2. Is everyone still trying to meet up before the dash? I'm driving from El Paso and trying to figure out travel plans
3. Are you doing the push up/sit up to the British Army form standard? You may be using up time by using more range of motion than you need to. The descriptions from the British physical training manual are below. Push Up 1. Participants are to lie flat on their stomach/chest with legs straight and feet not more than 30cm apart. Their hands are to be positioned, palms down (they may face inwards slightly) in a comfortable position from which they are able to commence the exercise. The hands and feet must be on the same level (i.e. both on the mat or both on the floor). This is known as, the “Start Position”. 2. The Press-up is performed from the Start Position by straightening the arms until they are fully locked at the elbows, using the toes as a pivot. The body is then lowered (by bending the elbows) until the upper arms are at least parallel to the floor. The body must be kept straight throughout the Press-up. Sit Up Both male and female candidates must complete 50 sit-ups in two minutes. Using a mat, lie on your back, knees bent at 90°, feet flat on the floor and secured. Your arms should be crossed over the chest with fingertips touching the shoulders. Sit up until your upper body is in a vertical position then, under control, return to the starting position, making sure your shoulder blades touch the mat (your head/hands/elbows don't need to) before you start the next sit-up. You should not flick your hips or bounce off the mat for extra momentum. While doing sit ups don’t use your abs muscles to lower yourself from the vertical to start position. Just fall back and let you body weight pull you down, you will bounce off the ground a little bit and make it easier to get back to the vertical position.

5. Their selling it for $50 and it is the complete kit with DVD and exercise book. Their unit is getting ready to return to the states and they don’t have a need for it anymore. I’ll give it a try and see how I like it.
6. Does anyone have any experience with the TRX system? A couple of the guys I work with are selling their TRX FORCE Kit: Tactical and I was wondering if it was worth picking up.
7. It's a 10 to 12 hour drive for me but i would be up for it if you do it in September
8. Doing sprints is a good way to build your run endurance. This link has a good article to get you started on building your run up. http://www.runaddicts.net/tips-tricks/the-guide-to-boost-your-endurance as for your ankle have you should have it checked out, in the mean time try the RICE meathod on it Rest: The first 24-48 hours after the injury is considered a critical treatment period and activities need to be curtailed. Gradually use the injured extremity as much as tolerated, by try to avoid any activities that cause pain. Often using a splint, sling, or crutches is necessary to adequately rest the injured body part. Ice: For the first 48 hours post-injury, ice the sprain or strain 20 minutes at a time every 3-4 hours. The ice pack can be a bag of frozen vegetables (peas or corn), allowing you to be able to re-use the bag. Another popular treatment method is to fill paper cups with water then freeze the cup. Use the frozen cube like an ice cream cone, peeling away paper as the ice melts. Do NOT ice a sprain or strain for more than 20 minutes at a time!! You will not be helping heal the injury any faster, and you can cause damage to the tissues! Compression: Use compression when elevating a sprain or strain in early treatment. Using an Ace bandage, wrap the area overlapping the elastic wrap by one-half of the width of the wrap. The wrap should be snug, but not cutting off circulation to the extremity. So, if your fingers or toes become cold, blue, or tingle, re-wrap! Elevate: Keep your sprain or strain as best possible--try to get it higher than your heart if possible. Elevate at night by placing pillows under leg.
9. Life is too short to blend in. My mistakes are my life. - SAMUEL BECKETT The secret of the greatest fruitfulness and the greatest enjoyment of existence is: to live dangerously! - FRIEDRICH NIETZSCHE Life is not always a matter of holding good cards, but sometimes, playing a poor hand well. - JACK LONDON I know that life is a journey I must accept and that pain and confusion are temporary. I know that if I follow my heart, it will lead me where I belong - JOSH GROBAN
10. I recommend that you sign up and do one. I’ve done a couple and they are a blast especially if you do it with a group of friends. Don’t think of it as a 5k run, think of it as a 3.1 mile obstacle course where you run/jog/walk a little way then slow down and recover a little while you go through an obstacle. Just go as fast as you can without hurting yourself and complete it. I recommend wearing clothing and shoes that don’t retain water and dries fairly quick and long sleeve running shirt & tight to protect your arms and legs.
11. Got dressed up and went to a monte carlo chrity night with the guys The car I'm restoring My living space for the last 9 months
12. I'll be driving from El Paso, so if anyone between there and the dash needs a ride let me know. I have a truck with room for three more and anything you need to bring. Let me know if your intrested in having any wild game. I'll be bring elk, deer, bufflao and bear meat back from leave with me.
13. When i started cutting soda out, I would keep a bottle of water with me. I found that I would drink the water if it was right there instead of going and looking for something that had sugar in it. There are plrnty of ways to keep water with you camelbaks, canteens, water bottles or hire a minion to follow you with a pail of water and a ladle.
14. So i got moved to the 4am to 4pm shift at work and thought i would share a few of the quotesi've heard suring the early hours of the morning. "Why do you have naked photos of men on your phone? No, it's OK. It's Bert Reynolds" "Don't call me now, I'm gambling and drinking" "We'll be sleeping with each other if you don't play your cards right" "Party Rockin is not free, man." "You what's a good way to beat off.... just completely relax"
15. For the minimum amount of effort you might want to try this. 2 minutes of push ups, 2 minutes of sit ups and run 2 miles as fast as you can. I do this most mornings and feel like i have more energy and feel good all day.
