  3. 1/4/14 RFG Recruit - Workout A Superset (2 sets) | -Prisoner Squats - x12 | -Bent Over Dumbbell Row - x12/15lbs -Step-ups with knee - 2x12 -Military Press - 2x12/10lbs -Bird Dog - 2x10 -Reverse Crunch - 2x10 Notes: I've lost a lot of muscle tone and gained some weight, which isn't surprising given my poor diet and no exercise for the past 3 months. Could only do 2/3 sets this time, better than nothing but I'm a bit disappointed I slipped back so far. Making an effort to stay on board this time.
  4. So it's been slightly over two weeks since my last update. I haven't really stretched or exercised at all, apart from going hunting three times. Was out of town Fri-Sun on all weekends since last update. I ate really bad on those so I feel cheap not counting them. Going to count all other diet days as half completed, it might have been a bit more but it all balances. I probably won't pass this challenge, if I do it'll be by the skin of my teeth. Going to try anyway, get back in the habit. Anyways: -Read Into That Forest, giving me 6/6! Yay! -Worked out today
  5. 10/21/13 RFG Recruit - Workout A Superset (3 sets) | -Prisoner Squats - x12 | -Bent Over Dumbbell Row - x12/15lbs -Step-ups with knee - 3x12 -Military Press - 3x12/10lbs -Bird Dog - 3x10 -Reverse Crunch - 3x10 Notes: So... it's been a while since I've worked out. This wasn't as tough as I expected it to be, probably thanks to my two PFWs, but I was still pretty wiped by the last set. Here's to turning things around.
  6. Heck yes! So much more comfortable. Just need to make sure the windows are shut first >.>
  7. Good to see your progress and that you're back at it from being sick! Given that we're both kinda sucking on our goals (yours seem pretty unavoidable), do you want to hold off the wager until the next time around?
  8. Hah! Dude, you're kicking butt. My life goal is the only thing really going for me right now. NOOOOOOOO!!!! Don't do that to yourself! Calories and gastric distress await, do not choose this path. Challenge Update: -Did some brisk walking (2/4)
  9. Mixed blessing- the bus skipped my stop and the stop after, so I had to walk home.

  10. Challenge Update: -Did flexibility routine -Followed diet (3/6) Life Challenge Update: -Read Glitch by Heather Anastasiu (5/6)
  11. Challenge Update: -Did flexibility routine (1/5) -Followed diet (2/6) Ate a good chunk of a Blizzard yesterday -Went running (1/4) Life Challenge Update: -Read The Time Keeper by Mitch Albom (4/6)
  12. Ok, big update because I haven't been keeping up with this stuff. Last week I was super depressed and mostly sat around all day. For Sep 16-22, final count was: -Did flexibility routine (5/5) -Followed diet (4/4) One off day plus two out of town days -Exercised (3/4) Went hunting on Sunday -Life (3/6) Read I Wear the Black Hat by Chuck Klosterman For Sep 23-29, final count was: -Did flexibility routine (0/5) -Followed diet (6/6) -Exercised (0/4) Pretty terrible. At least I ate ok.
  13. 10/2/13 Zombies, Run! 5k Trainer 3.3 -4.3 km -43:07 minutes -10:02 min/km Notes: Felt pretty good, easier than I remembered. That's really awesome considering I haven't worked out the past week. Stretching helps a ton.
  14. Thanks Joe, you make me feel proud of myself Everybody has that one skill that they're super good at, reading is mine. It's not exactly the most interesting or cool but it is really useful. I've got this speed reading thing I can do which is super fast but it kills my head. Having parents that also took me to the library every week as a kid (to the one in the next town because up until last year ours sucked!) helped cultivate that skill and appreciation for books too. Sure thing! It takes me about 15 minutes to run through mine. Nice morning wake-up deal. Challenge Update: -Did flexibility routine (3/5) Notes: Never going for a walk without bugspray again. My arm is freaking lumpy. Stupid mosquitoes. Also, super hungry all the time now. It's insane. Need to work out tomorrow, I was planning to after class but I just came home and fell asleep. Still have time to do two more though.
  15. Nice work! Have you thought about picking up a pair of weightlifting gloves? Might help. You'll be able to support with the shoulder soon! Whenever you start getting antsy just think about how awful it would be to have to start rehabilitation work all over again.
