  1. For some reason, I have always considered BCAA's as not breaking a fast as others have suggested. I always consume my BCAA's before a fasted workout. I should try it without, but it's so far in my head at this point that I'm not sure I could do it.
  2. My process is simple here. I try to train just as hard regardless of if I'm bulking vs cutting. I just watch my calories. I'm bulking right now so Im destroying the calories. This is why it's impossible to bulk and trim at the same time.
  3. I love learning languages. I picked up Polish by always being around it. I have since gone on to travel to Poland alone where I forced myself to only speak Polish. My next language is Spanish. Many of you guys have mentioned the popular apps. I'm a fan of Duolingo because it's interactive. However, NOTHING beats full immersion. You need to surround yourself with that language!
  4. Not safe -- if you can't handle the weight. Check your ego and find a weight that you can control. You will be safe!
  5. It always depends on your goals and what you're more likely to do. I have friends that hate the gym and the whole atmosphere, so they stick to workouts like p90x. For me, it depends on my situation. When I'm traveling, I may not be able to find a gym, so I stick to bodyweight stuff similar to p90x.
  6. I love this program. Have you considered throwing in some martial arts training the mix?

    Fish Oil?

Fish oil is one of the supplements that I can't live without (well I can, but you know what I mean). Fish Oil and vitamin D is amazing for recovery and your overall happiness. There's nothing more important than feeling good in my books.
  8. Honestly. There is no easy answered. I have covered the topic of freelancing to death. I don't want to post any unsolicited links. I will just say this though. Can you think of a skill that you posses that others desire? This could be anything. Even the ability to speak English! Freelancing is the best way to get started. The startup costs are ZERO.
  9. I hope you had enough steak for all of us. Sounds like a blast.
  10. Same advice I gave my younger brother before he became bigger than me (yikes!): perform the main lifts (squats, deadlift, bench press) and eat crap loads of good food. Good things will happen. You will feel amazing. I wish I was in your spot right now. Getting started is the best part!
  11. I live in Canada. It doesn't get any colder. You can get your Paleo food no problem. You just have to vary it up sometimes. That is all.
  12. Good luck on the 50 consecutive pushups and killing addiction to sugar. There's just something so awesome about pushups. You can do them anywhere you are at any time. No limits. I love them.
  13. Coffee. 10 grams of BCAA. Boom!
  14. Let's be honest. Many protein bars are glorified candy bars. Excellent cheat day food. With that being said, it beats scarfing down a protein bar if it prevents you from pigging out on Burger King.
  15. I'm in Toronto. Shoot me a message if you're close by.
