  1. I was really hoping for at least a gif of a dinosaur dancing or something!
  2. Following!!!! I might be able to offer some advice for the work dinners, our cooking facilities at work (back when I was working) consisted of just a microwave and a kettle! What cooking implements do you have in your kitchen (job, oven, broiler, slow cooker etc) and do you have much space in your freezer?
  3. @JustCallMeAmber Thanks got the response. Wow, you get so much more sleep than me! I couldn’t find the ‘benchmark’ thing, but i did find more info about how it records sleep. Apparently if your Fitbit tracks your heart rate then it can show you your sleep cycles.... I’m using a Fitbit Flex 2, which doesn’t have that function so the data is less accurate. I actually do have a Fitbit that does measure your heart rate so i might try wearing that for a few nights to see if it gives me more information.
  4. Does anyone else track their sleep (using an activity tracker) and would you be willing to share your sleep data? I am really struggling with tiredness right now and I think it’s the volume of deep sleep vs restless sleep that’s the issue for me. I’m in bed by 10:15 - 10:30 each evening, which is the time that leads me to getting off to sleep quickly and easily, but my sleep data looks like a Tesco’s barcode. It would be really interesting to see how other people’s sleep compares. I will try to post some pics of my sleep record but Tapatalk has been playing up and refusing to upload my images for some reason....
  5. I disagree. You can get ripped and have some serious muscle mass with bodyweight exercises, just look at @Waldo if you want confirmation of that. It all comes down to progression. You might never build the kind of muscle mass that a strongman or powerlifter might have, but you definitely CAN build muscle.
  6. Way to go! Have you though about what you want to do next challenge?
  7. I still feel that 4 weeks isn’t enough to really build a new habit. Back in the day* the challenges were six weeks long and a LOT of people would experience a wobble around week 4. Keeping going for another 2 weeks really helped to get back on track and cement the habit. That’s why a lot of people start their challenge in zero week instead of taking time to rest in between. * and now I feel old. “Hey kids, get off my lawn!!!!!”
  8. Yaaaaaaaaaaay!!!! Welcome back!!!!!!! I'm rushing off to bed right now, gotta keep up with my goals, lol! I just happened to see your pic and had to come and say “hi”. I’ll msg you tomorrow
  9. **runs off to find John McEnroe gif**.
  10. Sorry to hear that things have been rough, fingers crossed this challenge helps.
  11. Oh my gosh, sugar is such a hard thing to give up (but so worth it!!!). As a recovering (recovered?) sugarholic I can honestly say that once you stop eating the stuff, and get over the withdrawal, it kinda becomes easy (I hardly ever eat sweet stuff these days). It’s getting to that point that’s the hard part. Here to cheer you on through the sugar cravings.
  12. Ooooh, I’ve been meaning to try that for a while, must have a go.
  13. A biologist, an engineer, and a mathematician were observing an empty building. They noted two people entering the building and sometime later observed three coming out. The biologist remarked, “Oh, they must have reproduced.” The engineer said, “Our initial count must have been incorrect.” The mathematician stated, “Now if one more person goes into the building, it will be completely empty.”
  14. Apparently it’s “inappropriate” to make a dad joke unless you’re actually a dad.... It’s a real faux pa
  15. What do you call a man who can’t stand?
  16. I’m in a similar position. I want to eat less animal products (but not cut them out entirely) and my bf is ok with eating *some* veggie/vegan meals, but he’d prefer to keep more meat in his diet than I’m aiming for. I have a fair few veg/vegan recipes that he enjoys but I also make meals where all the components are laid out and you build your meal at the table. This works really well with things like tacos, fajitas, wraps, salads, etc. A couple of us were thinking of doing a plant-based PVP during the next challenge if you’d be interested?
  17. Ugh man! That was a busy few weeks! I was home for 10 days, plus the two overnight ferry journeys, and brought my little brother back with me for a weeks holiday in Shetland. Our house is already far too small for our family, there was definitely no room for a houseguest so we rented a holiday home in Lerwick for a week. My brother has Asperger’s and his behaviour can be quite.... frustrating at times, but he’s a lovely guy. It did however mean that I was really busy and didn’t exactly get much done. I’m now really pushed to get my final submission done for my course, but I just can’t find any willpower/motivation to do it. I should have had a whole day yesterday to work on it but I have been so exhausted lately and ended up sleeping most of the day. Not good. Challenge wise, I’ve not been keeping tabs. Going to bed on time and waking up early are completely solid, so I don’t need to work on that anymore, and I’ve been physically active. The problem has been studying and keeping a schedule. I’ve sucked donkey balls at that. [emoji20] I drove the transit van when I went to the mainland and it ran as sweet as a nut the whole time, right up until we were 15 miles from the ferry terminal on the way home when the big end went.* We managed to nurse it all the way to the ferry and then drive 5 miles home without it conking out and sold it for £250 to a guy who will stick a new engine in it. He tried to drive it away and literally got to the end of our street before the engine seized! [emoji3][emoji3][emoji3] Thank God we made it home, lol! * Transit vans are known as “trannys” in the UK, so I can now legitimately say that I’ve blown a 12yo tranny. [emoji14] I know there was lots of stuff I was going to post about, but my brain is like pea soup and I’m struggling with writing anything so I’m going to go drink some coffee and see if that revives me. To be honest I’ve been struggling with concentration and memory for so long now, and it makes it really difficult to post on here... I just can’t seen to think of what I want to say. I feel very boring and lacklustre. I sincerely hope this improves with time. [emoji20]
  18. Wow, that was a LOT to catch up on! It it sounds like things are progressing nicely, fingers crossed that everything goes well when you come to do the A100 itself. How long is it to go now?
  19. Wow! That’s amazing!!! Way to go!!! I've been AWOL for a couple of weeks whilst I’ve been on holiday so had a fair bit of catching up to do. Gotta day, the picture of you and the dog (sorry, forgot his name) is so freaking cute!!! Probably not the look you were aiming for, lol, but it is.
  20. Hey! How are you doing now?
  21. Woohoo!!! This is so great, I’m sorta at the same point right now so “yay” for both of us!
