  1. God works all things together for the good of those who love him and who are called according to His purpose. At 29, though you may feel alone, God is calling you to be patient in waiting for someone far better than you could ever imagine. I know it's hard, but purity isn't just something we strive for, it's a way of life. Purity is a direction, and involves much more than just physical things. Ask God to guard the purity of your heart and your mind, and spend an amount of time that some might deem unreasonable in the Word of God. A quirky thing I like to do is go on "dates" with Jesus at least once a week, where I take my food up to my room or somewhere private, listen to quiet worship music, and just talk to God. It really will make you feel less alone.
  2. Amen to that! Seeing Lecrae on this site just made my day lol
  3. Getting in shape is great, as long as you remember that you were fearfully and wonderfully made<3

      :) Lovely reminder!
  4. Day One is a go. It's going considerably well, I believe. I'm working at a summer camp my church does, and I have a lot of support here from some very good friends. Except it was awkward last night when I tried to borrow my friend's belt, and when I told him it didn't fit, he was like "Oh, it's too small?" and I was just like "No." and he seemed actually surprised, which he shouldn't, he's one of those super fit, hit the gym every day, type guys.
  5. Wow so we have a lot in common! Good to know haha
  6. How a person can /gain/ 10lbs walking 6+ miles a day is beyond me. Oh well, gonna take that righttt off.

  7. Wow, great devotion! I am a Christian, honestly if it wasn't by the grace of God, I wouldn't even be here trying to get in shape the healthy way. I struggled with eating disorders over the last three years and finally God has delivered me from that sort of temptation, Nerd Fitness has definitely helped a lot!
  8. My Main Quest: My Main Quest is to lose enough weight to fit into size fourteen pants. Currently, I'm a size 20...except, I'm mostly rockin' the muffin top in my size 18's, since that's all I own because I accidentally gained 10-15 pounds in the last couple of months. Ouch. So, I have a plan as follows: Eat at least 70% Paleo. For sure cut out high fructose corn syrup.Exercise at least five times a week. Focus more on strength and high-intensity-intervals than cardio. My Life Quest: My Life Quest is to finish my Chapter Titles for first quarter (an independent homework assignment I need for college) before school even starts in 6 weeks. Perfect timing! Motivation:You are gonna rock that dress.
  9. First trip to the gym in the morning...nervous :0
