  1. thanks everyone for your responses. just didn't want it to be detrimental
  2. hurt my back. think i lifted wrong during a deadlift!!! i've been resting up but sticking with eating better. when the rest is over i'm back at it
  3. bad day today. popped to gym before work, 5am to be exact. struggled to motivate myself but did some weights and 5 minutes on the heavy bag, as well as sit ups and push ups. TIRED!! plus i ate a couple of cup cakes. one of the guys left our office today.
  4. Hi everyone. any ideas about whether or not there's a bad time to train in a 24hr day? i'm working shifts and sometimes go to the gym after midnight. any ideas?
  5. anyone know if there are times at the gym that should be avoided?
  6. don't look backwards. you know where you've been. look forwards, to the future, to change. embrace it
  7. sticking to eating diary. sticking to exercise. feeling better on course to lose 1 stone
  8. sticking to the eating plan is making exercising feel really tough going at the moment but i will stick at it. treadmill still broken. 5 minutes on heavy bag this morning, followed by a combination of sit ups, press ups and reverse sit ups. another attempt at pull ups has inspired me. that bar is getting close enough to kiss!!! three sets of dead lifts, 3 sets of shoulder presses, 3 sets bench press. 1st weigh in since starting. 15st 1lb 4oz. that for me is nice and steady. PLEASE AS PUNCH
  9. i would suggest concentrating on what you'll achieve and how good you'll feel afterwards. also try to breath as deep as possible. shallow breathing can bring on panic through a restriction of oxygen intact. just take your time. you'll be fine
  10. so all in all i think this week so far has been successful, apart from the poxy treadmill breaking at the gym, guess i can always put one foot in front of the otehr in the great outdoors!!! FEELING GOOD ABOUT THE CHALLENGE
  11. dragged my sorry arse out of bed early this morning to try and do something at the gym prior to work. still aching from yesterday but still determined. treadmill is currently out of action, (hopefully not due to my recent efforts)!! managed 3 sets of squat thrusts 3 sets leg raises 3 sets of sit ups 3 sets of reverse sit ups 3 minutes on the rowing machine 5 minutes on the bike and some half arsed attempted pull ups- Mini challenge now decided. i want to be able to do a proper pull up by the end of this challenge
  12. good stuff mate. family responsibility can sometimes give you the kick in the ass to motivate yourself
  13. sounds like a plan. thanks. am i doing this the right way? as i'm new to it i'm not sure whether i should just be doing my own thing or working to a generic goal
  14. i'm in England so although i spend time on Paleo websites i think i'm gonna struggle with a meal plan. maybe need to have a day cooking and freezing it up for the week. Any ideas?
  15. i have to agree with you on that one. stick at it you seem like you've started well
