  1. Yo. I made a thread for journal writing prompts. You're welcome to join!
  2. Is keeping a journal part of your goals? Looking for camaraderie, inspiration, or simply something to write about? Well, you've come to the write place! Directions: 1) Introduce yourself 2) Tell us your favorite writing prompt. 3) (OPTIONAL) Share!
  3. Got a really busy week at work. At least 3 people are getting moved out of my department and I have the joy and privilege of doing all their work, which means nights and weekends. My strategy is to save the fun stuff for night time so that I don't feel bad about all the extra hours, but still... It blows. I hope it won't affect my goals too much. In fact, I hope my goals will support my busy work life... but we'll see.
  4. Thanks. I feel really awesome about it. You can do it!!! Stick with it, you'll get there. Great minds think alike, better-than-average. Thanks, it was awesome! Actually no races planned at this point, but anything's possible. Maybe I'll race something 5-50 k.
  5. Nice goals! Where shall journey to this quarter? Sent from my P027 using Tapatalk
  6. Yeah, same here. My issue is getting in to the habit of doing it. I need to get better about that.
  7. Welcome to the scouts! I'll be interested to see your training plan, once you have it.
  8. Happy New Year!!!! It's 2018, and anything is possible. For me, 2017 was a great year for running. I ran 5 half marathons, 1 full marathon, and a total of 1000 miles. I feel really good about that! So much bling: Because, what else do you do with medals, aside from posting them on the internet? In continuation with my fitness streak, these are my goals for the challenge: 1) Eat, drink, sleep, and exercise. I've been using the Fitbit app to keep track of these things. 10,000 steps, at least 5 days per week. 2 L water per day. 7 h sleep per night, with a 10 pm regular bed time. Eat at a deficit: 1500-1700 calories per day. 2) Meditate daily, 10 minutes. This is something I've gotten out of the habit of doing, but I need to keep at it. I want to meditate 5 days per week! 3) Write in journal 5 x per week. Take the icky thoughts, put them in my journal. That's it! Good luck, every body.
  9. Beaux objectifs! Bonne chance!
  10. Yessss. Really thoughtful list of goals. Good luck!
  11. Following for the journaling goal! I have one, too. Good luck with your challenge!
  12. When I think of bulking, I have this wonderful idea that it means eating unlimited cheese burgers, pizza, and ice cream. Please let me down easy if I'm wrong. Anyway, it will be nice to have a strong man around here among all the lean enduro scouts.
  13. I do the same thing as you-- Slow running for the first 1 k or so to warm up. Really sorry about your knee pain. That's no fun, but it sounds like to did the right thing by slowing down instead of pushing through the pain. Anyway, keep it up!
  14. Agghh! Darned cutoffs. Well, sounds like it was a good time, anyway. I'm sure you'll get it next time.
  15. This is a hilarious fact! You broke the nerd scale! (Is that actually "the balance?" Ahhhh gawwwrd. )
  16. Ahhh, crap. I just figured out I'm more of a geek then a nerd. Should probably be posting on Geek Fitness instead.
  17. Welcome back! Very nice goals. Hmmm... I should probably try out some of those knee exercises. Thanks for sharing. Absolutely! A 10 k is just a hop, skip and a jump away from a half marathon. Totally doable.
  18. Welcome to the scouts! You have very impressive running experience. Your 24 h race story is very inspiring! Your goals look great-- Good luck!
  19. I have just 30 miles before I reach the 1000 mile mark for 2017! One goal! Onnnne goooooaaaaallll!
  20. You are an incredible beast!! That's going to be amazing!
  21. I have the same problem... I get involved in a good book, or game, and then I stop sleeping. Sometimes, life is too fun! How did this week go?
