  1. My warm uo consists of the first strength workout I do. Suppose I start off with squatting, I first squat the empty bar and keep adding weights until I hit my workout level.
  2. Sorry for the late reply, but to answer the common question, I am doing cardio to get into shape and lose some extra pounds.
  3. So I recently started Stronglifts 5x5, as recently suggested by some members (thank you) and I wanted to include some cardio into my workouts. The thing is, I don't know when to add it. My main method of warming up is the Beginner Bodyweight Workout. Is this enough for Cardio? Also I wanted to ask how I should integrate it with my Stronglifts program. Should I do the Bodyweight workout as a warm-up for Strength lifting. Or do the Beginner Bodyweight Workout on a once every two days basis. For example, should I plan my week like this? Monday: Strength Training Tuesday: Bodyweight Workout Wednesday: Strength Training etc. or this Monday: Bodyweight Workout as Warmup - Strength Training Tuesday: Rest Wednesday: Bodyweight Workout as Warmup - Strength Training Thanks, Steve.
  4. Thanks guys for the welcome and tips. I'll start integrating Strength Training into my next workout.
  5. Hi, my name is Steve, and I am 19 years old currently in University. I needed some guidance on what to do to get healthier. I am 5'11 with 170 pounds. I consider myself overweight but decently athletic because I have some muscle but a lot of mass if you know what I'm saying. The only parts of my body which look to be overweight or are bringing me down is my gut and hips. So far I have begun doing the Beginner Bodyweight Challenge and have thought to be a little too easy. Too spice things up and make me earn a good sweat, I added 5 extra reps to each exercise. I am not sure if I am doing this right. My ultimate goal for this summer is to lose a bit of this fat and ultimately pack on some muscle. I just needed some guidance as to what I should do first. Should I work on losing the fat, or start strength training right away? Thanks in advance, Steve.
