  1. I had started running on my own with the c25k program and I actually liked it. But I stopped, I think because my ankles were bothering me. This program, though, isn't just running or walking, they also do lectures about running and stuff like that. In other awesome news, I had something happen today that almost brought me to tears in yoga class. I was able to bend at the waist and touch the floor with straight legs. It was only with my fiber tips, but still awesome. Let me tell you why. When I was younger, I took gymnastics, but no matter how hard I tried, I could never touch my toes without bending my knees. It wasn't because of a belly, because I didn't have one then, I just never could. I could do all sorts things and bends, but I couldn't touch my toes. All semester when we do sun salutations, I bend at the knees to touch the ground. I noticed today that instead of just my finger tips, i could almost her my whole finger length on the ground. So I decided to try straightening my legs. I damn near cried right there. Big deal for me, touching the ground.

  4. Congrats on the visible body change and eating better! I like this idea of taking pictures once a month; I may steal it. I agree with cromana about the cough. All that post nasal drip causes one hell of a cough that lingers and the air quality probably isn't helping. Keep up the good work!

  6. Oh my god, you've done so much since I last checked in on you! I'm glad you're not feeling pain anymore, but try not to stress it. Good thinking asking your coach about the RPM class. Keep up the great work =D
  7. Today I signed up for a 5k training program with my mom. About a month ago or so, a heavy set lady came into my work to buy tulle for tutus for her and her 11 year old daughter. She said they were doing a 5k color run coming up. She decided that she needed to lose weight and it was also something her and her daughter could do together. I asked her all about the ones she'd done and planned to do, that I wanted to get into 5ks, and she told me about this group. They're called L.A. Leggers and they're a marathon running group, but they also do 5k and half marathon training. I'm so excited to do it! If anyone here is in the Santa Monica/Malibu/Venice/LA area and want to join, it's only $25 to sign up, but spaces are limited. The site is www.laleggers.org =D
  8. My mom suggested adding it to my calendar on my phone because a big reason I don't get on is because I forget until I'm already in bed about to fall asleep. I have looked at it now and I do live it. I shall post to that thread soon. =L
  9. It's raining so hard here and I am so happy I could cry! I've been doing all right. Chugging along. I did an hour and a half of bone last night to make up for missing it all week. It sucked but I did it! I've already ordered my winning shirt because it was a limited time only thing but I don't get to have it unless I pass. Knowing it's bought and coming gives me more drive to kick ass. Here's to hoping for a better week this week.

  14. Glad to see the storm over and gone, Jazzy inspected her ship as Anaticula kept them following slightly behind the Sea Witch. There were things that needed to be fixed, but they were far from limping along. “Congrats, ladies, and lad, fer keepin' us afloat through this rough patch! Ye be a fine crew if I ever did have one an' I couldn't ask fer anyone better!†She grinned at her crew, then noticed the wave from the other ship. “Ana, bring up in after the Sea Witch. Look like we're makin' port here tonight fer repairs an' such.†Once they were skillfully in port and the ships linked via planks, Jazzy made her way over as her crew worked on the few repairs needed. The meeting with starsapart went well and she informed the crew that they had the night off and there would be a small get together over on the Sea Witch. “Let me get my viola!†Jazzy cried and was gone and back before she could be missed. “Can't have real pirate music without some kind of fiddle, eh?†She winked and laughed as she pulled her viola from it's battered case. “Here's to all of us servivin' and to Cat_Therien! And me crew, don't think I ain't seein' how hard ye be workin'! Keep up the hard work and I'll be movin' me own appretinces up to full able bodied seawomen here soon!â€
  15. I'm going to count this update as my update for yesterday. I didn't have any time yesterday to do anything. I had a work shift from 11-530, had to be dropped off at 10, then while I was working, my boss asked me to come back at 8 that night to help with signing. I had an hour away from work then got home and just went to bed, basically. So I'll post today and I'll try for something tomorrow, or Friday. My plan for tomorrow is... to just enjoy myself. I won't over stuff myself, I won't gorge, but I'm not going to obsess over counting calories. As for the past few days... 11/24 Swab the Deck - nope, but I didn't plan on it today Food Rations - Did okay. A little rocky, though. Starbucks is an evil temptress. Nightly Activity - I didn't use Headspace, but we do meditate in my yoga class, so I counted that. 11/25 swab the deck - No. I wanted to today, but because of work, it totally escaped me. Will get it in this week though! Food Rations - Okay. Still bumpy, though Working on it. Nightly Activity - Yup. Though I kind of fell asleep during part of it, lol. 11/26 Swab the Deck - still haven't done this >.< If I don't get it done tonight, I will have to tomorrow, Friday, and Saturday. Luckily, we do Thanksgiving dinner at my house in the morning. Food Rations - Made it okay, but only because I didn't eat my lunch because I wasn't hungry, Had Carl's Jr. for dinner and it added up quick. Nightly Activity - Meditated in yoga today. Overall, I need to get better, but I'm doing okay.

  17. You can do it! But always relent that real life is very important and if you need to lay off here a bit in order to get things done for work and/or school, that is totally fine. Also love your additions to getting back health. I find incentives of any sort to be very helpful.
  18. When I get super stressed about the big things, I ask myself how you eat an elephant. One bite at a time, of course. Try to break everything up into smaller bits; don't just think about the huge project due, think about the one paragraph you can write today and the one picture you can draw tomorrow. As for jobs, the right job will come for you when you are ready. Could you really handle interviews right now? You'll be fine. Keep trying and keep your head up. You can do it!
  19. Oh, and in another, awesome note: As of Thanksgiving, I will be 90 days without soda. Though all I want is a nice, cold root beer *cries*
  20. Quick update: The last week I have been less than good. I haven't been counting calories, haven't used the bike at all. All I've done is cross stitch, lol. My wifi is working again, though! In my time of being bad and wifi-less, I have come up with an idea! Here it is: I have decided on rewards for this challenge. My original idea was that I would total all my goals up and find if the challenge was an over all A or B. If it was a B, I would get the new Fall Out Boy CD that I want. If it was an A, then I get the Fall Out Boy CD and an awesome shirt for working out and living in. But then with how bad this past week was and getting 0s everywhere, I decided on something new. Starting today, all the way through to the end of the challenge, if I complete my goals as they are written out every week, then I get both the CD and the shirt. If I mess up on even one thing, then I have to tally in the first two weeks and I go by my original grading scale for the prizes, which I think would probably be in the B range, but I didn't do the math on that, lol. I think it is a good, solid way of kicking my ass in to gear. And now that I'm getting awesome hours at work (knock on wood), I can afford rewards! Yey! Okay, I'll be back Tuesday with more stuff.
  21. Hey all, my net is down (wifi router is trying to give up the ghost) so I may not get to pay any story related stuff until after this weekend. Either my boyfriend can fix the wifi or I'll buy a new box.
