  1. That is Awesome!! I am still alive and kicking, and while I feel I could have done far better with this challenge it feels great to be finishing. Here are my unofficial grades for the challenge: Calories - A I got an A in this one only because of an inadvertent loophole ( I meant to require more days of myself) but I left it all e after I noticed it because I needed the encouragement. Running - A I have missed only 2 runs during the 6 weeks, feeling pretty good about this one. Japanese - probably a C I never really got a good plan of study initiated and learned only 20 or so words. I
  2. Absolutely! Even if you (I) finish shy of our intended goals, finish nonetheless. The race is to the runner, and not those that sit on the sidelines so cross the finish line with me! We can all drag each other to the end
  3. Less than a mile each remains before us. Of course one person could do the 32.8 by themselves too... It seems like a team effort would be best though :-) Run Fellowship, Run! (or walk, or hike, you get the picture)
  4. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3L_eeL7kSdg Come on tributes, anybody out there still breathing? My own breath is coming in ragged tears, but I draw it still :-0 I ran week 4 day 2 today, didn't know if I could do 5 minutes at once, but it got done :-D
  5. 1.55 miles each to the very cracks of doom...
  6. Also if musical encouragement is of any use here is one of the songs from my running soundtrack :-)
  7. So, there is this video game that my daughter and I like to play together called Okami, if you are into JRPGs I highly recommend it if you haven’t tried it. (it is an older game but has been re-released on PSN for the PS3, and is available on the Wii). One of the main characters in the game is a guy by the name of Susano (in actual Japanese mythology it would have a lengthened “o†at the end but I digress) who’s only claim to fame is that his ancestor was a famous swordsman who slew a demon that was tormenting his village. Susano hides his ineptitude behind the screen of this great a
  8. Awesome, I put in 4 today and should be logging 8 - 12 more (my 10k program just keeps getting me to further and further) Shoulder your packs freinds I can smell the sulferous stench of our goal :-D
  9. At the risk of seeming to be a on trick pony (just call me Bill) we can make Mount Doom if we all do a little over 3 miles this week... :-D To the mountain of fire! Make haste companions 'tis but a little way!
  10. Checkin' it in for the start of week 4 Where I am doing well - Running! I have completed 9 runs so far in 10k runner and 2 in C25K (these two don't count toward this goal, I am running them with my wife in addition to my 10KR plan) I will start up week 4 Wednesday, and plan to run 4 days this week instead of my usual 3 to make up that last sick day. Calories! I am shooting for 16 -18 days during the challenge under 1560 and I am currently at 13 (14 after today) While the poundage is staying pretty level (slightly down) I lost another inch around the waist so I am going to chalk it up t
