  1. I haven't updated in a loooong time but I'm doing great! Still trucking along and still meeting most of goals (still not walking as much as I want). We've been pretty busy making preparations for Landon to arrive. It's looking like he's going to be a big boy! 6 weeks to go and they estimate him at 6 lbs already! Yikes!
  2. So far, so good this week. Restful Sunday and Sprint day yesterday. Today will be strength training. I have this ridiculous craving for salmon and collard greens today....weird. I also started a new project this past Saturday. The best way to describe it is that it's something of a history book. The book contains (will contain) stories about where my parents come from and what they're like, stories about my wife and how I met her. Basically a history of me, and I plan on continuing to write in it up until the day I give it to my son. At that point, it basically becomes his history. When will I give it to him? I have no idea really...haven't thought that far in advance. I'm sure it's cheesy and I'm sure he'll think it's cheesy but, hey, nothing has made me feel as cheesy and sentimental as knowing that in 8 weeks or so, I'll be a father. Have a great day!
  3. Good workout last night followed by a ribeye steak for dinner and a walk with my wife!
  4. No workout last night. My head was pounding when I got home yesterday so I took the night off. I'm loving this challenge!
  5. Monday! What a day. I'm looking forward to putting it all behind me with a nice long walk and a sprint interval session tonight!

  8. That sounds pretty fun! Unfortunately, I'm the only person I know that would enjoy it. I remember discovering Magic: The Gathering when I was 12 or so, running out and getting a starter deck, and then never finding anyone to play with. Ha!
  9. You can handle it! I've never played D&D. How would someone get started?
  10. I managed to get my sprint session in last night. It was hot!! There's a "cool front" coming through today and its "only" supposed to be in the low to mid 90s this week. Rearranging the garage today and working on some stuff around the house. Kettlebell circuit this afternoon. Have a great day everyone!
  11. 4 year anniversary dinner with my wife last night AND we decided on a name for the baby!! So who's got big plans this weekend?
  12. What a week! The only workout I've missed this week is my sprint workout Monday. I'll try to knock it out tonight. My goal of walking 3 hours each week may have been a little lofty, but I still have plenty of time to make it. So far this week, I have about two hours. Busy day yesterday...4 year anniversary and we finally decided on a name for the baby! I'll post it here soon. Have a great Friday!
  13. Nine days in! It's going faster than I thought!
  14. Monday was rough. No sprint workout but its all good! Today was back on schedule though. I've knocked my workout out and a nice healthy dinner almost ready. Mowing the yard is next....that may be the real workout!
  15. I had a nice productive, restful Sunday. I hope everyone's week is off to a great start!
  16. The weekend is off to a pretty good start. Friday is a rest day so I just took a nice long walk right before dark last night. This morning, I went a short walk and KILLED my workout! Today was the first time in a long time that I've worked out in the morning and I have forgotten how much different it feels....may have to keep that up. If it doesn't rain tonight, we've big plans for the grill. Expect pictures!
