Good job on that. The in-laws came over last night to see the kids costumes and catch up with us. They wanted to take us out to a pizza place. We asked if we can cook at home so it's a healthier option. They were surprised and gladly accepted. They said they wanted to take us out because they thought we enjoyed going to places like that. Well, yeah, we used to 7 years ago when we wouldn't get sick from eating that stuff...

And it happened in my office, which is the best home court advantage I can have. I have rearranged my office to put my visitors in uncomfortable situations (took out chairs for them to sit on, have to look at me with the window behind me so the sun shines on them and halos me, etc) and even though it's not sunny, it was still effective. Mostly because I was right, but also because you can't be defensive arguing with Goofy. My manager has already heard about what happened (both versions) and came and bought me a coffee. It's going to be a good day.

Nice. I'm Goofy today. Well, I'm dressed like Goofy today... Made yelling at my engineering department that much more humiliating.

I would think it would get easier the older you got. I would think people would mature and not play as many games, but I've been wrong before. I think the way to do it is being around a lot of people and just be friendly with them. You don't always have to have an ulterior motive with them. Building a relationship based on friendship is the way to go. MHO
