  1. Looks like you're doing pretty well! I agree about the sleep. Sleep is good for you. And don't forget rest days, you don't want to over stress yourself. Waiting to hear about your race
  2. Overall I think you're doing very well! Have you looked into Master Locks? I bought my mom one for her birthday that is made to be harder to cut with a bolt cutter. They make their locks on a 10 level scale. You'll have to get a chain to match, but I'd look into that.
  3. I think that healthy snacking is a good thing, so long as you're not eating a whole bunch of food at your meals. Balance is key. You can do it!
  4. I love your outlook on your challenge and when you don't quite make it to where you want to be. It's very uplifting. Keep on trying and you'll get there!
  5. Haha, I was going to ask you if you were playing the new expansion. My boyfriend is all over it, made it to level 97 in two days. Staying up late and all that. I know I've been putting things off to cross stitch, so I've started telling myself that cross stitching is a reward so if I get my homework done or make my posts, then and only then can I work on my cross stitching. Maybe that kind of thing would work for you? I think posting every day or every other day would help keep you more on track. We're here to root you on and keep you on track!
  6. After inspecting the ship and making sure all the cargo was aboard and her crew was settled, she called for the sails to be raised and followed the Sea Witch out to sea. It had been smooth sailing for a while and she was enjoying sunbathing on the bow of the ship, her orange tail wrapped around her small body. She'd left Anaticula to steer the ship, navigating being her fine point. A splashing sound caused her ears to perk up and she slowly lifted her head. Maybe there was a dolphin pod leading them toward the north seas. She did not, though, see a pod of dolphins. Jumping up as the silver streak jumped over the flagship, she changed back into her human form. She waited a moment and saw the silver jump the ship again. She turned back just after seeing the creature land on the other ship. Grabbing the string of the bell, she began to ring it loudly. “All hands on deck! Prepare teh board the Sea Witch and help our fellow CutLasses!†The crew ran around, grabbing the grapple hooks and readying to toss. Jazzy helped Tzippie ready the plank. They caught on to the side of their sister ship and the crew of the Drunken Barmaid boarded, swords drawn. “Where be the beast?!†Jazzy yelled, eyeing the crew of the other ship. She found starsapart and the creature standing and... talking? She sheathed her sword and walked up the other captain. “What--?†She over heard the last part of the conversation, the creature asking to stay with them. She crossed her arms over her chest and eyed the man. “We-ell... I could use the extra hand an' ye look like a hard worker. Jus' know I won't give ye any allowance that I wouldn't give me own crew.†The siren nodded, “Of course Captain. I don't expect to be treated any different.†Jazzy nodded and stuck her hand out to him. “Welcome aboard the Drunken Barmaid.â€
  7. I will take it that way then I may need to work on opening up more about how I'm feeling and realize what self talk is because of the depression and what isn't. I've always tried to keep from using my depression as an excuse and I work very hard to overcome the things that many let hold them back. I just need to open up more. Thanks! I'll try to post another progress pic here, soon. He's look pretty dark awesome. My boyfriend doesn't like it, though, lol. He thinks the talking is jarring. I took up cross stitching originally so I could make my boyfriend his birthday present, but I continue to love it because it's rather simplistic. Not many super confusing steps and rule and such.
  8. You're doing so well! And I'm jealous of your nano progress. I haven't done nano in years. With the epic quest list, I think you should have it separate from your battle log. I think it makes the epic quests more special.

