone plans on being in Maryland on May 23rd and wants to join me, that'd be awesome too! http://mdhalfmarathon.com/Page.aspx?pid=418 I'll be posting on the blog about it too...in the meantime, if you need me I'll be in a fetal position under my desk (kidding!...maybe...)
  10. The one thing I LOVED about VIII was the card game which I can't remember the name of right now. Triple Triad
  11. 1. Sonic the Hedgehog 3 and Knuckles (when you plugged Sonic 3 into the S&K cartridge) 2. Final Fantasy VIII (yes, I meant 8, I can't believe more people don't LOVE this game) 3. Sim City 4 4. Starcraft 5. Tetris
  12. Just finished reading: Ultramarathon Man by Dean Karnazes Current reading (rereading, actually): "World War Z: An Oral History of the Zombie War" by Max Brooks Skim through when I'm on the shitter: The Huffington Post Complete Guide to Blogging
  13. I totally missed out on the last challenge (boo!), but I'm going to miss the opportunity this time around. Here are my goals: -Get down to 225 pounds (as of today I'm at 237) -Run 50 miles (I have a marathon in October, I need to get on the ball with the training) -Strength training AT LEAST three days a week (Hopefully by the end I'll maybe actually LIKE doing it too...) Before pic is comin'. Updates will be between here and my blog (265andfalling.com). Best of luck to everyone!
  14. Pretty much just a running n00b, but I think the best advice would be to just keep going at it. Maybe use google maps and plot out a 3.12 mile path around your neighborhood you could try running? Congrats on the 5k, thats still a pretty awesome time, I think.
  15. I think it was just my work computer, at home and things seem to be working fine. Phew!
