  1. Wondering if anything ever came of this. I'm in the New Holland Area (Pretty close to Lancaster) and just getting back into NF
  2. Loving the Zombies!Run 5k trainer, much easier to tell myself to go when it's broken out by weeks

  3. Time to Level Up! I scraped by the last challenge, but I've never been C/D Student, so I need to kick it up these next six weeks. My main goal is weight loss. I did manage to lose weight this last challenge (went from 211 to 206). My long-term goal is to reach 150 (which is at the top of my healthy weight range). To do that, for the next six weeks I need to....: Goal 1: Work out 4 days a week (+1STR +2DEX +2STA) A Repeat from the last challenge but scaled down a day because I failed horribly. I’ve moved and I’m a lot further from my gym now, so I have to make it priority to go during the work week since I’ll be closer. I’m also now in a second floor apartment with a roommate who sleeps on an opposite schedule, so I won’t be working out inside the apartment. I’m going to try seeing how going for a walk/jog in the morning would work, but I’m not going to hold my breath. Really trying for 4 days a week at the gym (plus, then I can call it into my insurance for a rebate, yesssss!) A: 4+ days a week B: 3 C: 2 D: 1 F: 0 Goal 2: 7.5 hours of sleep each night (+3 CON, +1 CHA) bed by 10:45 on work nights I am so sleepy. Like, all the time. And now that I’ve moved, I’m farther from work meaning I need to wake up early (6:15 may not seem early, but I am totally not a morning bird). I need to work on making sure I get enough sleep. I’ve been slacking lately cause I got FFXIV and the only time I really have to play it is at night >o> but no more excuses! I figure, if I’m in bed by 11:15, I can get my 7.5 hours of sleep. Unless I decide to try and walk in the morning, and then I need to be in bed by 10:15 (Geez, that makes me feel so old...) A: 6-7 days with 7.5-9 hours of sleep B: 4-5 days with 7.5-9 hours of sleep C: 2-3 days with 7.5-9 hours of sleep D: 1 days with 7.5-9 hours of sleep F: 0 days with 7.5-9 hours of sleep Goal 3: No simple carb foods after 2pm (+4 CON) This includes the obvious like table sugar, junk food, white flour, dairy, cereal, etc. I’m not including fruit in this. The times I eat fruit after 2 pm is low anyway, but I’m not going to penalize myself for having a banana. I'd like to eventually phase out proccessed crap, but I know there's no way I'm going to successfully do that right now. Baby steps, people. A - Woo hoo! 7 days a week without B- 5-6 days without C - 3-4 days without D- 2 without F- 0-1 without Life Goal: Grad School (+2 WIS) This is it! Deadline is for WVU’s IMC program is October 15th so this really is the last challenge I can include this in, unless I wait for the next term (Booooo). Collect 3 Letters of RecommendationComplete online applicationWrite personal statementRequest Undergrad TranscriptsSubmit ResumeNo grading for this one, simply pass/fail Let's hope I do better this time around than last time. Keeping my fingers crossed and my sneakers by the door.
  4. I need to get a keyboard too. I feel so bad when someone heals me and I just try and blow kisses to say thanks because I'll die if I stop to type something
  5. awww Everyone' son Faerie I managed to get on right before they added new servers, and the only one I could get into was Behemoth v_v /alone
  6. Sorry for falling off the rader v_v In the last six weeks I: 1) Almost lost my job 2) Broke up with my BF 3) Moved 4) Got back together with said BF so posting wasn't completely on my mind. I did manage to keep track of water and calories, but my workouts suffered greatly. I'll need to keep that as a goal for next challenge because after week 3 I bombed it. Same with grad school - I did update my resume and write my personal statement, I also requested one of my reccommendation letters, but since it's pass/fail, I'm counting it as an uncompleted goal (boo, next time) Overall Grades: Workouts: 68% - D (Boo Hiss) Calorie Tracking: 81% - B (surprised I kept with this as much as I did) Water Intake: 81% - B (I found I struggle most with the weekends. At work the bottle's always in front of me and easy to drink, but I get distracted on the weekend) Most importantly, what did we learn? Workouts - It needs to be a requirement, not an option. Keep the gym bag in the car, post notes on the steering wheel, tell the BF to remind me, whatever. i did great the first three weeks then let it slip. Calorie Tracking: Pack the night before, seriously. I'm much less likely to stray when I know exactly what I've packed and how many calories I have left. That Late Night Snack from Ben & Jerry's doesn't look as tempting when I know I only have 150 calories left Water: Keep the water with me at all times. Like I said, I struggled most on the weekends I think because I didn't have the bottle in front of me Grad School: I'm just a procrastinator. Grad School: Fail All in All, I'm counting it as a completed challenge, but only giving myself the extra 2 points (for the Calories and Water). I'm really disappointed I didn't do better with my workouts, but it's something I'll have to keep working on.