  11. I've tweaked my goals a bit today. I found that sticking to 1810 calories a day wasn't working well at all, so I upped it to 2000 for this challenge then I'll cut it down next challenge back to 1810. I've also created titles for my goals, to make them fit into my story line more. I hope to be able to write more this challenge. Now on to updates! 11/12 Swab the Decks - I didn't ride the bike because I had school and yoga. Food rations - At the new calorie count, I stayed under! Yey! Nightly Activities - I used HeadSpace for the first time and it was actually pretty awesome. I will continue to do this! Free Time - Bought my cross stitch fabric and all the thread I need for it. Wound the thread on my little board things and started my new project. "Rum" Rations - Drank all my water. Though I forgot my actual water bottle at home so I had to buy a 33oz bottle at school. Cost an arm and a leg. I hate doing that. I also don't really like the taste of Smart Water. Oh well. Drank it anyway. 11/13 Swab the Decks - Going to ride the bike here soon. Caught up in my cross stitching, lol. Food rations - All full and under calorie count. Nightly Activities - I'm going to do this before bed, though I'm tempted to start doing it in the morning when I wake up. Will try that tomorrow. Free Time - Guess that pokemon! I've decided to do the pokemon motivational posters, though it's turning out a lot larger than anticipated, lol. This is in my 10 inch loop. "Rum" Rations - Forgot about my water til like, 4 this evening. Still working on it.
  12. I'll see how the 10 days go and decide from there. I really liked the first one, though. Yeah. I've been diagnosed with major depression for almost 10 years now. I usually do pretty well managing it, though. I get the negative thoughts, as well, mostly about how I'm not all that interesting and no one really wants to hear what I did today, because it was boring. Then I compare myself to other people, even though I know that's not a good thing.
  13. I hadn't realized it was part of the depression, I thought it was a self esteem thing. Though I guess those two can be pretty closely related. I will do my best to remember this! I've downloaded the headspace app and started it last night! Do you just use the 10 over and over, or have you purchased more? I was very proud that I didn't buy something at every stop! I'm going to chalk this up to a win! I think you may be on to something there. I'll try by easing off of it. Really I don't eat out all that often if I can help it. Monday's is a day I go out with my friends and we hit up places for snack and stuff. My will power is the worst, lol.   14. Don't be depressed! You didn't gain it all back, and you didn't gain more than you had lost. Weight comes and goes and you've already proven you can lose the weight really well. You'll do it again, and better!
  15. Is the exercise guide you're putting together for R going to be available to the public when you're done with it? I'd love to see it. Good luck on your half marathon on Sunday! You can keep the pace, I believe in you. =D
  16. 11/10 Day one was... okay. I ate too much, sadly, My friends and I went on a hunt for the Hello Kitty toys they had at McDonalds and went to three different McDonalds and by the end I got myself some fries and an apple pie. I had started the night so well not buying anything and ended up buying food. But! I didn't buy any other kind of food at McDonalds other than the fries and apple pie. I wanted a burger but knew it was bad. So I did have some control. I'm just bad at control. I didn't drink all my water, either. My water bottle spilt in the car and I forgot to refill it. Didn't remember til I went to bed. Meditation was fun. I did it just before I went to bed and just fell asleep, lol. I'll try again tonight. 11/11 So far so good! I'm going to finish at my calories (possibly just under, haven't added in my last food yet) and drank more than just my 32 oz of water. Haven't hit the bike yet, or meditated. That will come though. I feel a lot more in control now. Looking forward to this!

  19. Ahoy there, lassy! Cap'n Jazzy here from the Drunken Barmaid! Love yer goals, nice and simple. My bff wanted teh join a roller derby, but never did, made me kinda sad. Skatin' ain't my thing, but I woulda loved to see her matches (is that what they be called?). Belly dancing is fun! Is that DVD only available in the UK? (I think yer from the UK based on that Hairy Dieter app you mentioned). Cause I would totally look into that meself. I'll be keepin' an eye on ye, keep up the good work!

  22. Ahoy there lassy, Cap'n Jazzy here from the Drunken Barmaid here teh see how yer fairin' and what yer goals are. Love 'em! I just have one suggestion fer ye, though. Fer yer main quest, seein' as it's a long term, I'd suggest not addin' the +2 CHA to it. If'n ye want ta have attribute points there, I'd suggest making it like "Lose 5 pounds in 6 weeks" since ye won't be dropping to your desire BF% this challenge and won't be gettin' those points. But that just be me own opinion. Keep up the good work, I'll be checkin' in on ye!
