Emmm... Soooo...
Fell off the horse for two weeks! I did a great job cleaning, jogging, and working out, but didn't write in my journal or do any self care activities. Also, fewer smoothies than planned.
But there's still another week to get it in! Planning to make a strong comeback.

How was your second week? Did you stay on track with the schedule?
Medium! Thanks for asking.

Oooo a huffy... Was it pink? Sounds like A+ sheeeet.
The front wheel is missing, several of the cables were in bad shape, and it was a cheap Huffy to begin with. I ended up scrapping the scrap metal too. I did some math and research and I had about $5 of metal. I probably would have spent that on gas. -
I did two inversions sessions last week-- Better luck this week.

Week 1 Update
Goal 1: Follow the schedule.
Cleaning - Pretty good. I didn't clean that much this week, but looking around right now I know it's cleaning day and my house doesn't look like a total sty, so I feel successful.
Working out - Kept up with my strength goals. Went to 2 yoga classes during the week, and another one today. I'd say, success.
Goal 2: Smoothie/MFP
Aced it! Currently my favorite smoothie recipe is spinach, vega, blueberry, turmeric, and ginger. Ridiculously good.
I've also been calorie cutting, eating 1450-1700 calories a day. It's going good, and I've lost some weight-- 3.7 lbs this week! Not bad at all.
Goal 3: Journaling
Just reviewed and I only see 3/5 entries, so there's definitely room for improvement there. Could probably do a better job of finding writing prompts, and also setting a designated time to do it.
Goal 4: Self care
Saw that I was missing something for this week and just scheduled an acupuncture apt for later today, so there you go. Under the wire.

Anyone else having a hard time convincing their partner that a watch is a great investment and essential to keep up new habits ;-)?
For my partner, it's the one accessory he can give me for any occasion that he knows I'll like, so he's totally on board with it.

A free bike?? Score! What's wrong with it?

Good job on increasing your distance!! You know, the difference between 7.7 k and 10 k is only... 2.3 k. You can do it!!!!

Yeah. How does week 1 feel?

Nice goals!! Running is great therapy for after work, I do that too. Good luck with your challenge!

Welcome back. Those seem like great goals! I am a fan of your meditation goal, especially. Good luck!

Good luck with your challenge! How much do you run per week?
Thanks! It varies. Right now, I average 18-25 miles per week. I also trade off with the elliptical when I feel a bit ache-y.

I love your cleaning schedule! I need to do something like that soon! With both me and my wife working (and she works a split shift), plus four kids, the house always looks like a tornado just swept through the place!
Yeah! It's a balance. You want to have a clean house without spending your life cleaning. 4 kids tho... That's really great!

Challenge 21
Could be the weather change, or routine change, but I've been feeling a little off recently. To attempt to fix this, I've been been doing a lot of yoga and writing in my journal. This seems to help. In addition, I'd like to incorporate more fresh food in my diet, and smoothies seem like the easiest option. Moreover, I want to continue with the cleaning schedule I worked with last challenge.
Goal 1: Follow the workout and cleaning schedule. This schedule is a work in progress, but I'll post it here as a starting point.
Sunday Monday Tuesday Wednesday Thursday Friday Saturday WorkoutBikeride Run/Gym Run Run/Gym Run Run/Gym Yoga BW-Lower body/core Yoga BW- Upper body/core Yoga Yoga/Run/Rest CleaningLaundry Litter Box Kitchen Litter Box Trash Laundry Vacuum Cleaning: Other Vacuum Vacuum Bathroom Bathroom Litter Box Kitchen Trash Goal 2: Track food in MFP. Drink one smoothie a day.
Goal 3: Write in journal, ideally every day but I'd accept 5/7 days.
Goal 4: Other self care activities-- Acupuncture, sauna, dancing, tea, kirtan... Do once a week, at least.
No strict grading this time. I will report back to keep a log of how it goes.

Hi all, popping back in after a long time. Decided it is once more time to try and be healthy but without the day-to-day worry of counting calories and constantly failing to meet targets or be disappointed if the scale doesn't move. I do think a bit of community support and accountability would be a good thing so trying to find that here!
Welcome back!!! -
Okay okay!!! Week 4! Here we go...
I'm adding to my goals-- smoothies! Need more of those. So, going to make smoothies for lunch and snack. Do I have ingredients? You bet, tons! It's just a matter of assembling them at the right times.
Everything else going well. House is moderately clean, workouts happening... And I even made it to yoga yesterday! Hope to attend at least one other class this week.- 1

Glad the podcast method worked for you! Good luck crushing it week 4!

I did some searching for you, but I will openly admit that I hate swimming... But anyway, here's a free 70.3 training plan, cause I love plans. http://www.triathlete.com/2010/09/training/super-simple-ironman-70-3-triathlon-training-plan_12364Triathalon sometime next year (depends on when my work schedule allows). I can't* commit enough time to training to run a full Ironman, but I think a half-Ironman is reasonable for where I am right now.
* Technically, I could, but there are things I judge to be more important that I'm spending that time on instead.
I also poked around in the forums a bit and literally found nothing to help you, so... Guess you're going where no nerd has gone before.
