  1. Kelly Starrett is the man. I need to get off my lazy butt and do these videos more often.
  2. Foam roller on the calfs helps me. I suffer from chronic ankle sprains. Might be different than your issues. Give it a shot though.

  5. Sometimes you need to think long term and give your body a break. Powering through injuires turns minor issues into chronic ones. I speak from experience there. Arg.
  6. If you want to play it safe, just do the exercise with the barbell for 10 reps. Then put on two 5 pound weights and do another 10 reps. Repeat until you start struggling with the weight. With that said, what the people said above would work.
  7. Thanks man! Pain cave is easy to go in. I am fighting it ever set in the gym and not always winning.
  8. One thing I always try to remember, that I read off Mark Twight's website, is the trailing knee must "kiss" the ground but may not support any weight.
  9. I tried day one of MOB yesterday. Really enjoyed it and was pretty surprised how the last 2 minutes were a challenge to stay in the squat position. Thanks for sharing this.

  11. I am eatting 4 times a day + nuts +protein shake. Problem is I need to be eatting more during these sittings. Thankfully my appetite is almost to where it was, in december, before I was sick. I've been given a lot of good ideas in this thread too. I'm on the right path. Hopefully I can push to my goal of being 160 to 165 by the end of this year.
  12. Today I learned about www.MyFitnessPal.com It helped me understand how many calories I was getting, and how much more I had to start cramming down to fuel Weight Gain of my own ;^)

  13. Good point. I never thought about having a protien shake with whole milk after a large meal. Seriously, such a good idea. The best ideas are the simple ones eh? I now feel silly for never thinking about doing this now! Seriously. Thanks.

  15. I should have been more clear. When I said safe, I meant I didn't want to take drugs that have bad side effects.
