  1. Great work Wideeyed. Definitely have me motivated to kill week 2 since week 1 was not to great of a start with my foot. Looking forward to you slaying some more dragons this week. Glad your pup is recovered so you can have a walking partner again. I am looking forward to having my own four legged partner soon.
  2. Awesome Work Storm. Sri Lanka does sound like a lifetime adventure. You should have a blast. Keep it up...
  3. Melyssa, Keep at it girl. You are an inspiration and killed it the past week and today. I almost got tired from what was in your posts. Awesome work Jeffro
  4. Thanks for the birthday wishes. The weekend was spent resting my foot and getting my energy back. The foot has mostly healed now and I hope to be walking again by this next weekend. In the meantime, I have to start the beginner body workout regiment this week and will swim until I feel comfortable putting some distance on my foot again. I hope everyone has a good week!
  5. I am a photo-hiker. I take a ton of photos when I go on walks or hikes, especially to new areas. I plan to upgrade my camera eventually to a more professional one as I really enjoy photography as a growing hobby. Here is a set from a recent hike that had a surprise visit from a herd of Mustangs 3/4 of the way through... https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10201452491262079.1073741836.1469389891&type=1&l=4a30c1286e and another one along the Truckee River. https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10201435347633499.1073741835.1469389891&type=1&l=30cecf02ce
  6. Well it has been an interesting past few days.... Turns out the toe injury was an insect bite from a non-checked shoe in my closet before wearing it last weekend for a hike. 4 days of swelling and intense pain brought an ER visit Wednesday night. Now I am taking antibiotics like there is no tomorrow, but the foot now seems to be in recovery. Still a little pain around the area of the bite, but it is much better then not being able to walk on it like earlier this week. Check those shoes people before you put them on and make sure you don't have anything that crawled in there. Still have a few days I think before I can get back to fully flexing my foot once again. I have been bouncing off walls not being able to hike or walk this week, especially with the start of the challenge. I am in good spirits and I turned 41 today. Life is great despite the occasional bumps. Have a great weekend everyone.
  7. 41 Today... but feeling younger then I did last year. Yay Me!

  8. Day Two Stayed within my food guidelines today and tracked food accordingly. Still nursing the injured foot so I decided to swim today for a little exercise since I can't really fully walk yet. It does seem to be on the mends, so hopefully it will be better by the end of the week. Plan to do a Beginner Body Workout tomorrow minus anything that will impact my toes too much (Plank). Hope everyone has a great Wednesday.
  9. 7.30.13 Ogre Log Breakfast - Lo-Carb Yogurt & Protein Bar Lunch - Pork Rinds and Tuna Dinner - Arrrribbbaaa! 10. Great work so far Melyssa. Congrats on the no soda. I knocked out soda a long time ago. I drink unsweetened Ice Tea now. Keep it up... your start is inspiring to me as well as others.
  11. I know.. Just airing some personal frustration on my part. I am still focused and hoping the injury will recover soon.
  12. Awesome that you are kicking the cigarette habit. Good luck with the e-cig. Have a good week too.
  13. A limping start... but glad the challenge has started.

  14. Thanks for all the suggestions... Much appreciated.
