  1. I've been doing fantastic with one of my goals, and terrible with the other two!!! *__* I've fell off my Paleo wagon a good few times, but happily there was a wonderful person here on Nerd Fitness to support me and get me back on track again! I'm still going to finish up my 6 week challenge, even if two out of three of my goals haven't turned out so great. For the next challenge I'll know to reduce my goals a little, I think I may have made them a little big to start off with!
  2. Thank you! ^__^ yes they are lovely and tastey!!! thank you for the great support
  3. hmmm STILL haven't gotten to exercising... this is ridiculous..but I am always exhausted when I get home. My house is also a bloomin' wreck because I'm too exhausted to clean it.... BUT I have discovered something very interesting!!! I've borrowed a blender off my mother and have been experimenting with green smoothies. Last Friday, I had a longer work day than usual. I took my green smoothie along to give it a go. Amazingly, just drinking it slowly kept me full for such a long time!! AND I seemed to have a higher level of energy than usual. I didn't collapse in a heap on the couch when I got home! SO I'm going to keep working the green smoothie's into my diet. I generally have a lovely protien rich breakfast, so that plus a fancy green smoothie drank throughout the day keeps me going till lunch. I've managed to keep going with the my fitness pal so that's not too bad I'm just going to keep trucking ahead, no matter what happens. I want to see how this all goes
  4. thanks a million!! I'll give her a look in! And eat before hand!!
  5. thank you so much! I really need to get a food processor!! *__* I have a blender alright though. So halfway there!!!
  6. Thank you.... I'm definitely still in! Just finding it a wee bit of a struggle lately. I didn't realize my goals were massive!! I thought I'd be able for exercise three times a week but it's been so crazy at work, by the time I get home I'm totally exhausted. I read Steve's article, but it was a long time ago!! I'll go back and read it again. I think I might give the beginner bodyweight workout a go and see how that goes! thanks again
  7. Fell off the bandwagon super duper big time! Still eating my paleo diet, but on Thursday cracked under stress and bought myself a chinese.... then yesterday still super stressed, I bought some crisps and a bar of chocolate...... I need to find a way to deal with my stress!!! Also can't get myself to exercise for love nor money due to exhaustion when I get home from work... wonder if the paleo is making me tired...?
  8. hey there, thanks so much! I'll have a look and see if I can get some info on the homemade Larabars
  9. duuuude. Week two into my challenge and I've re-gained two lbs from the 3 lbs I lost last week, due to an impromtu wedding invitation. Back to the drawing board young lady!!

  10. Hello there! Just wondering if anyone has any simple recipes for Paleo bars? Basically I just need something during the day at work that I can snack on (along with a small bit of fruit I take). Or even just for a treat now and again, as I understand nuts can be quite fatty. I was looking at some wonderful recipes online, but most of them called for almond butter, which is kind of hard / expensive to get over here in Ireland. Also to be quite honest, I live in a small town in the middle of nowhere and was extremely lucky to be able to get a tub of coconut oil!! I have lots of basic ingredients to work with, so keeping it simple is best with me So, anyone have any other solutions? any help would be appreciated thank you! - Dagger.
  11. hmm okay so today wasn't so bad! Finished under my calorie goal on fitness pal and managed to stick mostly to Paleo all week, except for a wedding I attended. Unfortunately, only worked out once this week. Was supposed to be three times. So, have to try to push myself harder for next week. In life goals, I did start a new study, which is great! I have to have two done by the end of the six week challenge, so better keep at it!!
  12. Wow!! I never thought of it that way!! Thank you kindly That really made me look at it in a different light!! you're awesome!!
  13. well, even though I did lose weight again this week, I think I'm gonna have to give myself a very low score for this week!!! I stuck to my diet all week, except for yesterday when I went to a wedding, and I ended up eating more than usual, and this included a dessert and huge cupcake which was not paleo!! Also, I was over-excited about my first excercise session the other day, and I think I ended up pulling a muscle in my back... so I'm skipping todays excercise, which means I may only get two workout sessions in this week... we'll see what happens
  14. Had a weigh in today, lost me 3.6lbs this week! Now, I started this challenge on Monday, but this is my third week of eating paleo and I've lost... *drumroll* 9.8lbs in the three weeks!!! *____* I've even been stuffing myself with fruit!!! Delighted
  15. Well, today went quite good too! clocked everything up in my fitness pal. didn't go over my calories, and managed to get a 20 minute workout in and then an unexpected 60 minute walk by the sea shore! And I even managed to go to work and do some voluntary work for the genealogy group I'm part of AND get an hour's nap!! Super cave woman or what?
