Annabelle's Rolling Restart
Wayward Walker replied to Annabelle's topic in Level 1 Rebels (First Time Challengers)
That happens to me a lot at work; one my demons. I get ready to go work out or eat a healthy lunch and I get directed to do something else and all my plans get skewed. Keep your chin up, you're doing great! -
So what is it that you both need help with in staying accountable on your goals? I can tell you mine is food and working out, those are my two biggest ones. I am up at 530am here in Pacific Time and have to be to work at 630am. From there... my day gets hella busy and I don't get much time for anything until after 4pm. Let me know what you guys need help with and we'll brain storm a way to keep each other accountable and remind each other of things. I have no problem giving you both my contact info.

Keep at it. I know it can be discouraging when you don't hit those goals, but you have to keep at it! One silver lining to note, you're at 100/350 of your savings goal!

Finally back home!! The long vacation to Michigan is over and I'm back in sunny southern California. I have a ton to do today to get on track with my goals. I need to go get distilled water for my CPAP, I have a work out to get in today, some meditation and some writing. I'm sitting here at my desk with 256 unread emails in my Outlook inbox and I said screw it, I need a shot of Rebellion! So I am checking in with all of you! @Cavemom - WooT!! You got it. I definitely need people to read, review and critqiue my work. I will remember your offer, thank you! @Upirygirl - I would love to know the name of the company, that sounds really up my alley. Thank you! Actually it is a blue quarter moon. I got it when I was 25 to represent that I wouldn't let my life be the way I had been living it at the time. @Rowan & Laney - Last few days have been rough. I love travelling, but I hate the limited choices in food. I made a lot of good decisions and a couple bad ones. However, I am back in San Diego and getting back on the ball. I have my Fitbit on my wrist and ready to rock!! Thank you so much for thinking of me. Makes me feel all gooey inside... like chocolate cookies right out the oven..oh damn. Better go do some pushups.

@Rowan - thank you, for the encouragement and not running for the hills when you saw my pic! I have heard of NaNoWriMo, and plan to participate this year!! I have been writing since I was 10, but I have not wanted to deal with the rejection to submit anything. My senior year of High School I won a Showcase award in Literary Arts in Michigan. Life and the military has been my excuse, but now I am older, wiser and stronger and am going to get into it again. I write anything from Horror, fantasy to main stream. @Mad - Thank you. @Liz - I will look into that app and see if it will help me! Thank you so much!

F Asshole Mcjudgypants (love the name btw)! YOU FINISHED, YOU ROCK!!! People like that are passive aggressive. They don't have the cajones to look you in the eye and say what they think. Reminds me of Draco Malfoy, always talking to his cronies like a little bitch, because he knew if he faced Harry he'd get slapped down. You are a hero in my eyes!! -

From my research, "Zombies, run!" Seems to be the best app. Was kickstartered and seems really well done. Glad to see your doing great! "Swift as a deer, quiet as a shadow!!"- 42 replies

Awesome job! Love your life quest. I have a friend in the Air Force that spent a week in Sedona, AZ and got into chanting. He had a bowl and everything. Was really amazing the effect it had on him. -
I agree with WildColonialGrrl, just cause an app or something is named "easy" doesn't mean it's easy for you. In the Marines, everyone had an easy time of firing a rifle from the sitting position; was harder than heck for me. Keep it up, keep working at it, you'll get it!!

Because they taste sooooo damn good. I understand that. Even great hunters like Sam and Dean have been seduced by demons "briefly". There are some psychological tricks you can do when the demon cookies raise their heads. I've had to use these at work, that's my battle field. People bring in stuff all the time that I know will wreck my goals. Here is some of the things I've done: - Exit the situation. This is the most evasive method. Get out, mothers are too many demons, and you can't take them on alone. - Bottle up the demons. Lay a wicked "Devil's trap" down, put them in a container and hide them out of sight, out of mind. - Trick the enemy. Eat one, put the rest up where they can't be seen. - Fool them. Don't say, I shouldn't eat those... That invites shame, another demon. Try something more powerful. "I don't eat those anymore." - Sublimation. Grab a celery stick, dip it in some peanut butter and munch on it. - last, but certainly not least, don't beat yourself up too much. It happened, it's done. You can repent, get an extra workout in too burn them off!! Keep it up, nothing is gonna get us down!!

As part of my Life Quest I picked up a notebook yesterday, adding on to that life quest is to carry it with me EVERYWHERE! So, the past few days have been pretty much the same. I am still in Michigan, still doing what I can here, but can't wait to get back to San Diego, to where I have a good routine and not a lot of family/visiting commitments. Its great seeing everybody, however, I need my time back. Hope everyone is having a righteous weekend!

In the "Hero Myth Cycle" this is considered: "The Belly of the Whale"; every good story has it. Think about some of the classic tales. The Millennium Falcon is latched on by a tractor beam and sucked into the Star Destroyer in A New Hope, Fordo is stabbed by one of the nine ring wraiths and must be ferried from Weathertop to House of Elrond in Fellowship of the Ring, Harry Potter must enter the Forbidden forest to discover Voldemort still exists and murdered his family in The Sorcerer's Stone. It is something you have to weather, learn from and overcome. Chin up! Get up, dust yourself off and hit it again! -

That's awesome! I love the elliptical. Its great for no-impact carido. Keep truckin'!! -
In college one of the classes that I took was Tai Chi... amazing way to wake up. Every other day I had to get up at six am, walk over to the basement of one of the university buildings and this old Chinese man, who seemed to speak zero English, would have us walk through the form until after several weeks we had it down. Definitely find something that wakes you up in the morning and gives you energy if you're not a morning person! Good luck!
