  1. Okay, good to know Looking forward to catching up!
  2. I will be there for dinner at the Rook but I may not be able to make it to the Star Wars bar beforehand.
  3. Sydneysiders, are we still on for the meetup this Thursday? If so, what time?
  4. Sorry, I should have posted that as: Female 121 pounds/55 kg 3 pullups
  5. Currently I can only do 3 (female, 55 kg). The maximum I got up to last year when I was obsessed with training pull-ups was 8 (6 strict form). It's depressing how rapidly I've gone downhill after neglecting fitness for a year!
  6. Apologies for the double post.
  7. I am free that evening, and would also prefer a later start. The day after (25th September) would also work well for me, unless you were trying to avoid Fridays because of bad traffic etc.
  8. I found this article extremely helpful: http://www.nerdfitness.com/blog/2011/04/25/do-a-pull-up/
  9. I should be! Keep me in the loop
  10. Hey Aussie rebels! It's been a long (well over a year I believe) hiatus for me but I recently spotted someone from Nerd Fitness "IRL" and it prompted me to check back in here . Out of curiosity, when is the next Sydney meet scheduled for?
  11. Worth a read: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/23440795
  12. Bathurst Hospital seems like a wonderful friendly place. I officially start my Gen Surg term tomorrow (not keen for the 7 am ward rounds!). I will also be travelling out to Orange Hospital for Oncology, which should be good.
  13. Another vote for negatives, here. I trained using just negatives and flex hangs. No assisted pullup machine, no bands, nothing.
  14. Yes, I passed my O and G OSCE! I won't know my marks till the end of the year, but I know I passed (and that's what really matters - Ps get degrees!) I'd totally be keen for a Bathurst meet-up - maybe you could all come out for the Bathurst 1000...
  15. Hey guys, I thought I should pop in to let you know - I'm heading off west of the sandstone curtain for an extended rural placement at Bathurst Base Hospital so I sadly won't be around to join in the Sydney meets for the next twelve months! I wish you all the best and hopefully will still be in touch occasionally! (Oh and congrats on the birth of your daughter Yuen!)
