  1. Just played through Morrowind and Oblivion, back to Skyrim again. Making a bloodline narrative for my Nord characters, all in preparation for TESO in spring.
  2. Well, it's probably not the most complicated of strategies; but I will up my deadlifting weight by 5 or 10 kg every week till I at least hit 100kgs and see how I go.
  3. 29th July 6 Week Challenge The Quest to Defeat the Flabberwocky! And yay I did live in peace amonst the good people of my village for many a year. Unknownst to me and my brethren that an evil force was at work. The signs became stronger and more frequent; and yet, to my folly, I ignored them. I awoke one morning to find that the dreaded beast had struck! The Flabberwocky had attacked leaving my village ravaged and even myself weak and flabby. With no one else to take up the call I vow to become a noble ranger and prove myself worthy of fighting and destroying this gluttonous beast! I must become strong! I must define my body and mind to give hope to those around me! Side Quests Life: I must return to a diet from before the Flabberwocky existed. I must eat as my Ancestors did (except for maybe milk for my tea) Eating only the flesh of game or the root of earth! Only then will the great beasts hold on us be weakened! (Going Paleo) Fitness: In my ongoing quest to become stronger I must be able to deadlift my weight; for if I cannot do that how can I hope to defeat the great beast!?! (deadlift 100kg at the end of the 6 weeks) Motivation I do this to become a strong and true hero, to rid myself of the terrible beast that has afflicted so many!
  4. The one I hate is "Why are you going to the gym? you're already in good shape." Even if that were true, the gym is how to stay in my current shape
  5. Or cyclops, jean and baby cable....
  6. Dr. evil, frau whatshername and minime? Heman, shera and that little wizard guy whose name I can't recall....
  7. I might do; I'll feel like a burk in the gym with a video camera (wonder if they allow cameras.....) If I can't get help there I'll definitly try. Thanks!
  8. I know a lot of people are aprehensive about TESO. From other MMO's I've encountered, this is understandable. But I'm staying eternally optomistic (perhaps naively). So I'm lookinf forward to it. Considering Orc or Nord now! Got my new Skyrim character up to lvl40 (Imperial this time W00T!)
  9. It's pribably going to have a few bugs but honestly, I've been lucky enough to not encounter game killing ones with elder scrolls. I'm going to stay optomistic about it because I love getting emmersed in the stories and lore. Also between dungeon crawling in Tamriel with friends and PVP to conquer Cyrodill, I will love sinking hours into yet another elder scrolls game. I'm tempted to get dosbox for arena and daggerfall now.....
  10. Looks cool. Anyone making a costume for this year? I've started making a satyr costume myself, willpost pics if it turns out well
  11. I found that Pathfinder is a nice accessable d&d clone, a bit cheaper and closer to 3.5 than the "streamlined" 4th edition. (Not that it was all bad in 4th, I did enjoy the sorcerer I played) As for meeting people, I try to wrangle people I already know. Still tough though. Anyone in Ireland up for Way of the Wicked?
  12. Hi Guys, It's a way off but I was wondering about what people thought of Elder Scrolls Online? I'm probably going to go console with it, when I have decided on which one to get..... Anywho, for those that don't know, there are 3 Factions: The Ebonheart Pact consists of: Nords Argonians (Lizard people) Dunmer (Dark Elves) The Daggerfall Covenant consists of: Redguards Bretons Orcs The Aldmeri Dominion consists of: Altmer (High Elves) Bosmer (Wood Elves) Khajiit (Cat people) So which race (and therefore faction) would/will you be? For me probably Nord all the way.
  13. Awesome! Great link thamks! Looking forward to the gym this evening now!
  14. Hi Guys; Couldn't find a topic specifically about deadlifting so I thought I'd post here. I started deadlifting last week, this is an addition to my workout routine that's done 3 times per week. I'm pretty sure I'm doing it correctly, the gym staff haven't corrected my technique. I've started small I'm only doing 40kg at the moment and slowly increasing this; I'm wondering how to progress, the 40kg is one of the lowest weights that I work with throughout my workout. Should I just keep going as is or add weight untill it's quite difficult? I'm worried I might make a mistake and damage my back. thanks
  15. Down in Kerry myself rural paleo zombies! FTW