  7. Got back from Otakon on Monday - so many steps it was awesome!! Down to 206lbs so I'm on my way Calorie Tracking/Count: B+ I did surprisingly well with otakon - only went one day over my net calories. There were a few days at the beginnig of the week I was depressed and still pathetically low, but I managed to pick it up by mid-week. Workouts: C+ I'm torn. Yes, I feel like I got my workout in at Otakon (went as high as 17,780 steps compared to the 6 - 8k I'll get on a workout day, 3k without) I didn't really work at it. So while I was active 5 days, I'm gonna give it a C+ Water: B Kept with it 5 days this week Was actually surprised when I stepped on the scale and saw 206. I was still tracking everything but was really focused so I'm glad to see the number go down. Hitting the gym hard this week to make sure it stays that way.
  8. Ooooh they do something like that in Philly for Serenity and Dr. Horrible. They always sell out before I find out when they are though. Always wanted to go to one.
  9. Thanks guys! Sorry for the lack of updates, it's been a really tough week personally (and only got worse over the weekend) but I still managed to keep track of everything. Didn't knock it out of the park like I hoped, but I'm not going to be too rough on myself. Managed to drop two pounds (according to the scale, which is a different scale than I started with but who knows). For week one: Calorie Tracking/Counting: B Technically there was only one day when I was over my calorie limit (1,300 net w/ 200 grace range) but one of those was because I was sick to my stomach and ended up being way under. (I even tried to eat smores to at least bump up the calories but couldn't) Workouts: B I ended up working out 4 days instead of 5. I'm puppysitting this week, so two of those were dog walk/jogs while was fun and different from the gym. Water: B I'm giving myself a B because I got my full amount (sometimes more) 5 days last week, one day was only 64 and Sunday I didn't even track, so I doubt it was close. All in all, fitness wise it wasn't a bad week, but this week I'm going to try to do better. I'm a little worried because I'm going to Otakon this weekend and while I'm sure I'll be walking my butt off, not much of that will really count as cardio, and that's Thursday - Sunday. We'll see how it goes, but I'm trying my best! I'm taking my measurements (a few days late) and will try to post them in one of the first posts to keep track of them. Thanks for the encouragement!
  10. Tomorrow I will be better.

  11. Im sorry to hear about your husband, brenda its scary and i hope everything works out for him. This seems to be happening all over the place. And trust me, I wanted enchiladas so bad and would have probably gotten them, but my bf saw my mission, quests, and motivation posted all around the house so he was keeping an eye on me. I find I do much better when there's someone with me when I eat, cause the I feel like I can't get away with cheating. Today however, I'll probably be over my limit. I'm not going to the gym becauuuuuse I'm going to see wicked with my boss and her kids in Philly tonight. I'm so excited and were going out to eat beforehand but I'm not sure where. I'll make sure to get my water into, and since I did beginner body weight and some jump rope yesterday, as long as I hit the gym the rest of the weekend I should be good to hit my 5 day goal.
  12. I'm a lurker at heart, I'm still following up but I don't always have something to say @_@ besides good job <3 on another note, I ate some cinnamon candies today (never said I wouldn't) and managed to crack a tooth ;< I don't have a local dentist so now I have to wait until Monday for the office I'm looking at to be open... That's what I get for falling into temptation I guess. And not flossing.
  13. 2 for 2 - good job! Are you finding you feel better since changing up your meals? Maybe not for this challenge, but next time you might wanna think about keeping a food journal. A few people in my accountablibuddy group are doing that and are noticing what foods make them feel a certain way. Also, totally jealous you have an archery club nearby - I've always wanted to try that. Let us know how you like the zumba class!
  14. What in the world are the mash potato and steak tartare dance and can you teach them to me?
  15. Have fun on your trip and stay safe! Will you still being keeping track of everything?
  16. Wow, your routine is awe-inspiring. I don't know how you do all of that - before 6am none the less
  17. This. This is a great line and so true. I hope your challenge is off to a good start and I can't wait to read more!
  18. Can't wait to hear how the mud run goes! Those always seemed so much fun, and I'm impressed you're aiming for not one, not two, but three! That's an awesome way to keep yourself motivation. And you know what? Wednesday is hump day - the hardest day of the week. If you wanna give yourself a little pat on the back for staying on task, go for it!
  19. I can't wait to see how your Spartan Sprint goes! My brother completed one recently and he said it was the hardest thing he's done, but was so proud and happy when he did it. When does your academic year stop?
  20. A friend posted a saying "What was difficult will one day be your warm up" That hill's going to be no problem in no time - and luckily it's after work so you can always pack a change of clothes to ride home in - plus imagine the leg muscles you're probably building - whoo!
  21. 20 minutes - awesome! And very good you didn't forget to add stretching in there Let us know how it went at the gym today!
  22. How'd it end up going today Bmac? There's still time for a walk/run if you haven't gotten there yet!
  23. Oooh, since you love guacamole - maybe try making a chicken salad out of it? I heard that could be yummy and help get some of the protein you think you're missing. Or maybe keep a container of trail mix with nuts and dried fruit on your desk (though watch the mindless snacking). I'm glad to see you're getting your "you" time in - that's gotta help with some of the stress.
