  1. Thanks, that's a good point about making the 3rd one more measurable. I think allowing 1 small bar of dark chocolate to spread across the week, as a little goes a long way, and 1 cheat per week to allow for things like birthdays or dessert for a special meal out ought to cover it, that way it's not deprivation but about making better choices the rest of the time. Go beyond that or catch myself snacking when I don't need to and I'll start dropping grades. I climb with a club at work so they'll keep me motivated for that, will be trying out some different apps for tracking the gym. I'll be on holiday for 1 week of the challenge so the gym will be replaced with bike rides while I'm away. Fairly new gym-goer, so make them all = A, 2 per week = B, 1 per week = C, otherwise F. Soda's a tricky one though, while I'd like to go cold turkey it's the social situations that are likely to trip me up, so I think I'll say soda may only be consumed in licensed premises as it's the daily ones at work and home that I want to put a stop to.
  2. Main Quest: Feel more powerful, physically and mentally 1) Death Mountain - lift those heavy rocks: gym at least 3x per week, climbing at least 1x per week. 2) Zora's Domain - kick the soda addiction, switching it for water instead. 3) Kokiri Forest - replacing sweet treats with fruit, or vegetable snacks like carrot sticks when necessary, or skip them entirely if I'm not even hungry and snacking due to boredom. Small amounts of dark chocolate are allowed, big bags of Haribo a definite no! Life Side Quest: Finish reading Redshirts by John Scalzi and The Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss Motivation: I started indoor rock climbing a couple of months ago and love it, I'd like to get stronger to be able to tackle some tougher routes and problems. I'm also being promoted at work in a few months to a job that is more physical than my current desk job and want to be able to hold my own, especially as there's only one other woman on the team - self-rescuing princesses ftw! The tuck shop at work calls to me in the afternoons for a soda and chocolate fix and I need to kick this habit. My life quest motivation is that I have too many unfinished books so need to "use it or lose it" to either finish them or get rid of them before moving on to the next one. My reading speed has slowed dramatically lately so just the two books over the 6 weeks to start with.
