  1. Headed out of town this weekend, so I'm going to try to get everything done in 6 days. It's going to be a big whirlwind of running, reading, and acupuncture needles.
  2. Week 1 1. Activity Attend yoga class once a week-Done! 1/4 Do push-ups 3 days per week- Got through the first 2 days of 100 pushup training. Had to repeat on of the days twice! 3/ 12 Run 25 miles per week- Missed my long run yesterday (but made it today). 18.5/100 Speed work every Tuesday- Didn't do it. Was feeling puckered! 0/4 Trail Running-Didn't make it this week. 0/4 2. Eat Paleo diet- Made it every day except Friday. 6/28 (on break from MFP) 3. Relax Meditate 5 x 10 minutes per week-Done. 5/20 Acupuncture 2 x per week- Done! 2/8 Take herbs at least 2x per day- Saying fuck it to the herbs. Made it to day 3, and they really hurt my stomach. Yucko. /28 Sauna- None yet. 0/2 4. Learn Learn Japanese- Watch 2 Japanese films or TV shows per week- Watched the Japanese version of "Terrace House," which was really bizarre (but I'm sure American version is weird too). Also watched a short show called "Midnight Diner," really really cute and I recommend it. 2/8 Make a list of 20 Japanese vocabulary words, and memorize it. Formulating the list- packing it with ingratiating phrases. I do want them to like me. (in progress) /1 Read "Purple Cow"- 0/1 Read "Contagious" - 0/1

  6. Hi! I've been working with a meditation goal for 4 months. Would like to restart this thread, if anyone else is interested. I have sincerely enjoyed reading what you all have written before, and thank you very much for sharing so many great resources. I use Headspace, has anyone else tried it?

  8. *** Updated goals to push-up 3 days per week instead of 5. Also downloaded the 100 pushup challenge... Yeah right!! But I did do 12 today. Never say never. Also had a minor success... dragged out the old convention outfit yesterday, that I haven't worn since December. I clearly remember it being tight back then, but yesterday my pants were falling down a bit! Lucky thing I wore my good undies.

  10. Hi there! Welcome to the scouts, and great start. Each person has their own "right" way of doing things, and you just have to try a couple of goal styles before you know what you need. Sometimes newcomers find process goals to be the easiest- in other words, for goal #4, how will you defeat doms? Or for #5, you might commit to a certain amount of time per day or per week with your daughter's homeschooling, on which you grade yourself weekly. Otherwise, definitely on the right track!!   12. You can always make friends in other forums and bring them home for a tour. We welcome visitors! But yeah, it's a bit quiet over here.
