  1. World Peace and Success for everyone - Neither are impossible.

  2. I am an absolute amateur at Yoga - My experience include's roughly 2 years of attempting yoga routines on my Wii Fit balance board, on and off - never on a consistent basis. Most recently, my experience has been with p90x's Yoga routine, which is a lot more intense. One thing I like about doing yoga on the Wii,Balance Board, is that is measures my center of balance and can track, to a certain degree of accuracy, the form i am using or shifting my weight properly. I have noticed however, that when I do certain poses the way the instructor on p90x says to do it, on a Wii Balance Board, it says my balance is off, or I am using the wrong form. Which is a more accurate, in telling me what the correct form is. I am eager to learn more yoga, as I believe it will help with my posture (something that is drastically needed), and I have a strong hypothesis that it can make improvements to my golf game. Does anyone else have an experience like that, using yoga to make improvements in other areas such as sports?
  3. I have been told by a few to read it as well - however, I have also been told that some of his methods are outdated. Ferris has a blog though, I read it from time to time.

  5. Intro: I am new to this forum – but it seems like a perfect fit to help me achieve some aggressive life and fitness goals. I look forward to meeting everyone in this community, and sharing ideas and progress as I try and improve who I am. About My Regimen: My training is about fitness as well as lifestyle changes – to grow in areas of athleticism, intelligence, and business acumen. I plan on improving in those three areas of my life, by implementing a system of achievements, or tracking my goals out in an RPG style system of milestones, that must be achieved in order for my character (me) to grow. I came across this method, when reading about the progress principal, on the website’s blog. After skimming that article – I realized that I do have an addiction or even an endorphin rush when I unlock an achievement when playing video games, or if I level up my player in an RPG. Long story short – progress can be fun and addicting. In the past, sticking to goals I had set for myself was challenging. I believe this new system of turning my goals into achievements, much like in a video game, will make the experience much easier for me. Long Term Goals: 1. Fitness: To be 9-12% body fat, strong enough to do 50 pull-ups, and have visible abs. A careful knowledge of plyometric exercise (endurance), martial arts (speed), yoga (flexibility), and parkour (free running) must be mastered in the pursuit of these goals. 2. Intelligence: Get into a top ranked graduate school for business and learn 2-4 new languages. 3. Business Acumen: Make a 6 figure annual income via my entrepreneurial ventures, as well as become more fiscally responsible and aware. Implementation: 1. Leveling Up: · Fitness: i. 6. Brief Intro: Who Am I? Male, Late 20's, USA.Fitness Goals? To have ninja-like athleticism - and to become a student of Yoga, Parkour (free running), and some form or martial arts - none of which I have any experiance. Why NerdFitnessRebellion?I Love Forums. I am always wasting time on them, so I might as well join a community of people with similar interests as me, and who also have fitness goals.I am a Nerd. Nerd Quirks include: Video Gaming, Watching Ted Talks, lectures, and documentaries, and (if you haven't guessed) I'm a big Star Wars fan.I hope this community can help me stay focused on my goals - but also, hope to meet other people similar to me that I can also help stay motivated with their fitness or even to befriend some other nerds.Whats with the Name? Vash the Stampede, while on the run from the law or being captured, always tries to promote peace and non-violence no matter where he goes - despite being a powerful humanoid typhoon that could kill and destroy everyone (told ya i was a nerd). I like to always keep a philosophy of non-violence everywhere i go as well, and I think its important, especially in today's society, that everyone keep peace and non-violence in there conscious - and we all behave benevolently towards each other. This is why I chose to adopt the name Vash the Stampede as my screen name. Those of you unfamiliar can read about him on wikipedia, or watch the trigun series.
