  1. Hello fellow nerdlings! Sorry I have been afk... it has been a busy week with both triumphs and pitfalls. I will post more tomorrow when I have more time =)
  2. Any other rebels in Fayettenam or the NWA metro area?
  3. Salivanth- I will be doing the push-ups in 2 sets in one workout until I cannot, and then I will split them between a morning and an evening workout, as I have had the best luck with this before. Ideally, I would love to do them all at once, but I still have a ways to go for that. I will also be doing leg raises and squats (which I am naturally awful at) in each workout. I am doing this as a morning and evening circuit to get my big ol' butt back in gear =] Alexandrite- Apologies on forgetting to change my class... It's been a while since I've been on NF. Today I was focused solely on setting
  4. Here's a little back story: So, after a little over a year of paying attention (paleo diet, exercise, etc), I have gone from 198 lbs, to 133 lbs. However, I have had many recent changes in my life, and my personal goals have fallen to the wayside. I still stay active, do my "best" to make healthy choices, and log my food every day. I have also put my health to the back burner, and have been more lax with my diet. A recent bout of depression and the fact that I ended up losing my workout partner have simply compounded this. I had been eating bread (gasps), and have recently started breaki
  5. Oh yeah, I should probably mention... I weighed in on Sunday. At first, I was a bit disappointed with the result, but after having a rough couple of weeks workout wise, I'd say I still did ok. I weighed in at 162 lbs. That means that I have lost 36lbs, putting me just past the halfway mark in my weightloss quest... woohoo!!! I will measure soon and post more info =}
  6. Week 3, Monday Day 29 Consumed: 1,458 calories w/ 124g Protein, 97g Carbs (Goal is under 100 target being 86), and 49g Fats ---> Goal met and exceeded, but I did pass my target carbs. Walked: Not today, my calves are a giant ball of pain from my last workout =D Lift: Yes!!! Chest and Shoulders. I had a great workout. Smoking ban: Started of just using my ecig, then wound up bumming a couple from a coworker... still ok. Then I was stupid and I broke down and bought a pack right after work. I smoked most of the pack, but gave away as many as possible. I think I am go
  7. Darling Mad Hatter: Thanks for being freakin awesome! I'm sitting here now at my desk at work. Every muscle in my body protesting loudly against me after a couple of days in a row of lifting. I had a very hard time getting up this morning-literally. My calves didn't want to let me walk... Attempting to distract myself, I lazily meander to NF, and what do I find? An injection of much needed encouragement into my day =) To the pain!
  8. Week 3, Thursday Day 25 Consumed: 1,472 calories w/ 119g Protein, 87g Carbs (Goal is under 100 target being 86), and 61g Fats ---> Goal met Walked: I did not walk today... still sick Lift: No... still sick Smoking ban: I smoked, but not as much today. Week 3, Friday Day 26 Consumed: 1,210 calories w/ 116g Protein, 91g Carbs (Goal is under 100 target being 86), and 44g Fats ---> Goal met, but target carbs exceeded. My average, however, is still low, so I'm going to say that this is ok. Walked: No, still sick, I did not walk today >=/ Lift: Yes, w
  9. Day 24 Consumed: 1,457 calories w/ 129g Protein, 72g Carbs (Goal is under 100 target being 86), and 70g Fats ---> Goal met Walked: No, I fell asleep at 6 pm for a nap and never woke back up =/ Lift: No, I fell asleep at 6 pm for a nap and never woke back up =/ Smoking ban: Smoked 8 cigs (much better than the past few days). I noticed I primarily smoked when people said stupid things that I can't say anything about. Le sigh. Hooray for working in the customer service industry =) I did notice that I also smoked out of boredom while driving (I commute so I spend a d
  10. Soooo totally jealous... this sounds freakin awesome! Good for you lady... that's an intense workout. Where did you manage to find such a class? I must do some more research on this and see if I can find a class like this by where I live =)
  11. Mawww.... Shucks. Ok, I'll quit being a brat and start posting again... you guys are right. I've been going through a bunch of random personal stuff and have been getting pretty down on myself in the process. So let's start with my biggest struggle, smoking: I do believe that you are both right about my nasty little stress habit... I hesitate to say it, but I have some serious commitment issues. The sheer fact that I have publicly stated my intention to quit I find rather stressful (lame). I also have found that it is something that has been keeping me thinking more about it, which is
  12. This week so far: Day 15 Consumed: 1,572 calories w/ 160g Protein, 91g Carbs (Goal is under 100 target being 86), and 63g Fats---> Goal met and exceeded* *I did meet my goal, but I am still having problems with timing my meals correctly Walked: 2.2 mi Hiking with 15 lb pack ---> Goal met and exceeded Lift: No... strategy meeting with workout buddy as to how to improve our workout schedule and exercises. ---> Goal not met, but necessary thought put into future workouts. Smoking ban: Fail. I have smoked every day because of "stress" that I should just be channeling into my w
  13. So... I've kinda been effing it up, and not in a good way: I've been getting really discouraged (for various reasons, but it's really pretty irrelevant) and most importantly, I've been allowing that attitude to transfer to my fitness goals. That said, I will not be posting for last week except for the following. Consumed: I stuck to my goals, but have still been having problems with serious undereating. It would seem that I fall back to this when I get depressed. However, I did stick to my Paleo diet, under my calories (though too much) and under my carbs (though by too much here a
  14. Aww... Thanks Mad Hatter... I must admit I've been getting down on myself for the last few days, which is part of why I haven't posted. You're right, I may have fallen off the wagon when it comes to smoking, but I am doing much better than I would be had I not decided to join this challenge. Thank you for the perspective, I've needed some =) Day 8 Consumed: 938 calories w/ 90g Protein, 82g Carbs (Goal is under 100 target being 86), and 29g Fats-----> Goal met and exceeded* I wasn't feeling well, and came in 722 Calories under. I did meet my goal, but I'm not going to gain muscle or ta
  15. Not thrilled with this choice at all, I had kinda hoped they would go with a lady doctor =/
