  1. Haha well I'm currently based in Berkshire but have been all over. Still go back to Bedford and to the mother in laws in Kent on a fairly regular basis. Antrim on a slightly less regular basis for obvious reasons (no not because it's Antrim, because the flights are expensive!)
  2. In the words of Dee Snyder "I WANNA ROCK!" Also for further encouragment "You can't stop Rock and ROLL!" Then to explain the above with Xzibit. "First we gonna ROCK, then we gonna Roll!" This is one eclectic radio station!
  3. If I had a badge (button) that said 'Badass!' on it. It would be yours!
  4. It's not a just doing yoga. Some of that stuff is really difficult and hurty. Plus a %age of bodyweight can be used. Injuries suck. As for your veg thing, Pretty sure this fortnight is yours to shine in!
  5. Congrats on the Zombie 5k! Having judged your crochet piece from the pictures provided, I reckon best in show! Seriously, it's awesome!
  6. Well I'm not sure on the interview. It's very strictly regimented so that no one can suggest foul play which means they have a list of standard questions and a list of answers. A lot of times I was asked for less detail in the technical questions as they just needed me to say one word so they could tick it off. Doesn't leave a lot to guess how I've done. Eh we shall see. Will hopefully find out the end of the month. Went to the gym last night and wow everything was heavy. That's what comes of only taking a mild dose of weakness vaccinations over the past two week. Worked up to 110kg repping for 5 and by the second set of 110kg I missed reps and felt like throwing up, my chest was pounding, my head was spinning, I couldn't lower my pulse inbetween sets. It was horrible. I dropped back down to 100kg and got through reps but wow. I could definitely feel poor form so I guess I need read up again, work out what I'm forgetting to remember. Rows after were a nightmare and OHP I had to keep at a low weight. Basically the iron kicked my arse. Went through some pulls/chins/dips with the assistance machine and hit a run. The run felt so good. I was properly in the zone. I didn't feel tired, I wasn't breathy I was just going. Zoom zooom! then after a mile or so my knee started hurting. I think the running was a bad idea really but I like it (who am I?) Got some rolling going on with the legs. I think knee is a mix of overuse, tight IT bands, over-pronantion of the right foot (causing the overuse) and how my foot pivots between the break and the accelerator in the car. I'll try resting it a bit longer because I think before the walk it was getting better and the barefoot running is making amends to the overpronation. I've also really cut down miles driving of late so that should help. Failing that there's a soft tissue advice line through work I can ring.
  7. Wondering if you have an amazon gift list so I can send it to you!
  8. I have last weeks to watch still. I will be trying to fit them in still!
  9. Thanks! It's with the same employer. Hopefully leading to a promotion on authorisation within the new roles. I'm hoping to get on shift so I don't have to do days any longer. This is the first job where I've really had to do 9-5 type days and I hate it. Gimme shift any day! The horse's name is trigger and he pulls the fastest milkcart in the west!
  10. Yeah, I was hoping for an awesome session and a big long..."Would I let you down?" speech. I'm still at work at the minute though. My car is coming to me late back from a service. Not gonna have time for all that gyming with the interview prep. My bad I left it too late. I'll go tomorrow though. Work off post interview exhaustion!
  11. Can't say it better than Lt Laurel so wont. That.
  12. Yeah, might want to look at stringing a cable across just in front of the fence and putting some old curtains on it. Please be very careful about fences. Wooden fences may not stop an arrow (some bosses I've shot on haven't stopped my arrows where they'd gone soft. Pass throughs are very annoying!) You can get arrow straighteners if it's not badly damaged. It wont shoot properly with a bend and might always be a little off. Plus pictures of bow pls!
  13. Uh-mazing! Will be showing a friend (she has all the squid/cthulu clothes in the world.)
  14. I'm all about this. As for the real life crap, good luck with it. We're here if you do ever want to speak about it and forget small wins, you're kicking ass on your challenge!
  15. What does your eating plan look like? Have you looked at programming for powerlifting? (I'm sure Mir and her warriors will help in exchange for cat pictures)
  16. Got to decide whether or not to go to the gym tonight. I tend to get back at just before 10ishand after a shower, drying the hair, cup of redbush etc etc it tends to be about 11:30 by the time I get to bed. Usually too late but I tend to take a while to come down from the gym. Tomorrow I have an hour long job interview, just after lunch. I think I'm going to be very tired. So I'm not sure whether I should go or not. That being said I'm away on Weds night so I should probably go. I could go Tuesday I guess or just man up!
  17. Sounds like you're ready to kick ass! Welcome! (Subbing from Browncoats)
  18. You say "Permission to come aboard" The captain says "Aye!" and you get on board!
  19. Yes, no one I spoke to knows what terns is all about. The river is pronounces "Tems" though slightly breathy on the T. There is a village in Berkshire called Thame though which is said "Taym" I grew up around an American Air Force base which was closed at the end of the cold war. The American's were always overly polite and on their best behaviour, even when sneaking into the brothel. I think they were probably cautioned with this. Where as our Squaddies tend to be more of a case of lock up your women and remove the pool cues.Which I imagine is how American troops are at home anyway.
  20. http://hardscrabblefarm.com/ww2/britain.htm So I found this and love it. I thought it might aid understanding within the community even this long after it's production. I would also add that the sign a Briton likes you is when he starts offending you. In fact I'd go so far as to say despite the included sense that American's believe the British to be polite, being as offensive as humanly possible to your friends is a popular British past time.
  21. Irishmen and Britons? Also Lapsang Sou is all the MIL drinks. I even hate the smell of it. It's like a burning clutch!
  22. Fairy lights and cardboard pokeballs. Got to be.
  23. If you read the letter, you'll understand you are either American or unsound of mind. As you're clearly the latter I thought it polite to call you the former...or something to that effect. #Save! #ThreadHiJack
  24. No, you got it all wrong. Mid challenge is when you look at half the challenge behind you, work out what you did wrong, what you need to do right to make the end of the challenge and how you're gonna start applying win to the next challenge! It's a sign that says exit in 3 weeks, so now it's time to look at looserville in the rear-view, pull into the lane for the winstown turnoff and think about the direction when you get to the exit.
